Micro sim adapter - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone had any luck with these? I just got one from www.microsim-shop.com and when I put the adapter in to test fit it got stuck. Managed to get it out but I think I bent some of the sim card pins on the Play. Hopefully AT&T or Sony will replace it. Only had it for a week or so.

Cheap Mini to Micro USB adapter

So I had a TP2 before this, which used USB Mini. So, I have all these accessories from that still, and adapters would be great.
But, radioshack and all those places want as much for the damn adapter as they do for a new charger...
Is there a place to get like 5 adapters for cheap? China style maybe? lol

Smith
Get it from eBay

I have one, it barely fits the Captivate. I had to shave off a little off the back of the adapter so it can be inserted more into the phone. Without doing so, the plug would just come off. Now it fits perfectly.
I just bought a single one of those over the weekend for $2.50 shipped, glad to hear they work albeit with a little modification.

[Q] Bent pin in sim tray

So my xperia play 4g has bent sim card pins. They arent missing...just bent. I was wondering if i could unbend them or if there is a way to replace it without replacing the entire mother board, or even if i do have to replace the entire motherboard....where can i get one? I bent them because of those stupid micro sim adapters...never again!
I had that happen the first time I got my play. I ended up getting it replaced. Did you happen it put the adapter in the phone with no sim card in it? I've been using an adapter now for a while with no issues since the first usage other than having to use a paperclip to remove the adapter cause it is slightly thicker than a normal sim card and sticks.
exactly..i was dumb enough to put the sim adapter in the slot without a sim card in it....when i tried to pull it out it came out...but i wasnt able to put my normal sim in. i can see it with a flashlight...its bent. i need to find a way to remedy this.
Goodluck man like I said I ended up getting a replacement phone.
SIM Issue
I have inserted working Sim Card (not AT&T) and when I restart my phone it still shows me "emergency mode" no Sim. I was trying to unlock my phone.
I have cut my old regular SIM card to Micro and use the same adapter which came with the Sony Ion LT28at. OR I don't have to use that adapter.
I am stuck now because I purchased this phone from ebay (no return).
Is it a Sim card try problem or other? ?
Please help..

Compact/Keyring MicroUSB cable solution

Hi,
I'm after a portable (keyring) MicroUSB cable. Preferably it would also be a MicroSD reader.
I only want to spend upto $6 on it.
I purchased this one but after paying for it, and a month, they now say it's out of stock.
I'm considering this one but it doesn't have a MicroSD reader. I'd be reading a 64GB card- so would it work anyone?
This one has a MicroUSB reader, but it says it only charges at 500mA- so would that mean sllooow charging?
Does anyone have a good one they use? I'm concerned that the MicroUSB cable might not charge it quickly (i've used a cheaper one before- took 9 hours to charger my Galaxy S3).
Has anyone got this one? It would be handy as I'm often using an iPhone....

Does it charge only with the Apple 30pin, or also with the MicroUSB?

International Charger?

I'll be traveling over seas this summer ( to Italy ) and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a charger that would work over there, or should I simply be better off buying a converter for my standard charger?
Also, would anyone be able to recommend a sim card ejector? I'm planning on unlocking my Sim Card to use one over there.
I just came from back Spain and I used my stock charger with an adapter. No problems at all.
Our chargers support up to 240 volts... in Italy they use 220 volts. All you need is a wall adapter
Tip: don't buy a cheap-o adapter. They suck. I got mine at "El Corte Ingles" which is a large shopping center retail chain. They might have one in Italy but you can get an adapter anywhere.
Watch for pickpockets if you're going to Rome.
Thanks! I'll snag a few converters on Amazon or eBay then.
Yeah, I heard Rome was getting pretty bad, already got a cheapo decoy wallet just in case.

It depends on if its really noticeable, repair sim card reader requires replacing the whole board. Although you can buy sim card readers and you can try soldering them on yourself 9/10 it doesnt work
If you can make them believe that your sim card one day stopped reading they might repair it for you
I suggest taking it in to your carrier to get it repaired

If Warranty doesn't cover repair. This Service is reasonable....http://www.mobiledeviceworkshop.co.uk/lg-g3-d855-sim-card-reader-repair-service-2498-p.asp
