Hi I currently have telus s3 running cyanogen mod 10.2.
Recently it seems that the battery seems to drain a percent per minute even if its on and doing nothing.
The battery health is good and I always have the screen brightness to auto.
Even if I under clock it to 384 the battery gets really hot fast and just drains.
I dont know what is causing this drain!
If this problem is non fixable can someone please suggest a extended battery that isn't too bulky but has a long life?

Try a different rom maybe?
Check what's using up your battery using the better battery stats app.
Try the greenify app.

My battery drains way to quick! After plugging at 100% my battery drains every 10 sec. I've tried almost every rom. And right now I'm using milestone 2 from Franco. Still, feels like the battery is draining way too rapidly. I've tried resetting the battery stats and did full recycle of battery as well.. Help! Do I need to get a different battery? This is killing me! My battery suffers too much from just regular use!

Search xda for betterybatterystats. Its an app that will show any wake locks you have
My guess is you have screen brightness too high, don't forget its 4.65" and its thirsty for battery!!
What are your battery usage stats in settings? The GNEX is notorious for its atrocious initial battery life, but if I understand you correctly that it's going 1% every 10 seconds, you must have something installed that's really churning things along or, indeed, a dodgy phone.
How much does XDA want to bet this guy just never puts his phone down, constantly has 4G on, and nothing is actually wrong?
Also, please FFS use the damn search tool.

My battery life hasn't been so great as of lately. IDK if it's ICS or if because my battery is nearing the end of it's life but sometimes my phone reboots and I lose like 30% battery out of nowhere. Is there an app that anyone can recommend to test to see if a battery is still good?

Its kinda an issue with our phones from what i can gather. It seems at 50% or lower it will drop in large numbers when it reboots. I read if u have to reboot to turn on airplane mode before reboot. They say its a fix but i can not confirm.

Not sure if it's an app to test if your battery is still good but you can test if your battery is bad by taking it out and see if it's bulging on the sides.. Also if you let you phone die alot or alot of deep charges that will kill your battery (its best to charge our batteries as much as possible for long term health)
In the meantime you can grab GSam battery monitor from the market or better battery stats to see if it's something chewing up your battery

Are you stock ics or are you on a custom Rom ?
If your stock ff18 ics, this is as good as it gets. If on custom Rom you may have options to tweak settings and save some batt, custom Rom wise the better ones are near stock, the more bells and whistles custom roms have the greater battery hogs they are.

My phone was rooted but now i have flash back a stock RUU RUU_ACE_SENSE30_S_HTC_WWE_3.12.405.1_Radio_12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_225512_signed
if I do nothing with my phone then is the battery drain ok.
But when I use my phone internet music than is my battery drain fast.
Is my battery broken and should I buy a new battery or is it something else what can ik do?

Install Better Battery Stats, look at "partial wakelocks" and "alarms," and see which apps are keeping the phone from going into deep sleep. It sounds like it's getting locked awake after you awaken it yourself.
It could be an old battery as well. They're not very expensive; less than $10 on Ebay.
or try current widget great tool for monitoring consumption.
sense roms drain alot of battery
try some ICS
i am currently using IceColdSandwich - 8.6.1 - AOKP and i can tell you that battery life is awesome i surf on 100% screen and i get around 5h of life. not to mention that everything is much smoother.

Hmm, if the drain in standby is not too bad, it must be more a problem with other settings, right? Like high brightness or bluetooth and syncing stuff.

I am running Embryo 6.11 on my T989. I had flashed the UVMC6 radio from VoiD_Dweller's thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1895400
I have observed that UVMC6 is giving me really poor battery life, as compared to UCLL3.
Really poor = From 100% to 75% overnight (6 hours), with no apps running, screen usage 2 minutes max (had to set my morning alarm)
On UCLL3 it used to be a 3-4% drop during a similar period
Has anyone else seen such a drastic difference in battery life between the two radios?
Any help would be appreciated.
IDK if it makes any difference: I'm using the phone in India.
A rogue app is draining your battery or maybe RILJ bug is keeping your phone lose that much battery.
Download gsam and see what's wrong.

But I' flashed UCLL3 in the morning and my battery consumption is normal now.

I was wondering if my battery life is low or not, so I want to know what your battery life is guyz.
My battery would last like 12hs with wifi always on and facebook, some music here and then and youtube. is it a normal consumption ?
There are so many variables that come into play with battery life that is nearly impossible to quantify what sort of battery life someone should be getting. Screen on time, brightness settings, radios used, reception, usage patterns, apps running in the background....tons of things that will be different from person to person. Also, the actual battery itself comes into play with how well it can hold a charge.
As long as you are happy with your battery situation, all is well. If not, perhaps look into what is using your battery. Better Battery Stats can potentially help you narrow down where things on the software end are draining your battery.

If youre not happy you can undervolt to get amazing battery life..

That's about what I use to get.
I went out and bought a spare battery. I'm not a fan of extended batteries so I went with a standard battery for about $10.
I also flashed a new kernel that will help on the screen brightness and underclocking.
