If there is a plan behind this I really would like to know what Samsung tries to do because I don`t see how this is good for Samsung if they are removing great games/apps from the market. Really weird .....

Why in hell samsung removed it. Its so stupid
Maybe the app was not ready to be deployed and then they removed it.
I'm sure sur that the app will be available again because Samsung as no interest in removing good apps.
Is the app store working for anyone right now? I'm getting a 404 not found network errow when I click the app icon in Kies. It was working fine last week, now it's fubar.
its maintenance
when i opened dolfin yesterday it showed me warning that samsung apps wil be closed soon for upgrade
different countries have different timings
Code:

<Icon></Icon>
<Manufacturer></Manufacturer>
<Version>[B]1.6.3[/B]</Version>
App is around 40 MB...

Angry birds is only available via mobile samsung apps on wave 3.
Use the new method to trick the samsung servers in order to make your mobile appear as wave3.
Lets see how soon, soon is...
I mean now legal public for all S8600 customers.
It seems Angry Birds was in store since 30. December 2011.
+ - few days, because not public store...
But we all know since when it is missing... in public.
We have now 22. january.

So I know that it was basically JUST announced that the HD will now include these two games, but I'm wondering if anyone has cabs?
For anyone who hasn't read it yet: http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=3985
Alternatively, I would be more than happy to spend $10 on the Need For Speed version already available on several app sites, but it seems that version only works with hardware controls, whereas the version on the HD works with the G-Sensor.
It's always the way isn't it! You spend a truck load of money on a device and then the manufacturer comes along and makes it cheaper and better.
Oh how I curse thee early adopter syndrome!
Hopefully the legends here will be able to extract the games and cab them up. Can't see how it could be considered Warez. If the Need for Speed is as good as Xtrakt then I'm laughing. Devices this good need to have better games, and ones that make use of the g-sensor. As much as I love Uno, it's hardly impressive!
Oh yeah right, I "extract" something from a shop - how can it be considered stealing? I dont think EA (the game manufacturer) intends to share it here with all of us. Maybe Monopoly, its a trial and needs to be activated on the HD.

i think the guy means extract it from a rom when and if we get an updated rom with games in them, which would be possible, we jus gotta wait to see how they release them
freeware
it aint going to be freeware so they wont be on roms as that sort of thigs isnt allowed here. Rom cooking is tolerated by HTC and other parties but that would dry up very quickly if people started adding stuff like coreplayer mobile and non freeware games. You'll have to find a "backup" copy on torrents

If that's the case then how come an extacted copy of Xtrakt from the X1 has been permitted on here? We don't know (or at least I don't know) the details of how these games are going to be included in the newly bought HDs.
If there's something on the HTC site about it then I couldn't find it. The link from the wmpoweruser site doesn't go to any article and when I looked it wasn't a headline on the HTC site.
surely the word "Bundled" means included as in already on the phone when u get it, my prime example would be the xtrakt game that came with a xperia rom and was extracted and we can use on our device, so yes it will be possible if thats how the games were implemented.
i understand that ea dont release freeware games but if they do get released "Bundled" into a rom update theres no reason why we couldnt update to that rom so i dont see why we couldnt extract the rom and get the goods,
WE SHALL SEE,
you never know it might just be a link to the games in the box when u get the games

just beat me to it lol!
Folks, I'd be willing to bet the house that the next official ROM upgrade release from HTC for the HD will include the two games. And we all know that official ROM upgrades are free. So to me, if you own an HD, upgrading for free to a new official ROM that includes the two games, is no different than getting them here in cab form.
Now, if HTC never releases a new official ROM for the HD, then all that is moot.

