Every single one of those observations has been beaten to death in the last month. Battery life always sucks at first, but battery life on the GSM version kicks ass.

Surprisingly enough, I am getting 10 hours of battery life on LTE.
This is regular use, streaming music, checking facebook, pictures, and sms...
It's still better than what I used to get on my Incredible.
Oh dear. Am i the only one who uses the phone on manual brightness on the lowest it goes? I think the screen looks great even at low brightness. I rarely go above 30/40% as there is no need other than to drain battery.

I just got mine today as well, after talking myself out of it since it's release...mainly because of lack of removable storage, signal issues, and camera quality. I'm not having any signal issues despite the fact that I live in a generally poor reception area, camera isn't as bad as I was expecting, and I think I can live without the MicroSD slot in exchange for the sheer beauty of this phone. The materials also feel nicer than I thought they would. The OS is a surprisingly big improvement over 2.3, enough that I think i'll actually wait a bit before flashing any ROM's. Very very nice...

And I'm happy with it... NO CARRIER BLOAT, faster updates direct from Google, etc. I have to admit, however, that I was skeptical that it could replace my SGSII (T989) but I'm happy to say it was eBay'd this morning. And after seeing the SGSIII, I'm glad I didn't wait and I'm not looking back.
I like these threads Just got mine the other day, too. Sold an iPhone 4s and have no regrets. This is the first time I've used 4G and its great when I'm away from wifi. The ability to customize just about everything on these devices with Android won me over.

The nexus display just isn't that good. It has a lot of color issues, for example anandtech did point those out in their review. The GN is a great phone, but in no way perfect.

Are you freaking serious? So everything Samsung lets out of the factory is OK and everybody should be happy with the product they ship? Apple people and their fanboyism is starting to seem almost healthy compared to this. The phone costs a premium (at least in here) and I'd like to see premium production quality for my money. Unfortunately that is not the case. Samsung did address the issues in the GIII, but that doesn't fix it for the GN
"The problems that I talked about in the Galaxy Nexus display are basically completely absent in the SGS3. There’s no longer any mura (luminance variance which looks like noise) or a weird purple cast in the greys, two things that are still present on the Galaxy Nexus." (Source)

Well cmon dude people are complaining about screen issues on refurb phones. The fact is, is that the nature of this amoled screen is that it loses its ability to display color over time. In some areas its more prominent because of the nav bar and keyboard being dark/black. Over time though this effect should even out across the screen. So, to the people *****ing about wanting a brand new one, guess what?? You're brand new one will look just like that refurb one!

Processor is almost equal although the exynos is a much better processor. The battery is great if you know how to manage things and are smart about things me personally get around 15 hours overall 5 hours being screen on time. Over wifi on Sprint 3G which is pathetic I get around 2-3 hours of display time. There is a giant difference between the plus and pentile especially depending on the phone you may get one with purple tint however rooting and using a custom kernel and calibrating the colors and contrast will help alleviate that. Overall it's the better phone. Just got jelly bean and it's not even been pushed as an OTA.

true, but hopefully this will speed process up a bit if a lot of people voice their opinion... i mean you can do nothing and just wait or you can say something and then go back to waiting... so I'd rather say something, and if a lot of people start talking they'd start moving too.

Lol. I like calling customer service at lunch to ask "is it done yet" and to call back the next day to ask "how about now?" because it costs them a little money. Yes, I really have nothing better to do at lunch while eating leftovers from last night at my desk.
Hey, at least I'm not filing BBB complaints against Motorola. :banghead:

haha)) it's better to do it on social media, this way you get much better visibility and others sees that as well and hopefully verizon will feel somewhat ashamed and actually do something about it!
I used to have Verizon and now have sprint and struggling with school and full time job I sometimes forget to pay my bill. Verizon financial service cuts my service then makes me pay the re activation fee but with sprint I can call and tell them I can pay next week and they simply say okay.
But no 4g lte sucks but they do update the gnex rather quick.
Its a give or take with your service provider. I don't think there's that perfect provider right now.

I already have 4.2.1 with my vzw nexus. I don't care about them releasing any thing.

Personally custom roms are better but its the principle that makes people go crazy for an update.
Also considering the vzw gnex have antenna issues, some people may actually need the update for the new radios

Ya it would be nice If that's all they would release. But it is what it is. Not a big deal. At least for me.

I just came from the droid charge and I wanted to always have the cool new updates but looks like I got bent over again.

Not really because there is always roms that have the lates update so compared to the charge that is still stuck on 2.3 dont really have to worry about that here.

the beauty about #nexus is that ROM doesn't have any customization which in a lot cases causing instability for every day use, so I'd rather use stock ROM, but back to my HTC Thunderbolt days, I couldn't stand stock so I went w/ CM7 and I _LOVED_ it!
