After updating to the latest nightly I have discovered a serious drop in my phones battery performance. Not only does it seem to drain much, much faster but even while charging it still drains the battery. Turning wifi off, screen bright brightness down or even setting my phone to 2G nothing seems to stop it draining. Anyone else getting anything similar?

I've got the latest nightly, my first CM10 ROM. I've noticed a quicker battery drain. ie. about 50% in 4-5 hours, with mild use, ie. phone call, some play store downloads and browsing, and full brightness on the screen. It's certainly not as good as ARHD but its not that bad. I'm putting my faith in the wonderfull devs of CM to resolve this soon. Its not a massive issue for me, and hope it gets sorted in the near future.
I'm using the kernel which comes with the ROM which I'm assuming is stock.
Does yours drain even while charging? It's not that irritating no, just an inconvenience really.

no drain while charging. I'm sure battery life will improve as the ROM does.

I was using stock Sense for a short period of time but it seems to me that cm10 takes more battery. And I am using JuiceDefender.
I think that is because I am on Vodafone and having troubles with the network in my home area.
I want to upgrade cm10 and my radio.

Since I got my phone, I installed gsam battery monitor to keep track of wakes locks and etc. (At least until root comes and I can use better battery stats.)
After about a week I noticed that the kernal drains my battery more than anything. It is always above 10%. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas on how to ease the pain of the drain? (haha, that rhymed. )

Hi I currently have telus s3 running cyanogen mod 10.2.
Recently it seems that the battery seems to drain a percent per minute even if its on and doing nothing.
The battery health is good and I always have the screen brightness to auto.
Even if I under clock it to 384 the battery gets really hot fast and just drains.
I dont know what is causing this drain!
If this problem is non fixable can someone please suggest a extended battery that isn't too bulky but has a long life?
Thanks.

Try a different rom maybe?
Check what's using up your battery using the better battery stats app.
Try the greenify app.

Trying to fix my gf T-Mobile s3. Won't give a reliable battery charge and overheats to a ridiculous temp. I am wondering how many have tried flashing as a solution to the the battery problems plaguing this phone. I appreciate any input. Droidednvoided/rootednbooted
Sounds like a bad battery to be honest.. Is the battery bulky or swollen?
Or just plain old?
I was about to buy the phone but found out it has had a big battery drain issue, is this fixed?
Now battery life is good
