Hi,
I'm after a portable (keyring) MicroUSB cable. Preferably it would also be a MicroSD reader.
I only want to spend upto $6 on it.
I purchased this one but after paying for it, and a month, they now say it's out of stock.
I'm considering this one but it doesn't have a MicroSD reader. I'd be reading a 64GB card- so would it work anyone?
This one has a MicroUSB reader, but it says it only charges at 500mA- so would that mean sllooow charging?
Does anyone have a good one they use? I'm concerned that the MicroUSB cable might not charge it quickly (i've used a cheaper one before- took 9 hours to charger my Galaxy S3).
Has anyone got this one? It would be handy as I'm often using an iPhone....

Does it charge only with the Apple 30pin, or also with the MicroUSB?

anyone recommend one of these?
also need a couple protective cases, what's good?
the one listed for the Aria should be fine. you just need one with a micro USB connector. I have a power outlet to USB port adaptor in my car, and just use a normal USB cable for charging. saves me the hassle of buying a new charger each time i get a new phone.
i haven't felt the need for a case yet, so no recomendations from me there.
I can't find it on the website, but Walmart has a DC car charger with just two female USB ports, which is awesome, would actually let you charge two USB devices at the same time using the original charge cable. (Also, since HTC is awesome enough to use normal mini-USB ports, a replacement cable is like $10, not $29 as with iPhone). Anyone have one of these that can confirm it works with the Aria?
Like others said, you don't need a car charger specifically for the Aria. Just look for the cheapest micro (not mini) usb charger you can find. I picked one up from my local Fry's for $4.
I have two Honda CRV's and both come equipped with USB port.
Does that mean that any 'ol generic miniport connector will work as "a charger" ?
If anyone comes up with a suggestion for "cradling" inside car, please post
Thanks for the replies.
does this page list the device that is recommended ? the 3.99 item?
maybe these
or also on dealextreme.com
i just bought one off of amazon for a penny.

Any microUSB cable should work, that is the beauty of companies that stuck with connector standards.
a great place for cables is monoprice.com. really cheap price for great quality stuff. I grabbed 4 microUSB cables, an HDMI, and some component cables from there for less than $10.
fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/1018723/
Good deal. Not cheaper than monoprice for the cables, but with the free shipping this really becomes worth it. Ordered 2 cables for when I finally have an Epic 4G, thanks a ton.
yeah, but two questions - 1) is it a charger cable only (some are, believe they're 5 pin - a lot of the motorola cables are charger only. Other cables are described as charger / data cables and believe they're 14 pin
there was someone on one of the forums that couldn't his computer to recognize his phone, was using a motorola cable
2) is what we've got a micro usb? - i;ve got micro usb cables from other phones, and the micro male end isn't as slim as this one - and they don't plug into the phone - help on that question appreciated
1) I'll let you know when they arrive, but I'm not worried.
2) Yes, Vibrant uses MicroUSB. Their stock picture is probably wrong (look like a MiniUSB, which is probably what you have).
I have this mini to micro adapter that I bought forever ago for the wife's blackberry. I just tried it and it works just fine on the Vibrant. Yes it charges and it allows for data transfer just fine.
Now mine says SKN6252A

There are others on that website that do not have the A on the them. This is a 5 pin cable on both sides just for reference. I think I might by myself a hand full of them since I seem to have 1234123412341 USB mini cables laying around every where.
Just ordered 2 just for the heck of it. Well because my wife told me I couldn't use her's because I would loose it. However that means now that I can still use my travel charger that is a USB mini and I can just easily convert it to micro.
I have a ton of mini usb cables / chargers. Instead of buying new ones I just bought some adapters on Ebay for .99 including shipping.
Got mine yesterday. Used it to charge the phone overnight. No issues. Hooked it up to the comp and was able to view all the files on my phone with no problem. Glad I got in on this before they raised the price.
I've found a micro USB charging cable on ebay, where the ad says it is for the P1000(7"), and wonder if for any reason it should not work as well with the P7510(10.1") as with the P1000. (search for "P1000 micro USB")
I'm only planning to use it for charging with the micro USB charger that caem with my SGS.
Anyone whit experience or thoughts on this cable adapter?

i ordered my 3rd party cables from dealextreme.com.
just search for samsung galaxy tab.
they work for me.
Anybody else tried these cables yet?
don't just charge with anything. If you want to get a charger, get a charger. This device doesn't use a MicroUSB anything. You need at least 1amp to push anything to the device and it won't fully charge with that. You need a 5w/2a charger to accomplish a 100% charge. My iPhone USB charger will charge it. Only to 66%. It's 1a. I'm guessing your charger is too. Look on amazon. I got a charger with cable for 20 bucks. Works flawlessly. It's in bulk packaging.

