Hello,
I just bought Arc S, and I seem to have a problem, it came without memory card, and when I press to take pictures nothing happens? Is the phone incapable of taking pictures without microSD card or is it just faulty ?
P.S. I took out 1GB microSD card from my fathers old phone and phone doesnt recognize card is in it ?
Thank you for any help you could provide me !
Without SD you can't take pics on any Android phone without a build in SD/memory like on SII
Try another SD to see if it happens then, too

So i have 2 micro sd cards one 8GB and one 32GB. I had recently just bought the 32GB one to give myself a good amount of space but unfortunately they both just stopped working all together. Basically one day my GS3 just began rejecting my 32GB card so i attempted to format it on my computer with a usb adapter, i tried both windows and mac os trying a range of programs but it just won't format. I even tried to format it using CWM but it can't mount it. but i don't think its fried because i just got it and it was working fine for like 2 - 3 weeks...so then i put my 8GB card in for 2 days and same thing...can't format or erase or mount on android...i've searched all over the web and need help cuz at this point i feel like my phone is destroying SD cards.
And one last piece on info if it helps I'm running the task AOKP 4.1.1 rom with their latest release and their latest O/C Kernel and clockwork mod touch on an AT&T Galaxy s3
please help as soon as possible

Thanks
Sometimes the manufacters advice to use just the recommended brands. I had a similar problem with a Nokia Xpress Music, and just changed the memoru for a Sony branded and it was perfectly working
Hi All,
I got my Xperia ZL some 3 weeks ago, and since I'm still within my return period, I wanted to see if anyone else is having problems with frequent µSD card disconnects - to get a feeling for whether this is a firmware issue (correctable via upgrade) or I have a dud.
I have been fairly unsuccessful in getting my music synchronized with iTunes on my Mac. Although part of the problem is the horrors of the Sony Media Bridge application, the real issue is that my memory card keeps disconnecting while files are written to it! It reconnects a second later, but then Android keeps "Checking for errors" for some time before it becomes available again. Meanwhile, the synchronization stops.
I've also tried TuneSync from the Android store, with similar results. This application lets you synchronize in two ways: via Wi-Fi or by mounting the memory card to your computer (either using Mass Storage mode on the phone, or by physically removing it and using a memory card reader). WiFi sync always fails for the reason above, as does syncing in Mass Storage mode. If syncing via a memory card reader, the sync completes, but then there are all kinds of issues when reinserting the card into my phone, while TuneSync is processing the wired sync data.
My card is a SANDisk 64GB class 10, but I've also tried a SANDisk 32GB class 6 card with similar results.
Let me know if you have seen anything smilar - and better yet - if you have managed to get around it somehow.
Failing that, I'll probably return this phone in favor of a HTC One... (I prefer the ZL, but not if it's not working!)
Have the same problem. Read somewhere that there are problem with SanDisk ultra cards.

I've used the same card in my Nokia 808 PureView (Symbian) for nearly a year without any such issues... So there is obviously something specific to the Xperia and/or Android that does not jive with these cards.
Also, my other card (the 32GB class 6 one), although SANDisk, is not "SANDisk Ultra".
Good pointer though! I'll try to dig up some cards from other brands to have a go!
Thank you! :good:

This is interesting. I've now seen 2 dead Patriot memory cards in my husband's ZL ... switched to a Kingston card in that phone now & will see if the problem continues. I'm currently using a Samsung 32gb card in my own ZL and haven't had any problems (I've had the phone for a few weeks).
No issues here
I've been using my sandisk 64 gb microSD (Class 10) on my ZL without any issues for over a month. Before, I had used it on my note2 for 5 months with no issues. Its strange many people are having issues with sandisk cards. But, I can tell u that its not an issue specific to Z/ZL, it's rampant across the recent Samsung phones too (note2/GS3)! I guess it must be a bad batch of cards by sandisk or something. Btw, I'm on rooted stock rom with locked BL & only formatted my sdcard once using phone (ZL) before using it. I also have a 32gb sandisk (class10) & 16gb sandisk (class 4) microSD cards working just fine on my other devices.

This is not problem with the phone, The SD card itself have got a problem with major smart phones. better keep your ZL
I just bought an HTC one V.
As soon as I put my SD card, it says Unexpected sd card unmount.
My card is not dying or anything like that. It was working fine in my Samsung captivate glide, works perfect in my notebook and PC.
Card is a Kingston microSDhc class 4 16GB.
What can I do to fix this problem?
Already tried hard resseting my phone and no luck.
I experienced the same issue , faulty card. It was keeping unmont few times a day
Replaced SDHC works fine.
Hi people I have a little problem, I had buyed a Micro Sd 32gb Class 10 Ultra for mi Tab 3 7.0, the tablet show the 32gb, but the problem is when I tried to create folders or copy thing to the sd from the same Tablet, example: copy music from Sdcard0 to extSDcard and say "error could not be writte to"
I probed the Micro sd in a THL W5 and in LG Optimus L5 2 and works Fine, in my pc also works fine, the problem is with the tablet
(I have formated the Sd a lots of time but the problem persist)
anyone know what is the problem? This tablet support ultra micro sd?
SD cards have been annoying the crap out of me for the past week. Between discrepancies between how my PC reads em and how Android (or at least the T211) reads em, difficulty xferring files via USB, etcetera....personally I found out the bulk of my problems had to do with: an Amazon marketplace seller sold me a counterfeit SanDisk card, and before I realized the card was counterfeit (and more generally how prevalent counterfeit cards are), I purchased a Samsung 64GB card off of Ebay, turned out to be fake as well. The SanDisk fake was convincing, the Samsung as well although all the white text on the SD Card wore off within days.
Anyways I bought a legit SD card yesterday, and encountered similar problems to what you are having. IMO, save your files, and re-format the SD card using the tablet and not your PC, if you haven't done so. If you have done so, don't know what to tell you.
