Hi all, I run Vista x64 Ultimate and connect my devices with Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) I recently dug my O2 Xda Exec out but its stuck at the boot screen, i.e. says serial at the top then v1.00 at the bottom, if I connect the USB cable the word 'Serial' changes to USB
I have unchecked the 'Allow USB Connections' in WMDC and the PC does it's USB Bing Bong sound as you plug in the xda to the USB, unfortunately when using Mtty I get no USB option, consequently I can't input the commands and continue with the install. I have also tried using the Uni_exitbootloader.exe, again this states there is no USB option. I was trying to get either the Ranju v77 rom or the original xda exec rom installed.
I have checked the USB ports using other devices and all function ok, so what's going wrong?
Going to try from another machine today, its running XP pro so I should have more luck!
**SOLVED**
Problem solved.
Advice: Don't use Vista x64 to update these PDA's
The solution was to go to my XP system and upgrade from there, installed original Xda_Exec_Upgrade_v1.30.162.exe then once that was ok I tried out Ranju_v77_WM61_19900_19900_1_0_2.exe.
my issue now is wireless encryption, apparently I only have up to WEP and I use WPA, will do a search but if anyone knows how to deal with this can you post.

i buy this model with killed software.when i press power on , only toshiba logo appear and version of pbl,sbl and ipl . when i go into boot mode and connect on usb , windows ask for data interface driver . where to find this driver.....HELP
Installation Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5
data interface problem
I am using Vista and I tried to update my g810 using this ROM 21234. It was all going well but after about a minute my computer went to look for three 'data interface drivers' which it could not find on my PC or windows driver database. Now my G810 will not boot, nor can I do hard reset, i think my only hope is to boot from SD card but need help on how to do that. There is nothing on phone screen but when USB cable is pluged into PC it makes a connection sound yet it does not see device and mobile centre does not see it. Also tried on XP and same issue including Active sysnc does not see phone.
UPDATE: I should also add that I have now tried booting from SD card No Luck. Battery is full but can't get anything onscreen except panel at end flashes blue when power button is held down.
Any advice?
Hi, I got this HP Compaq 3950 Pocket PC for free because something is wrong with it ! The previous owner said the OS was in french, he tried to put english ROM in it and something gone wrong, now the PPC only shows the boot screen with "Serial" on top and thats it, nothing else.
I am trying to write the latest HP english rom available for the 3950 using this method here http://www.kidsmoneylife.com/2009/09/how-to-change-language-on-ipaq-h3900-series/ but after i put the command in the MTTY after a while it says that cannot establish connection with host or something like that. I am not sure what that means, the device shows USB on top of the screen and Serial if I disconnect the cable from the USB.
I haven't tried with serial connection yet, I don't have a serial port on my laptop.
Any ideeas or guides I should follow ? Didn't found out much on Google !
Thanks

Have you Windows 7?
i have windows xp and a windows 7 pc
the phone was running wm 2003
in case you tried upgrading from windows 7 you should follow d-two's tutorial here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5456317&postcount=6
i have followed the guide and got nothing
its still in bootloader v2.08 i just hope its not a faulty phone
please post more detail, it is hard to guess, what actually caused it, when you just say, you are stuck in bootloader mode. what driver version shows up in device manager, does the BA's display change from serial to usb, when you connect it to the pc, what error do you get from the RUU, please post the RUU.log in C:\
which rom did you try to flash?
did you use d-two's new RUU?
can you connect using mtty?
the screen changes from serial to usb it has v2.08 at the bottom of the screen
the RUU dosnt register the device cannot conect using mtty
i havent tried to upgrade the device ive tried to leave the device with a battery to see if it will reset to default
but it just loads into the boot screen