Oh of course I forgot, HardSPL was made available by HTC, so you can update your ROM, and of course you can update your HD with a Xperia ROM and copyrighted software on it...nono...keep on dreaming.
I profit from updates and extracts like you guys, but I dont give myself false excuses for it. And again, the Monopoly game is just a trial on the Singapore HD. Peace.
im not making excuses im stating it how i see it, if it gets released in a updated rom then its mines MINES i tell u, if i have to pay for it i will, either way ill have the game,,,
so what about the manila update for rhodium that got bundled into a rom and extracted and now is available on our phones, so deal with it, calm down with your mr police officer act, we're all just speculating. not promoting theft
From my point of view they aren't selling it, so if we get it here for free they've not lost any revenue.
If they were to offer it for sale then that'd be different, but I'm sure they wouldn't be short of sales from us and others.
Given that we want to encourage games like this on WM it would be foolish not to buy it if we can. If we can't then we can still show that there's a demand for it.
I would most definitely be interested in acquiring those games for my HD! I hope you guys are right in your guess with them being included in the next rom update from HTC. I'm loving Xtrakt, Need 4 Speed would be the game I've been waiting for personally!
Hopefully soon!
it will be great to get these games.. i hate seeing the iphone ads on tv where they play games that utilize the g-sensor.. finally htc will utilize this utility and do it also!
I've confirmed that the version of this game currently available at Handango does NOT support the G-sensor.
So, HTC, hurry up already, will ya?!

The answer is quite simple: never.
I think that there won't be any Whatsapp (because Samsung wants its own ChatON app, only for Bada), Angrybirds or any Cydia (if you are an Iphone lover xD)
That's the problem of bada, having a phone with smartphone capabilities, but with no support of developers and Samsung itself.

I will explain in english. Our friend Istvan visited the IFA 2011 on the September 1st and asked the Samsung representative regarding release of Skype and Angry Birds for bada. The representative shown him a "bilboard" with Wave 3 and the icon of Angry Birds flying over the device. Additionally the representative explained that the apps are under development and probably will be released by the end of the year.
they are in custom badaitalia firmware 1.2 http://www.badaitalia.com/2011/05/16/custom-firmware-badaitalia-v1-2-per-samsung-wave-s8500/
I've recently sideloaded kinectimals the sims 3 and PES2011. As i played those games i earned arcievements but only on DFT ROM 7720 v2.

Sideloading a game sounds like the game is being pirated. There is no supported method to buy a game then sideload it in the WP7 marketplace.
The only way that this is possably legal is if the OP paid for the game, then sideloaded it but, even then it's questionable.
As I am wondering how this works, it's stil a questionable in a legal aspect, so I will not continue the discussion.
Personally, this promotes piracy (with the DFT rom you can still get achivements off downloaded Xbox live games) and this thread should be closed...if not deleted.

And that makes it okay? Gtfoh, these developers bust their asses to deliver great products to us, and some of you guys believe the world should be free. It must be nice envisioning a communist society, some of you even live in one. But, considering I'm not a communist or socialist, I think the arguments to support piracy on this forum are ridiculous. In fact, the payment system records what games you have bought all through. Once you would like to install it again (on same Live account), they will ask you if you would like to installed it again now as you have already paid for that.
I haven't met the double payment for the same app so far.
Even pressing "buy" still doesn't mean you have already bought and paid, instead they will ask you if you really want to pay as there is no refund for it. You may have a try.

That still is not an excuse to pirate. Most banks offer pre-paid creditcard options for this type of stuff.
Now days if you open any checking account (at least in the US) you expect to get a debit card with a Visa/Mastercard logo on it.
As I 100% agree with you, everyone thought, Xbox live=Xbox points before WP7 came out. I would like the option myself but, it should not make you pirate.
If you can afford the collection of phones that you have had or have, I am sure you can afford a $2-5 game or app here and there. If you can not, sell your smart phone and go buy a fip phone. You should not be here in the first place.

