works smooth-thanks
some nice options
did wipe - loaded right over latest eos, installed gapps rebooted.
Deep sleep issue fixed by chance?
Your all over the place, great work and thanks as always.

Thanks for this.
Installed Rom and apps no issues.
Couple of things I noticed.
On initial start up, it says it is skipping Wifi setup, then takes you to the Wifi setup screen.
Love the battery icon, but the Network icon is still there, any chance you could remove that ?
I like that you have included a file manager, I keep my backups on the external card. It was a bit of a pain as I had to go to the market to get Es file manager just to get to the External card with the other rooms.
Wallpapers are a nice touch but I find they do not scale correctly ? That's why I have to use Wallpaper Slide show to sort out scaling ?
Have not tried OTG yet, but I feel its an app issue to get that working for large internal drives.
Seems to be a problem with the md5 checksum for the rom. I've downloaded the file on 2 computers and on my Xoom. All three report a checksum of B6C410298E5816E3DE1AB206FC1BFBE5. Not a match. Well, going to assume the one in the OP is incorrect and flash it anyway. It's the old no pain, no gain thing I guess.
Flashed and up and running. Haven't been running it long enough to check everything out but I like what I see so far. Very responsive and running smooth.
Thanks for the ROM kejar. Nice, just as one would expect from you. Only thing I know of so far that could use a little tuning is that md5 sum in the OP. . Thanks again.
So great to see you on the xoom cant wait for all the awesomeness to come
Looks promising. Hope for working 3g soon. Installing on my xoom now.

FroydVillain 1.1.9 INFO & Release Notes:
Hi folks, ninpo has been working on this one non-stop for the past few days, so he is having a well-earned rest, and I'll write up this release.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
REMEMBER the ROM will only be at peak performance after it's been rebooted a couple of times, and when you've opened your apps once prior.
adb install won't work on this ROM, until you tick "Unknown Sources" in the Menu > Settings > Applications menu.
This appears to be a new security feature. Similarly, apps pushed to /data/app won't work either. You might not notice the issue, but the app does not get any of its permissions it should have, meaning that it is probably useless, and might FC constantly or whatever. So remember to tick the Unknown Sources box
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
When you install this ROM, DO NOT USE GOOGLE BACKUP OR RESTORE. It really slows the ROM down, like all Froyo ROMs, and it uses loads of battery even when you think you're not doing anything. So it's not cool. So turn it off in the setup wizard
This ROM does NOT come with the optimal kernel installed. It comes with a safe one. You NEED to read the section "kernels" below for more information about these, and which to choose Then, once installed, open the app "CPUSpeed" and set up your CPU speeds. This ROM uses the interactive governor, which gives much better battery than other governors... So, set interactive as the main governor, then set your minimum and maximum. Then repeat this for sleep mode. If you have a 352MHz base kernel, set both the max and min sleep speeds to be 352 MHz
So... What's changed?
[*]CAMERA WORKS FOR VIDEO AND PHOTOS (thx cyanogen)
Includes DSPManager
Autobrightness fixed
Includes new CPUSpeed app- no need for SetCPU
Faster boot process
New boot animation
Pressing menu twice will unlock screen
Big kernel changes (more info to follow)
Different build method to improve binary performance
So... How do I get it?
A full wipe is MANDATORY for this ROM, regardless of what you're upgrading from
See here for download information etc.

Isn't it safe to let Google Restore do the work restoring all your files and information etc and thén turn it off in the settings? That's what I used to do and it doesn't seem to slow my phone down or consume more battery.
Otherwise. Cheers on this probably amazing ROM once again! Flashing this after I get back from work.

awesome rom, tested a bit and i'm finally gonna drop my 2.1
Just FYI, the two kernel variants (19MHz base or 352MHz base) are for the two different types of Hero users. One group apparently cannot put their phone to sleep at anything less than 352MHz or all hell breaks loose and the others can set low speeds no problem.
So choose based on your past overclocking methods.
EDIT: I'll post a kernel changelog tomorrow. Too tired now. Lots and lots and lots and lots of fixes though.
Just one more quick little question if y'all don't mind.
Does this release include the stock keyboard dictionaries that were missing in 1.1.1? Like Dutch etc.

just flash - or do a dalvik wipe before kernel-flash?
Ok, awesome rom. There is some strange thing in the settings menu - "@221390573215" or something. Pressing it causes a FC.
No need to wipe anything when flashing a kernel.

Yeah it's a bug, my fault. I cheat and use Cyanogen's repo so I don't have to make my own Hero vendor/devices. I didn't strip CMparts out properly in this one.
Kernel source was never posted, so I took it down, cause I guess it violates some really stupid forum rules....I'm sure people know by now they can find this on some of the better smartphone websites.

Yes this works great on my VM Intercept. Make sure you flash stock Sprint 2.1 then stock Sprint 2.2, then flash this. For some reason going to 4.2 caused a bunch of FC's, so I flashed 4.0 and then flashed 4.2. Has been working great ever since. How to link is below.
I like nightlies! As soon as my girl let's me mess with her phone, ill slap this baby on there. 4.2 is the best her phone has seen. 2weeks, she hasn't had a fc or needed to reboot for those odd reasons that occur time to time.

