You can't use the kb to touch the yes button?
Do you use GMail/Google sync? I'm guessing no. Might not be worth setting up now.
I would do my best to get an app like PIMBackup installed.
If you had used Google to sync your contacts, you could just sync your new phone with Google and voila... I know, little late.
Have you seen MyMobiler? You can control the phone with an ActiveSync connection.

If you sync your contacts using outlook they should just go over to the new phone when you plug it in. As for touching the yes button im afraid your a bit out of luck with that as the only way to do it is to install pocket controller. Saying that though, It has been a while since i actually installed it,but i am sure the latest version auto installs so you wont need to press any keys on the phone. That will allow you to control the phone from your pc. The easiest way to transfer the contacts though is to simply sync them to outlook.
So i dont understand why you cant do it?

ActiveSync? Sync contacts to pc,and then sync them to new phone when you get it.

Check the Club Nokia web site. I used to have a Nokia phone, and they have a software suite that will allow you to export contacts from Outlook to most of their phones.
http://www.nokiausa.com/A4986252
You can Sync your contacts to your PC, then use the Nokia Suite to copy them from Outlook to your Nokia.
Note that if you don't have access to a Nokia data cable, in many cases you can sync with Infra-Red. I had an old Nokia 6610 and used IR from my laptop to keep my contacts up-to-date.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
just install this, plug into activesync and you can view your phone from your desktop...therefore you can just copy everything to the sim and you should be all set.

Screen broken but need text messages!

I currently have a T-mobile dash and unfortunately the screen got cracked earlier today. The problem I am faced with is I am receiving text messages which I need to order to coordinate my graduate research at college but I am, obviously, unable to read them from the phone. Is there any application that I can download that will allow me to at least view the messages on my computer? I have been looking around for one but it seems many require you to download an application on the phone and seeing as I can make heads or tails of anything on the screen that's rather impossible at the moment. Any help is appreciated!
True connect:
True Connect is an exciting new way to control your Windows Mobile device when its plugged in! Simply drag your mouse off the side of your monitor, and it appears on your phone. Now you can click on the menus, controls and applications in an intuitive, natural way. It even works for non-touch screen devices! Of course, you can also use the PC keyboard to type, copy and paste information.
Can't see your device screen without holding it up? No problem - just use On-Screen Connect to show your device screen on your PC. It slides in when you need it, tucking neatly out of the way when you don't.
New to version 3.0 is SMS Text Messages in Microsoft Outlook. Read, send, forward and manage your text messages just like your email.
Download True Connect, and try it free for 14 days. You'll see for yourself how easy it can be to do your phone calls, text messages, applications and just about everything else on your mobile.
I personally used this to retrieve texts for a friend of mine who also broke his screen.. worked perfectly.
I couldn't figure out how to do anything other than navigate using true connect. Wait... realized you have to have outlook installed.
it seems like it's a pay version of My Mobile
The coolest version i think is mDesktop it even has an Excalibur on the site as the phone they use! You can view and copy the texts. it even has a "copy chat" with the options "plain text" and "formatted HTML"
the only other thing i think i would want to be able to do is use my computer headphones and mic to talk on the phone.

I'm not the OP but i had the same problem and a lot of ones i tried required being able to see the screen to install the cab/execute the program. this worked perfect for me since my screen was completely broken. Thanks for the link!

Dash screen black and need contacts

Hi all,
I have a problem that I hope you can help with. I have a TMobile Dash that isn't working. Well, everything works just fine except the screen...lol. The screen is totally black and I can't see what I'm doing. TMobile has sent me a replacement phone, as mine was still under warranty. In fact, since this is the second Dash I've had a similar problem with, they allowed me to upgrade to the Dash 3G!!
Here's my problem...My contacts were NOT saved to my SIM card and I can't see what I'm doing, on the phone. So, I've hooked the phone to my laptop, via USB, and am attempting to find my contacts, so I can at least see them, to type them into the new phone. Any suggestions where to look? ORRRR Anyway to give me button by button instructions for moving my contacts to my SIM card? LOL. I've also attempted to use Windows Mobile Device Center, but it won't let me chance Sync Content Settings because I don't have Outlook. The only Content Settings it will Sync are files, but not contacts.
Basically, I need my contacts in the new phone. I can't see the screen of the old phone. I can hook either phone to laptop though. I have Vista, so Active Sync isn't an option. I've heard that there's software, available on this forum, that will allow me to hook my phone to computer, and use computer monitor as phone screen.
Any and all suggestions would be well appreciated!!
My Mobiler
Will not sync but will allow you to see the screen and copy the contents, will still need to make a connection via active sync etc.
Stylez, thank you very much!! Worked just great!!

I think you can take it to a T Mobile store and they'll just do everything for you.
I'm a do it yourselfer too whenever possible, but if someone will just plug it in and take care of it for you in 5 minutes that might be the simplest option here.
Unfortunately you're out of luck. Your phone won't display the contents of the internal SD card unless you unlock the phone which requires a working screen. If recovered info off someone's phone with a broken screen by connecting a working screen to it temporarily to unlock it.
This requires taking your phone apart but is very easy if you're comfortable.

You might be able to use Heimdall on a Mac or Linux machine to pull the data. Im not entirely sure how or what you would do with it once you pulled it. But that might give you a start for your research

Contacts recovery possible?

Hi, been asked if I can recover the contacts from a friends Galaxy a3 (a300fu) but the screen and touch panel are damaged.
The display is black and you can hear the phone detecting phantom screen presses.
My windows laptop detects it as a media player so I suspect it is "alive"
I have tried some software but it needs USB debugging enabled and as I cant see/touch I cant get into the menu to enable developer mode.
His contacts are stored on the phone and he doesn't use google back up.
Is there any way I can recover his contacts?
Thanks..

If your friend has a galaxy account contacts should be restored upon setting up a new phone. So, if the new phone is a galaxy, then contacts can be restored after signing into Galaxy account. Apart from that, I'm really not sure.
Is there any chance contacts are saved to SIM? You could swap the SIM into another phone, then export them somehow

Try google contacts. I hadn't backed my contacts and I installed google contacts and all contacts from my wrecked phone appeared.