I was convinced some weeks back we'd never see Angry Birds for Bada. At least not in a time frame that would breath new life into the Bada app scene.
Then hell froze over and Angry Birds came out, but only for the Wave 3 and only for a few days. As is usual in the Samsung Bada disastersphere, an app just goes missing off the store with no explanation.
Now we've got Asphalt 6, Tintin, Hyperfight, and a few other Bada 2.0 only apps. Oddly most will on Bada 1.2, yet only can be downloaded for Wave 3 handsets. Keep in mind the Wave 3 handset only ever had Bada 2.0. Weird.
Anyway that got me thinking. I had a feeling maybe Samsung was holding back some apps for the release of the Wave 3. Maybe a good idea in their view, but a very poor one in mine. The Wave 3 will never sell as many handsets as the Wave II, let alone the Wave I. So nice move to go lockout all the previous Bada customers who put some faith in the OS, yet ended up again having waited for something and got... nothing.
I had wondered why there hadn't been any new apps from any of the big app companies for the best part of a whole year. Samsung seem to live in a world where they think people are prepared to wait endlessly while they fritter away time. It all makes sense now. Wipe the slate clean, and consider the Wave 1+2 as being testbeds. The Wave 3 is then ready to rule to world in their eyes. Thus they kept back these marque apps to help launch their Wave 3.
The problem is I still don't see any movement from app developers. Things are moving way to slow for any momentum to be made or for the early 8500 momentum to be kept going.
No matter how good Bada 2.0 is, Samsung simply cannot get anything done in a timely manner. It's not as though, hey guys we're sorry we need to polish a few things, and then it explodes all in an awesome way. No it'll be the same as we've all experienced so far. Waiting, promises of soon, leaks of things that will never get released, and enough carrots to keep people around just that little bit longer. But really it's sad a great handset has been killed by incredibly bad app store management, the slowness in how things were released, or even it at all. The low number of ported apps hurt the Wave as well. It's not that hard for a proper app company to port an app from the iOS/Android. I mean they get to use all the same art/sounds and most of the internal game code. So it has to come down to them not expressing interest, been turned off by Samsungs app policies or not seeing Bada as worth their time / or worth investing in a sinking/dying OS.
Bada 2.0 is goog enough to be the 3rd best phone OS imho. But the lack of apps ie. Skype will mean it will fail until such a time as Samsung either ditch it (Tizen perhaps?) or realise they do need to get marque apps and ports happening in abundance. At the end of the day I wouldn't care if I was using an iOS/Android or Bada phone as long as I was given a nice wide app selection. But I'm sick of this waiting feeling knowing we're just sitting there in the rowboat with no oars heading towards the falls.
At this point unless things change, people are already actually ditching their Waves and heading over to iOS/Android. I still hope the BadaDroid project turns out to be a success, but if not, in time I'm not going to give a toss and will just get a proper phone instead of using a phone that could have been one of the greats, but was knee capped at every opportunity to make it a failure.

I think you guys missed the point. I'm well aware of the workarounds and ways to get apps to "work". My point is it's disappointing that it comes to this. It's not as though there are 1000s of apps for the S8600 and with workarounds you can make em all work on the 8500. I'm totally ok with that. The problem is we aren't getting the apps in the first place. I've spent plenty of time helping others create programs and solutions for the Wave over the past year and a half.
My enthusiasm is waning if I'm being honest about this whole Bada experience. The amount of time and energy spent to even get a proper Skype on the Wave would have been better spent working a few extra hours and buying a proper Android phone. I see Bada now as nothing more than a dike full of holes. I've already used up all my fingers to plug them and it's still leaking.
Oh and maybe guys at least make the effort to read someones full post before assuming they are a lazy noob crybaby. Best Regards.

