For those of you who have tried MIUI and miss the countless lock themes or just love changing your lockscreen with other apps, the Go Dev Team has created Go Locker. The themes available right now are limited but there will be more added.

The GO Dev Team is phenomenal! I still want Go Browser though. They said it was coming in English a year ago...
using this as well. downloaded this today and really liking it. no delays from waking, working better than magiclocker so far. needs more customization.
I like this one
It works great cant wait for more options on it.
Used this for about 3 hours this morning and saw my battery go from 100% to 32% in that time.

Im on CM7 I had battery issues with other GO apps too. Specifically GoChat. Tried that again today too and my battery dropped from 100 after unplugging to 82% in about 20 minutes without even using the app itself.
I had problems w/ my battery I thought it was this app but in the end it was kik messenger

Your not having battery problem. apps like kik and gochat are contantly sending and receiving data on your network even when your not actively using them . Data consumption is the number one battery killer.

Your point is taken, but I think screen on time will always be your biggest battery drain.

Okay so I'm in full wtf mode right now. I just got 6 hours if screen time with the stock battery. I under clocked my CPU to 800 MHz(which doesn't matter because this is how much it normally uses any way.) And I set brightness on low plus turned the data off when I wasn't using it. But I've done all this before and have never gotten this type of battery life. Is it the new cm9 beta and the "PEGASUSQ" governor? 6 hours of screen time without a extended battery is supposed to be impossible. Especially with heavy usage.(reading manga/watching videos/listening to music for the whole day )

hell yeah. I got 7 before on a cm 10 rom and 12 on an extended battery. which was like 4 or 5 hours reading but yes. I think if people turn off data the phone tends to last longer. I know a lot need their emails tho.
EDIT: im sorry, looking at my screenshots, i was on aokp ics

Check your battery - actually open your back cover and check it. There seems to be a major issue with this phone's battery failing. I checked mine 2 hours ago because I got fed up with the battery drain. And like all the other cases, my battery is swollen and defective. I'm not sire when this happened or what caused it.

that gets caused by leaving the phone on the charger long after it has fully charged and/or overheating on the battery. it does happen a lot while phone is plugged in.
but actually I think you got his post wrong, we're saying we got great battery. 6 +hours screen ontime. My total was like 12 or something... I have some screenshots..

CM9 gives me close to that. I can get 17 hours of total time with 5 hours of screen time. Its not impossible. Especially if your turning data off inbetween and saving more battery for your screen. CM goodness.....

Download CM9. turn screen brightness down. Set it up to 'keep screen on'. and run it for 6+ hours. There would be your proof. Definately possible from what I see. I'll attach some screens from yesterday's usage for me.

I, personally, don't focus on battery life at all. I run Bluetooth all day, listening to my music, play games on it during my lunch hour and other times throughout the day and send texts/emails off and on all day, and it's down to about 40% by the time I leave work on a normal day. That's unplugging at around 7:30AM, and leaving work at about 5-5:30PM, so that's about 10 hours mid-heavy consistent usage.
To me, as long as I get my full day out of it, I'm perfectly content with it. I don't need my device to be a battery warrior, I need it to be a power beast and do what I want it to do, when I want it to do it. I personally dislike apps like Juice Defender and those that disable radios and data on me. I also don't like using CPU scripts to limit the CPU, undervolt it and all that. To me, it just seems contradicting to buy a powerhouse like the S3 and then strip away it's best and most powerful features. I also don't like the small influx of bugs that arise when you start doing things like disabling data and limiting the CPU/voltage. I like my smartphone to be as smooth as possible, all the time, without any hitches/bugs.
I'm a very heavy user and rely on certain notifications as they are sent out, so extending the battery by an hour or two is the most I could hope to gain by using these apps/scripts, and the level of frustration that come with them when I get syncs late or things are sluggish isn't worth it, imho.
Don't take that the wrong way, I'm not saying they are bad apps at all, nor are the CPU scripts completely pointless. I would give them a high rating if asked, because they do their functions well. I'm just saying they don't work for the way I use my device.
2nd day on Goodness 7.03 with the stock kernel, considering my average use it's pretty sweet by the end of the day.
P.S. loving the goodness, has to be tied with wicked sensations for #1 rom in my book

