Derivated from his sig I am pretty sure he uses Runnymede.
I recently installed Runnymede's AIO 6.0.4.1 and on install of facebook's app, I keep getting the process com.facebook.katana has unexpectedly stopped force close. I searched and tried the solutions such as clearing cache and data, however since I recently installed it, there is 0 kB within cache and data. I've also reinstalled it several times all of which came back with the same error.
Anyone know how to fix this?
u could try fixing permissions in recovery if u have that option
Did you try if wiping dalvik-cache + cache in recovery solves it? If not, do it.

Yeah, those were the first things I did. I think I will need to reflash the ROM and hope that will work.
It might be because of ext partitions on SD... Do you have any ?

I do, as I followed the partition instructions when installing the ROM.
So what's you're ext partition size ?
Edit : i think you should try clearing market and facebook caches.

I cleared market's as well with the same problem. I cleared the cache through recovery as I can't select it in the applications menu for facebook. (It says 0 kB as I installed it but could never get it opened).
solutions???
-Go in Settings / applications / Manage applications , choose 'all ' tab Then clear all data and cache of both Google play store and google services Framework
-Reboot into recovery and wipe cache and wipe Dalvik - Cache . ( no need to factory reset )

Hm, usually that solves the problem. Did you explicitly follow the instructions?
- setting / applications / manage applications
- select "all"
- tap "Google Play Store"
- clear cache
- clear data
- back to list
- tap "Google Services Framework"
- clear cache
- clear data
- boot into CWM
- wipe cache
- wipe dalvik-cache
- reboot
if you did all the steps in this order, I'd suggest to give it another shot - just to make sure
definitly did the right steps

Im on ROOTED Samsung Galaxy S2 (I9100) Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread (no custom roms)
and had same problem: Google Play Store error 492 every time I download.
Everything else works fine.
Did the same standard steps as given above and elsewhere:
1) formatted and/or remove SD card as it was corrupted
2) TB backup, factory reset, TB restore
3) clear data/cache Google Play Store,Google Service Framework
4) even reverted to older version of Play Store
5) boot into recovery (btw press VolDn-Home-Pwr buttons for SGS2 NOT just VOLdn-Pwr)
clear system/dalvik cache
Nothing worked. Still got error 492 for every Play Store download.
My solution: Go to 'Download Manager' app in Settings and hit 'uninstall updates' button.
Problem went away.
I suspect that if I had just fixed(formatted or removed) my corrupted SD card and done 'uninstall updates'
for Download Manager (and possibly Play Store) that would have fixed the problem.
btw, .android_secure dir exists on both internal and external SD cards with no problems.

I have an SG3, and I started receiving the Error 492, and also nearly all apps are getting an error message "unfortunately (insert name of app) has stopped) too. I haven't done anything to the phone recently, this happened overnight. I have tried clearing the caches in the app settings menu, but the last step requires CWM which is no longer compatible with the SG3 since the 4.2 android update.
(After the 4.2 updated screwed up my root I had previously tried using CWM once I fix root access and ended up soft bricking my phone each time and I'd have to re-load the Android Software from the beginning to get my phone working again, and re-root it...again.)
So, any solutions that don't require CWM?
Hi,
after wiping cache and Dalvik cache, *every time I reboot my phone* I keep getting the "Upgrade android: launching applications" error message...
How can I fix this?
Tx a lot.
If you do a normal reboot (ie/ without wiping dalvik and cache) do you still get this?.....I'm guessing probably not.
When you wipe dalvik and cache, you are clearing ALL the data for your installed apps.....the "upgrading android" message you are seeing is an indication that the apps are being re-updated and is a perfectly normal occurrence under these circumstances......not an error......
Please hit thanks if this helped

Unfortunately, as I wrote above, this happens EVERY TIME I reboot my phone, meaning normal reboot (not going into recovery mode and deleting anything, I just did that once!)....
Then some of your apps are not compatible with your rom or you just flashed a wrong .zip or something. I believe just wiping data and reflashing will fix this.

I did not install anything - neither new apps, nor .zip - after wiping cache+dalvik.
I tried wiping cache+dalvik another time, then rebooting normally, but I still get this message every (normal) reboot...
I meant wiping data (losing all your apps and installing them again later.

I think I'd have to agree.....it sounds like you have a problem with one of the apps and/or the ROM you have on your phone......depending on how deep the issue goes, you have two options.....
Option 1.......download "appbak" from the play store, use it to make a list of your installed apps then delete them. When you've done that, wipe cache and dalvik again (lol) and use appbak to do a fresh reinstall of all your apps........
If that doesn't work.......
Option 2.......
Wipe EVERYTHING, including your ROM, SD card, internal storage, cache and dalvik, and do a COMPLETELY "pristine" install.....if that doesn't sort it out, nothing will, and a trip to the service center is probably the only option.......

Well, thanks, but... I prefer keep it in this way rather than flashing again.
I'll wait for next CM9 version at least.
Is there any other method how to solve this?

Yep, seems pretty interesting, the only thing that leaves me puzzled is that he's using kernel 2.6.35, not 3.x... does this mean he will have to do an entire different CM10 version later on, or will we be able to upgrade from CM10kernel2.6 to CM10kernel3.x?
Moreover, re my problem... If I want to install CM10 and get rid of this problem, I guess I'd do a full wipe... is this procedure correct?
cwm-> wipe data/factory reset
Cwm-> wipe cache
cwm->mount and storage -> format system. Format data. Format cache.
Install cm10alpha1.
Install gapps.
Thanks.
According to Arco, the reason he's sticking with v2.6 is because the camera works with it....on 3.0, it doesn't......yet....
He has said that he might try to integrate 3.0 into the build at a later date....when it's more stable.
In terms of wiping prior to installing '10....
All I've ever done before flashing a new ROM is wipe cache, dalvik and factory wipe/reset. If you want advice about anything more thorough, the best person to comment would be Pepoluan......he can guide you step by step to achieve the "pristine" result you want.....but yes, at the very least, you need to deal with cache, dalvik and factory reset......
In terms of flashing CM 10, follow my guide...

and everything should install without issue.....

What I do is go to CWM, wipe everything, re-flash ROM + Gapps, wipe everything (again), restore app with titanium backup. And everything is smooth...

I heard someone mentioning my name
To get a "Pristine" CM9, the steps are very simple, actually. BUT, you *need* a computer (laptop or desktop, doesn't matter).
1. Create a nandroid backup, just in case
2. Copy all important non-synced files from the internal storage & internal SD into the external SD
3. Backup your external SD into the computer
4. Format your SD. If you plan on using Link2SD, this would be a good time to also repartition it.
5. Copy the CM9 and GApps updatezips to the SD card.
6. Boot into CWM5/6 recovery, and wipe: cache, data, system, internal SD, battery stats.
7. Install the two updatezips (CM9 followed by GApps).
8. Reboot. Follow the initialization procedure.
9. If you want SD-Swapping, as soon as you arrived in the Trebuchet launcher, open Settings and configure SD-swapping.
10. DO NOT EVER restore any backups you made in GB, except messages and call logs. ALWAYS install apps fresh from the Play Store.
With a Pristine install, I *never* had any problems. And my phone's responsive enough I honestly no longer feel even the slightest desire to install any tweaks/mods/'engines'.

I'm currently using Trinity Vengeance RaptorXL ROM that was restored from Slimbean. The push notifications worked before I flashed Slimbean and reverted to TVRXL. I don't know what's causing this. I tried many things like clearing data and degreenifying the app.
