I'm sorry but gs2 for gnex? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey guys I know I've opened another one of these before but with a one s so I would like to apologize but I have a s2 and am thinking of getting a gnex.
I have read multiple online reviews and comparisoms but with mix results. Is the gnex worth trading? It is a straight trade.

Would be an upgrade for you.... Hd screen although you lose the 8mpx camera. Also.... This thread has been made so many times it's not funny. So there may be some trolls.

I just basically want to know how is the battery, camera, processor and screen display e.g how much I would notice a difference in super amoled plus and super amoled.
These are things which aren't covered I'm reviews.

Processor is almost equal although the exynos is a much better processor. The battery is great if you know how to manage things and are smart about things me personally get around 15 hours overall 5 hours being screen on time. Over wifi on Sprint 3G which is pathetic I get around 2-3 hours of display time. There is a giant difference between the plus and pentile especially depending on the phone you may get one with purple tint however rooting and using a custom kernel and calibrating the colors and contrast will help alleviate that. Overall it's the better phone. Just got jelly bean and it's not even been pushed as an OTA.

Surprisingly enough, I am getting 10 hours of battery life on LTE.
This is regular use, streaming music, checking facebook, pictures, and sms...
It's still better than what I used to get on my Incredible.
Oh dear. Am i the only one who uses the phone on manual brightness on the lowest it goes? I think the screen looks great even at low brightness. I rarely go above 30/40% as there is no need other than to drain battery.

Its amazing.
Fast, good support (look for yourself in android development ), good amount of accessories.
The battery is not the greatest, so that may be a problem for you. I get about 3 hours of screen on time with all 3g. So if that's enough for you, you should be fine
I personally didn't get the s3 because it was not pentaband and I'm on wind so I could only get the dual core version, so I decided to keep this until the new nexus comes out.

Project Roadrunner? 4.2

Has anybody heard of this? I did a quick lazy glance here and didn't see it posted so I thought I would. Looks pretty amazing with new features and improving Gnow and improved battery life for Android users. Of course the main concern is in order for us to experience we might have to switch phones or of course wait on our devs to do their amazing work. Thoughts??

Your point? We all have to move on at some point. By the time this phone gets 4.2 we'll have some really amazing devices on the market that will make this phone seem like it was from the stone age. Just like this phone makes that HD2 seem like its from the stone age. Idk how people are still using that thing. That snapdragon CPU was a boat compared to other SoCs like hummingbird during its time.

I was thinking.. I'm sure that the galaxy Nexus is a shoe in to get 4.2 and if it can handle the software I am sure that this phone can too!.. It's unlike that tmobile will put in the resources to update this phone after JB but it might be a slim possibility.. Especially since we will have the option whether or not to have OEM skins

Officially I don't think this phone is getting past ICS. I have high doubts about an official TW JB update for it. Only the international GSII has been officially confirmed. As we all know that phone and every other GSII has the exynos SoC so I wouldn't doubt the others can get it easily. But since we have the s3.. idk.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
And I just wanna state that it's obvious that Google is listening to what people want and trying to add it to software updates! We have all been talking about how nice it would be if we had a choice of AOSP or OEM.. And voila! Google goes ahead and appears to be implementing it!.. This is totally opposite of other mobile operating systems (not naming names) that always hold back the features... This is why I will probably stay loyal to android for a long time!

I think it is the color shift. I noticed the same thing when I first got the Nexus. Since I moved to a new ROM plus kernel I don't have the strain anymore. I could be wrong and maybe I just got used to it but it seemed as soon as I flashed I was much happier.

It is only for Sprint though so if you have GSM or Verizon you will have to try something else.

I've never been a big fan of this phone. It started in the first 15 minutes and the overall look of Touchwiz. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the fact that my 1st smart phone was a Nexus One and my affinity for Native android as a result. Anyway.
I just bought a Nexus four and love it. I plan to return it w/i the 14 buyer remorse T-Mobile has. IAfter that I'll either order another N4 or wait for the next Nexus phone. I love the simplicity and ease of use of them. It was so easy to root the N1.
So it's either the next Nexus phone or the Motorola X phone. $$ is important to me, so probably the Nexus.

Expandable storage would be nice but will never happen. Don't care much for lte as I'm on Wi-Fi 99% of the time. The only thing I want to see is a better camera...and maybe made of something other than glass as I've heard it can be quite fragile.

Hold out a little longer and the Note3 will be out. It should be awesome! I have my eyes on that one to.

Note 3 or....Gasp...iPhone 6.... If Apple adds things such as haptic feedback and a larger display, I'd consider it. I personally like the newer flat UI from iOS, plus I like the social integration part of the software. Android has it's benefits, don't get me wrong, but honestly, I think iOS visually looks better...I don't know if I can live without widgets though
PS, I know I'm going to get flamed for that, but I'm not a fanboy of either...Looking at functionality and design..Nothing wrong with that

I had an apple 4 as my first smartphone. Yes they run nice....but I love to customize, so iPhone would never be a consideration for me....even if they make apps to clean my house and do my laundry! LOL.