Welcome to the "Energy" ROM collection thread !
This development thread is the home of my "EnergyROM" custom firmware series for the Kindle Fire device. Here you will find ROMs that I have created for this device over time. My main goal when putting a ROM together is stability but...
I build my ROMs with four main goals.
Stability through private beta testing before public release
Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
Speed !!!
Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
Now on to the good stuff...
(You can stay up to date on the status of my ROM development by "following" me on Twitter)
How to Flash this ROM:
- Root your device
- Install TWRP custom recovery
- Install the downloaded ROM .zip found in post #3
- Make sure to do a Factory Reset / Wipe before installing ROM

This looks cool. I am going to try it out...
Nice!
Ok, so I tried it. Once I got passed the setup wizard (which FC-ed repeatedly), I was welcomed by a super Project Butter-y smooth version of android. I can't stress how much smoother JB is compared to ICS. While scrolling through homescreens, there is only an occasional stutter, but that was only when I packed every screen with widgets.
It isn't a daily driver, but this port is a great sneek-peek of what is to come in JB!
Thanks!
EDIT: Was trying to turn off tablet when I noticed that if you hold down the Power Off option in the power menu, you get an option for "Safe mode". It says that in safe mode, all third party apps are disabled. When in safe mode, JB is not as smooth, and I am guessing it does what it does.

If wifi was working id use this NOW. But i need my wifi....awesome work tho! Keep it up...
This is real cool man!
Keep up the hard work, really appreciate that!
I've been anticipating for this, will try this out soon
Just to confirm, factory wipe if switching from CM9(ICS) to this?
Thank you very much. I did install it to take a look. It does seem as though Jelly Bean will be one more step forward in Android. I reverted to CM9.0 Night lies for temporary functionality. Wifi is the important one first. Thanks again for the fine work.

When I tried it I had a full back up of CM9 Nightly plus a zip of CM9.0 and Google Apps. As well as the Jelly Bean From. Did a Factory Wipe, Cache and Delvik Cache. Then Flashed away. Later restored my Back Up. All worked flawlessly.

Here we have my version of AOKP....
For any of you guys that have had a HTC device you will have more than likely heard of
IceColdJelly by LorD ClockaN
Well this is IceColdJelly but compiled for the Galaxy S4... LorD ClockaN has very kindly let me use his github... its got nothing else added yet, but I will be looking at adding more features as and when I can....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Code:
ICJ Build 1.5
AOKP updates
Added Notification Behavior
Updated Keyboard so it looks better in Dark AOKP
ICJ Build 1
Initial release.....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Whats Not Working?
You tell me...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU NEED CWM 6.0.3.3 OR LATER TO BE ABLE TO FLASH THIS ROM... OTHER RECOVERIES MAY WORK, BUT I AM ONLY RECOMMENDING CWM!
If you post in the thread saying you've tried to flash with the wrong recovery and it doesn't work correctly you will be publicly ridiculed for not reading the OP and for basically being a Muppet....You have been warned
1. Download rom ... Duh! and then Gapps
2. Put rom on SD card
3. Make sure you have latest Gapps on there too
4. Make sure you have recovery installed (The latest Official CWM is recommended... at least 6.0.3.3... look here for latest http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager)
5. Factory Wipe/Data Reset, Wipe Cache and Wipe Dalvik Cache, then go to mounts and storage and format system
6. Flash Rom...
7. Some have suggested you have less issues if you let rom boot up before you flash Gapps... I'll leave that up to you
8. Flash Gapps
9. Some like to wipe caches again... If you normally do that, then do it
10. Reboot
11. Enjoy the Rom...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Download the Rom Here
I've linked to the Slim Gapps as they seem to work best with the Dark AOKP feature...
Download the Gapps Here
Github Here and Here

Thanks also goes out to
Massive thanks to @LorD ClockaN for his help when compiling this and letting me use his github of course

Future Updates - READ THIS!
By providing this ROM I am not guaranteeing that future updates will follow. Due to limits on my time and the fact I have multiple devices I need to keep updated it isn't possible for me to continue providing ROM updates indefinitely. Please do not be under the assumption that future releases will be available (I don't want you to be disappointed!).

So far so good! Nice and smooth!
Would it be possible at some stage to add disable hw button lights? Right now I have to use a script and then another program to run it at startup because cm kernel don't support init.d
Awesome rom! Would be cool of you could include the gesture unlock that is in your latest Pac Build.

If you put this file on /system/etc/init.d/ with perms you'll get an initsupport.txt file under /data and see that init.d works.
https://app.box.com/s/5ct52rshou552m9m0i9v
I'm not sure about the app you mentioned,it push an init.d file named testinitd with only 6 0 0 as perms (?) that attempt to write an initsupport.txt file under /storage/emulated/0/.
I can't really say about perms and the way is named the file, maybe it's ok with only rw- --- --- and no numbers as prefix but from my little tests with my own init scripts I can't get anything written to sdcard either.
Dunno I'm pretty new on this device maybe it's the way sdcard is mounted (its path but probably not as the same script works with script manager) on cm based rom or init.d process is too early for sdcard to be mounted but init.d works.
Going to try this