Just got a replacement Epic from Sprint about a day ago. Looks new, probably refurbished. They replaced my old one because it started having some problems along with fast battery drain and inconsistent battery level readings on the device.
So I have my new device along with a new battery from sprint, and I thought all would be well but my new epic and new batter is still draining about 10% every 20 minutes with light use (internet browsing over wifi w/ lowest screen brightness setting). Also, when the phone gets to about 30 or so percent battery life it starts lagging and when I pull the battery or reboot it, the batter meter will read real low (like under 10%) once it powers back up.
I am rooted, I installed The Peoples Rom all according to the instructions from qbking77 on youtube just as I had with my last phone without problem.
I have calibrated the battery twice, and wiped the battery stats in recovery.
I was having these same problems with my last epic which is why I had it replaced. Now I have a new one and new battery and the same problems. How can I fix it?
Also not using GPS, Bluetooth, etc
Just wifi and web

Sounds like an application you are installing is the culprit. Search XDA for "better battery stats" and download/install that application. It will tell you what wakelock is your problem.
Wiping battery stats has been stated to do nothing to benefit the phone/battery/user. It's a placebo. (http://www.androidcentral.com/wiping-battery-stats-doesnt-improve-battery-life-says-google-engineer)

Play with the settings in the middle and last drop down menus to pick a duration of time and then toggle the top menu to see what's keeping your phone awake. usually "partial wakelocks".
Also, if you have a virgin install, then you can very well have a battery on its' last leg. We have an old phone, so it is very possible you have an old battery. Yes, even from Sprint.
If you don't see any outliers in BetterBatteryStats, then I'd suggest just spending the $12 or $20 on an Epic 4G Touch battery. That one is a 1800mAh battery, compared to our phone's 1500mAh and fits in our phone.
The only thing that seems to stand out is No or unknown connection (something like that) screen (which is always on lowest setting) and wifi (which I'm mostly connected to indoors) the battery that sprint sent me for the replacement is from the GS2 (that 1800mah that u were talking about)

Toggle the "other" drop down menu and select "partial wakelock".
Also, check your time without signal in: settings > battery > cell standby menu on your phone. Anything greater than 3% will be a battery drain.

So I pulled out my old battery last night and put it in the phone, and allowed it to charge overnight. This morning I put my phone through its normal use. I've been on my old battery for a little over 30 minutes and have on dropped about 8% in this time. I still feel like that's a lot, but its better than 10% every 20 minutes on the "new" battery they sent. So I'm guessing this would mean it is the battery that sprint sent that's causing the problem?

Wow something's really messed up. Try clearing data and cache and force stopping the messaging app.
If that doesn't work then I guess a factory reset or flashing a new rom or kernel might.

Try greenify it will stop apps from waking up/running in the background, also you can freeze or uninstall stuff with titanium backup, and also monitor things with better battery stats app.
here is how greenify works, in case u never used it before.hope it helps.

Battery draining this fast while the phone isn't in use can only mean one thing: your phone is awake all the time. You had 1.5 hours of screen use but then, your phone was idle for the remaining time. I suggest you install BetterBatteryStats, it will show which process is preventing the phone from going into deep sleep (this is called a wakelock).

Note after the update IQ_TOGGLE and IQ_OOB have been removed from system/priv-app/ and combined into the first apk so don't be suprised if you don't see them. Follow that and you'll go a lot farther.
I've had the opposite. My battery life seems to be MUCH better after the update. Getting over 4 hours of SOT as opposed to 3 before the update.

I have a question to the folks experiencing battery drain. Do any of you have viper installed?

Viper4android sound mod...
---------- Post added at 01:48 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:44 AM ----------
I got my tone infinums the other day and I wanted to unlock some potential so I installed viper sound mod. It works great and they sound great, but I noticed my phone started getting warm and battery started going faster even when not doing anything. I went to the viper settings app and turned it off. I stsrted noticing better battery and my phone stayed cool. I now only turn it on if I'm listening to music or whatever.. I have no more issues now and wanted to see if maybe others might be experiencing these problems and give them a possible reason as to why..
Battery has improved
Great, what is it now?
Mine has gone down since the first day but is still pretty good. Right now I have just over 5 hours screen time and about 15% left.
A couple days ago though it seemed like the battery would last forever.
I'm going to run it low tonight though for a full charge. I'm going to run it down to about 5%.

IF YOU PLAY ANY GAME YOU ARE SCREWED. if i dont play a game i get a little over 4 hours screen time.
I have almost 6 hours screen time and 7% left..
Ytube, tune in, pocket caster, gmail and other stuff.. Bluetooth for hours and stuff running while screen was off
And of course if you play games you will kill the battery quicker.
I think it is pretty good..
