Constant force closing of facebook 1.8.3 - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently installed Runnymede's AIO 6.0.4.1 and on install of facebook's app, I keep getting the process com.facebook.katana has unexpectedly stopped force close. I searched and tried the solutions such as clearing cache and data, however since I recently installed it, there is 0 kB within cache and data. I've also reinstalled it several times all of which came back with the same error.
Anyone know how to fix this?

u could try fixing permissions in recovery if u have that option

Did you try if wiping dalvik-cache + cache in recovery solves it? If not, do it.

Yeah, those were the first things I did. I think I will need to reflash the ROM and hope that will work.

It might be because of ext partitions on SD... Do you have any ?

I do, as I followed the partition instructions when installing the ROM.

So what's you're ext partition size ?
Edit : i think you should try clearing market and facebook caches.

I cleared market's as well with the same problem. I cleared the cache through recovery as I can't select it in the applications menu for facebook. (It says 0 kB as I installed it but could never get it opened).

[Q] Installing new kernel and dalvik cache

I just installed a new kernel and afterwards read about clearing the dalvik cache before installing kernels. Since I never did this should I clear it now, or do I have to clear it and then install the kernel?
clear then install
Is this the same thing as "cleaning" the dalvik cache using Titanium or do you actually have to delete the entire cache folder?

To be on the safe side i do it both in Titanium and then when i am in Clockworkmod, I do it in the advanced section too - by the way if you do not have partition done on your sd card u will see an E: error message. You can ignore that.

Thanks alot .... I did it the way you suggested and am rebooting now. I appreciate the help.
For kernels, you want to delete the cache partition, kernel stuff usually isn't help in the dalvik cache. On Amon_Ra style, it's wipe cache. On CWM I think it's wipe cache partition (Don't know, have not used CWM in a while).

Cleaning in Ti only deletes unneeded files. Do this after you uninstall an app or two. Wiping in Recovery clears it out completely, so you'll have a longer next boot time while it's rebuilt. You only need to wipe it when changing to and from one of King's with HAVS.

So I don't need to wipe when updating Chads incredikernel?
You should always wipe caches when swapping kernels, even it its switching kernels from the same dev. It takes like no time to do so why not? I've forgotten to and usually it makes no difference. Sometimes its just forced closed's until I can restart and do it right.

Installing custom Rom and stucking on white htc screen every time

hi, i have a WFS A510e marvel with S-On, rooted. every time i try to install a custom rom in recovery mode it says that install complete but then stucks on htc white screen and never moves forward. i mailny use to wipe data/reset then wipe cache partition and then wipe dalvik cache and then installing a custom rom.
Any one please guide me on this
Uh, try using superwipe, it may help. If it doesn't then it might be a problem with your rom.
Which rom are you trying to install?
perfectly done?
have you performed all steps properly ??
nandroid backup?
wipe cache
advance wipe dalvik cache !!!!
Try format system partition?
-create correct partitions
-wipe data,cache,dalvik cache twice
-install superwipe
-again,wipe all twice
-install your rom and wait max 10 minutes
If i helped you,click "Thank's" button.have a nice night.

Got similiar problem, only EQDKP roms are working fine, tried cm7.2, 9 and Fresh Ice rom [which i want the most] and always stuck.
After installing the rom make cache wipe and dalvik cache wipe than reboot your phone... and for the first start you might have to wait around 10 to 15 minutes...

Are you sure you did everything as in the instructions? First partition to ext4 + linux swap, then install rom, boot and install data2sd. It works for me.
Anyway, we NEED someone knowledgable to try to fix this problem.
yep, i tried each and everything listed there but the internal storage is now a problem for me

ONLY clear data for Phone
settings>Apps >select Phone >clear data
If it doesn't work. Probably corruption occurred during download or you flashed a bad theme.
Try re download ROM, format system and reflash
