HD2 running WP7 - successfully!

the leo really is running wp7, its running it horribly slow.... but its running it none the less

This section is for WP7S software development and yes its been posted before

i doubt that.
it looks like HD2 is using remote desktop mobile version to control PC's WP7 emulator.
so as to the previous video which shows HD2 "running" MAEMO OS.

I doubt it points to an emulator via RDP since the emulator that ships as part of the SDK only contains IE and nothing else

Not totaly true, they hacked the emulator so that you can have all the apps (check pocketnowvideo on youtube)
but I personally think it's still fake

Could we dump the emulator ROM...?

The emulator ROM is x86 whereas the phone itself is ARM.

it will be done within a week or two.my company is actively working on the port as well as myself night and day.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Unless they plan on selling the ROM, which would be highly illegal, I don't know why a company would work on it.

It could also be the phones they are using are not there personal phones. Or they just are really that bad lol but my 5 yrs old nephew can get 100 so I think they can do better

There's no reason to describe the gameplay in such a manner.
They use fruit ninja becasue it is an easily recognizable popular game that many people know. If angry birds was out, I'm sure they'd use that

a phone is perfect for casual gaming. I did buy "The Harvest" and while it was excellent it wasn;'t nearly as enjoyable for quick plays when you have free time etc

Halo. Forza 4 (perfect for WP7, even downloading "ghost" cars to race against to climb the leaderboards). MIA. Missed opportunity.

Ya Know when they were hyping up "The Harvest" and talking about how games like this were an display of what windows mobile could do I should have known it was a trap.

I want Emigmo 2....I wish they would release that for WP7.... I beat Emigmo 3 times now (all 50 levels).

Yeah I mean, I kind of agree with that. I have a 360 and consider myself to be a hardcore gamer and I'm just satisfied knowing that if I buy these games I'll get achievements with them.

This just looks like some of the new titles announced at the Gamescom event so i wouldnt take it as the difinitive list, specially seeing as there were over 60+ new XBL games for WP7 announced at the event. http://www.bestwp7games.com/
Maybe MS still need to attract the attention of the major gamehouses that furnish the other platforms with the titles i think you would like to see. Once the mango update is officially released and revenue begins to flow i'm sure the better titles will come.
Have patience though, MS has the Xbox platform and all of the software contacts it needs to make this work, they wouldnt purposefully make WP7 crappy imho.
In the meantime there are some top titles in the marketplace already (sonic, harvest, PES etc...) and i'm sooo looking forward to Toy Soldiers.

Forza 4 Maybe, but how the hell you gonna play Halo on a phone? It's hard enough on the console.

Meh, on the phone I want games that I can take up and play for a few minues when I'm waiting for a bus or something like that, games that is fast to get into and that I can quit anytime.
For hardcore gaming a have a PC.

What about games like call of duty and black oops? GTA auto theft..?

You're joking right? You want to play these on a phone? The only hardcore game I would try on a phone is a RTS. That said, even on the casual front WP7 is doing poorly. The OS was announced 18 months ago and released 10 months ago and Xbox Live is still a joke. They should have just called it Games for WP and added the Live name in a year or two because as it is now it's doing the brand a disservice.
Oh by the way, there's no game release next week.

I am just giving it more time till mango .. if we continue to see current list of sub-par games like 'tic tac toe' and 'tap here to kill an ant and get achievements'.. than unfortunately i will make that switch by June. Because it is not an enterprise phone either, so if it cant help me in work than at least compensate that by bringing in serious entertainment.

The OP has a valid gripe. The horsepower is there and the talent is there. These franchises can translate to the phone. I play FIFA and NBA Jam and FPS games on my iPod touch and iphone. Why can't my Focus do the same?

i've searched on google and find so many forums about it , furthermore there is so many opinion about it.last week , i read a thread and op said that : porting psp games on xperia play is in progress by sony ?!?

I wouldn't think so, since the Vita is coming out by Sony with cell phone abilites, I don't think the sony mobile team would want to add in all those features, but thats just my opinion.

No it won't, it has 3G for online capibilities, the only way the vita can make calls is with something like skype, and as microsoft now own them thats unlikely.

i see but voip can never take over a real phone some countries internet is not available on the go or have very limited data plans....

Microsoft owning skype doesn't change anything, the people running it are the same. Itll just be driven to specific platforms like windows phone where its embedded
It'll still work on non microsoft product

the SDK contained some cross platform api's but imo the best we can hope for is the sort of cross platform Xbox and Windows phone has with Microsofts XNA SDK.

If there is a plan behind this I really would like to know what Samsung tries to do because I don`t see how this is good for Samsung if they are removing great games/apps from the market. Really weird .....

Maybe the app was not ready to be deployed and then they removed it.
I'm sure sur that the app will be available again because Samsung as no interest in removing good apps.

Is the app store working for anyone right now? I'm getting a 404 not found network errow when I click the app icon in Kies. It was working fine last week, now it's fubar.

Angry birds is only available via mobile samsung apps on wave 3.
Use the new method to trick the samsung servers in order to make your mobile appear as wave3.