Well I don't agree!
You guys are at the point of almost saying "well if you don't get firmware updates often enough and if you don't get enough useful apps, start developing your own and hack your phone and scratch your left ear with your right hand going over your head.."
What would be next? Build your own hardware if you don't like the specifications? Isn't that a bit.. hmm, how should I say it... CRAZY?
Is that why you took the money out of your pocket and gave it to Samsung? To get some piece of hardware and start banging your head against the wall each day on how to actually do something with it?
If things were to ever change, they would change because of "5 year old girls in pink outfits crying" and saying "Samsung, we paid you so deliver or GTFO of the marketplace". Not because of "cool computer whizzes" spending nights in their room hacking their phone to make it smart.
Fact: compared to 2010, in 2011 Samsung mobile phone sales increased by ~7% reaching 300.000.000 units (8.000.000 running Bada and we know how things are on this side..)
Fact: compared to 2010, in 2011 Samsung's profit increased by 73% (I don't think that's due to entry level phones - since a 7% volume increase gives you a 73% profit increase that means you sold more expensive phones than the previous year)
Fact: the Galaxy S1 which was the flagship until not long ago won't get the last Android update because Samsung doesn't care about it anymore. It sells the S2 now.. So it motives dropping the support for the S1 by saying it doesn't have enough memory, even though manufacturers like HTC or LG (apparently) did manage to find a compromise and squeeze the extra resources on configurations similar to those of the Galaxy S1.
Although I agree with what KrazyKong is trying to say here, adfree is right. This is the "Bada Software and Hacking General" forum. This is the place where people get off their butts (metaphorically ) and actually do something. If you want ti complain about Samsungs disregard for Bada, there are plenty of other forums where you can do that.

hi guys ....i just moved from wildfire to wave 2 .....sooooo
do you advise upgrading my wave 2 from bada 1.2 to 2.0?
I would have advised staying with your wildfire, but anyway I'd suggest making sure you know which specific device you have and if it's locked or has specific modem requirements before flashing 2.0, for example, you said wave 2, do you mean S8530 or the other mid-low range bada phone?

I too agree with KrazyKong. He puts his finger right on the button in pointing out the way samsung deal with their app store...
Agreed, Adfree points out XDA is a place where we can effectively get off our arses but I think we at XDA aren't 'normal' phone users. How many of us are 'that guy(or girl) that knows telephones' ?
Also ask yourself this, what percentage of iPhone users tinker as we do with our phones? Oh and do Apple or Google for that matter bugger about with their app store as do Samsung ?
It's Samsung that are entirely to blame for the non-success of Bada.
The reason there's no Skype, blame Samsung.
No Angry Birds, Blame Samsung.
I do however give them credit for leaking firmware, If only they would leak more precise information about their modem
Cheers
Hi.
Yesterday new polish marketing director of Samsung Electronics Poland in interview with „Mobility” (9/2012) said that they're ending up with bada because in 2013 there will be Tizen.

Yes, Samsung is quite untrustworthy.
Most of us said the same like you...that we shall never buy a Samsung phone again.
Especially after the dashed hopes on the first ever 8mega camera phone (INNOV8) or the first ever HD camera phone (HD Omnia) of the Symbian OS family. But today we are still with Samsung because there are no other best option.
All phone manufacturers are selfish; they seek to satisfy their pockets only.

they never provided required love and support to their own child "Bada".
They never promoted it to any extend.
Wave users got so called BIG update after 2 years and that with soo many bugs.
we are only asking for bug free os for our smartphones and nothing else

Is that really true???
there are also few manufacturers who makes good quality smartphones and provides good support.Nokia,HTC,Sony.. to name few of them.
As you know,SONY provided ICS to all its Android phones manufactured in 2011.
Nokia as every one know supports its customers by many ways.

But does Nokia have new phones with other soft than Windows Phone? Nokia was good, but... do you remember MeeGoo (or Maemo)?
HTC maybe is good, but... in my country it's too expensive. And for me, every HTCs have strange design.
Sony? Maybe it's good too... but after adventure with PlayStation I don't trust it anymore. You don't know if any phone has "backdoor" to check if you have rooted phone, right?

Yes. That show how many idiots work in Samsung. People don't know anything, but say things like "we will add mp3 player equalizer, maybe in bada 3.0", after my question. NICE! I'd like to buy other brand of phone, but... I trusted samsung. Now I don't have "my" brand.