I live in noway, so the U.S plug that came with the Tab is useless for me. my current solution: a 3 ft cord making the total length of my charger almost 8 ft, and i really want something that is easier to carry around. Thanks for clearing that up anyways.
anyone know where to get a decent Car Charger for the cappy?
preferably, one that isnt 40 bucks, like the one ATT wants you to get..ive ordered several off Amazon, but they are all junk, and work for about 5 minutes, then never work again. and it seems, as much on-the-go as i am nowadays, itd come in handy,
I scored one off the bay for like 10 bucks shipped. It's an OEM ATT with an extra USB port. Working great after a few months of use.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Instead of getting a car charger for our Cappy, I always want this so that I can use it in the future despite of changing phone model.
http://store.griffintechnology.com/powerjolt-dual-universal-micro
PS. Amazon sells it cheaper
I'd also recommend getting a something that has a USB connection and use that instead of something just for the device.
However, before I really thought about it I did by one. It works fine & has worked fine for a number of months now. Its around 5 bucks on amazon. Look for "Motorola Vehicle Power Adapter micro-USB Rapid Rate Charger".
+1 on the USB style. Very versatile, you can charge a lot more than just your phone (GPS, whatever).
You should be aware that in order for the Samsung Captivate (or Samsung Tablet) to charge at the fastest rate (Charging AC) the "data pins" need to be "shorted". This could be done in the USB port or in the cable. It is not enough to just have enough mA. I do recommend getting something with 2100mA. This way you may charge anything. We do sell a 2100mA USB Car Charger ($7.99 plus shipping) but it doesn't have the data pins shorted.
There is one factory overseas getting ready to release a 2100mA USB Car Charger with 2 USB ports, one setup for Apple & one setup for Samsung. They are also working on a AC adapter - dual USB 2100mA.

I used a micro-USB charger.
and chargers which are sold on Ebay for $ 2, it's not a good idea.
Because I used 2 of these chargers and they are burned.
Now I bought a little longer with the cable Micro USB, and it works better.
Hey all.
I need a good quality charing/sync cable for my Note 10.1 2012, have looked around for some hours now and can only find dirt cheap chinese made cables.
I want qualty and i want to charge it as fast as possible, around 6ft or 2m is good, not shorter but can be longer. Is this possible. im willing to forfeit sync for charging if needed to.
Have you guys fond anything worth buying?
the anker 6ft / 1.8m Nylon Braided Micro USB Cable looks sweet, but only for micro usb. (i cant post links yet)
I use these adaptors - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009ZQKMDA - and then you can use whatever micro-USB cable you want. Charges fast enough for me.
Aah thanks, ill will try one of those. they give you full charge speed?
Im still interested in a good charging cable if anyone should find one.
Yes, speed of charging is as close as I can tell to the original Samsung cable.

Better use micro USB cable combine with micro USB to Samsung 30 pin adapter.
I'm using micro USB cable from my Note 4 & it took ~5 hrs to charge from 0% to 100%
EDIT: avoid long cable. The longer the cable the more resistance it creates therefore longer charging time.
A little update, i think i found a realy good cheap cable.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/331036667675?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
It says www.sparTechnik.de on the cable. but made in china.
The cable itself is about 4mm thick and is very flexible. build quality seems very good, no slack in the connector.
It charges while note is beeing used at full brightness and bluetooth-wifi-gps on. also supports sync and data transfer, i have tested.
bought another 3 of it and now starts the durability test. ill report inn if/when it breaks (if i remember) o)
Just incase anyone is looking for a quick emergency purchase. They do carry some at Best Buy. (at least some stores have them in stock.). I had to get one after my original cable lost a battle with our Vacuum cleaner. But I can say this one has a good quality feel to it and I haven't had any issues with it. It charges and sinks no prob.
If it was a little longer I would have bought 2 of them. Of course now they go on sale.... Story of my life. :silly:
I can't do links yet so just search on their website for it. It was only $14.99