Normally in next few days is IFA in Berlin...
About Tizen is absolutly silence since April 2012, since their first and last SDK...
Tizen is designed by same Samsung Developers... we know from bada...

architect of bada and tizen platform

If on IFA is nothing about Tizen... then maybe next event is MWC 2013
http://www.mobileworldcongress.com/2013-preview.html
Maybe this means Tizen devises only available in middle 2013...
Okay, bada is at the moment not very attractive to end user...
Little bit Zombie...
But it is alive via Samsung App Store...
Tizen seems not finish or crappy... And Tizen is in main Samsung baby again...
See Tizen SDK...
Tizen SDK is from Samsung.
I don't think, that other manufacturer will release Tizen devices before Samsung nor before Tizen SDK is complete... Download from folder unstable...
Maybe someone should use Twitter with Justin Hong...
He seems also offline since April...
Strange...
Release Name: bada SDK 2.0.5
Release Date: 2012/03/14

Last bada SDK, 1 month later last Tizen SDK...
Maybe also this vs. Apple is one reason, why Tizen is not finished yet and ready to launch this year...

Now,why i say NOKIA is best, trustworthy company in customer satisfaction....
1. Nokia released N9 With meeGo 1.0 in September 2011(around 1 year back).
2. This was the only phone(i think) which was released by Nokia having Meego.
3. Updates :-
MeeGo 1.1 -Nov 2011- Music controls on the lock screen, additional filters to the camera application, NFC tag reading, Twitter image sharing, Swype keyboard, Chinese language support, noise cancellation using second microphone
MeeGo 1.2 -Mar 2012 - Folders in the Applications view, Continuous shutter mode in Camera, Google Talk video calls, improvements to the Nokia Drive application such as Speed limit settings, defining home location, etc., DLNA media sharing, software update notifications for 3rd party applications (downloaded from Nokia Store), playlist support in music player, enhancements to the Mail for Exchange address book (ability to access corporate mail address directory), Universal Copy and paste support and in the stock browser; Thai, Hebrew, Persian, Vietnamese and Kazakh language support
MeeGo 1.3-July 2012 -Over 1000 quality improvements including Mail, Facebook, Twitter, minor network & connectivity improvements.
Now,that's called Customer support.it doesn't matter how many N9 sold worldwide by Nokia, they only know how to satisfy customers.
You can compare this with Sammy's Bada.(Guys, Correct me if I am wrong, its from wiki)

very true adfree....
we are not saying give us millions of apps...we are saying give us bug free os and some support.
it's not our problem how many OS's Samsung supports...but,it does not mean Samsung should leave one task incomplete and start another one.
Hm... sound great. So you're right that nokia has good customer support. But nokia killed this os. Faster than samsung (officially ). What about applications? Are developers creating new applications/games for MeeGo?
yes, same they did with Wave 3 architecture and wave 1/2 ....same game can't run on both due to some texture issue.

Yes, but it's both apps developers and bada certification team fault.

Especially if bada 2.0 has LESS options than bada 1.2. Where's my fake call option? Where are my profiles?

and what i hate most...is we the users of bada not asking anything to Samsung.
don't give us apps...we will not say a word.
don't give us updates...we will not say a word.
don't treat us as customer..we will not say a word.
Samsung can answers to petition or protest of galaxy users(Galaxy S -ICS),so what wrong have we done?
I really felt bad for wave 1 users..as they got so called BIG update after 2 years.
We said many words. But samsung don't answer to any of them. I've reported memory leak bug in software: 2 months ago. Any response I got is "Thanks. We are checking it and we'll return to you soon".
Yes,Memory leak is another critical bug in Bada 2.0,make me to restart my cell every day before playing heavy games...
we should work as unit to ask Sammy to answer our questions.
Regards...
Memory management is critical bug. But i discovered bug in WebApi. Function setWallpaper doesn't free memory. After few calls to this function, in badaSI you can see that you have less "free memory". That's why my widget "WChanger" (wallpaper changing after eg. few minutes) was rejected from certification.
EDIT: first they said that there isn't any bug. To my next report with my firmware attached, 2 months ago, I didn't get answer.
Its very Strange (the ram management issue) after changing my PCB from samsung service center the problems seems to be vanished, now i can start and play any games anytime without restarting the phone, even "not enough memory" error is gone
Hmmm Strange very Strange
