How much screen on time do you have? That's what really counts. Anything between 3-4 hours is good.
Im running stockmodrom and right now im at 50% with 14hrs and 1.5hrs screen on time.

Wow something's really messed up. Try clearing data and cache and force stopping the messaging app.
If that doesn't work then I guess a factory reset or flashing a new rom or kernel might.

Try greenify it will stop apps from waking up/running in the background, also you can freeze or uninstall stuff with titanium backup, and also monitor things with better battery stats app.
here is how greenify works, in case u never used it before.hope it helps.

Battery draining this fast while the phone isn't in use can only mean one thing: your phone is awake all the time. You had 1.5 hours of screen use but then, your phone was idle for the remaining time. I suggest you install BetterBatteryStats, it will show which process is preventing the phone from going into deep sleep (this is called a wakelock).

[Q] Battery life decreases after a few days

okay so im running the mikofroyo 4.3 rom it starts off with 26 hours of battery life at a full charge... after about 3 days it decreases and at a full charge i only get 7 hours what can i do to fix this? this, has also happened with other roms as well
You probably use,it differently at other days..
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
no the most i use it is on the weekends where i work we are not allowed to have cell phones so it just sits in my pocket or in the car all day
Do you use chats or something like that ? Like aim and stuff

Get an app called battery booster. Let the phone's battery get under 20% click full cycle charge. See if that helps. Also how often do you let the phone just die out? That could help. Oh yeah and don't mess with the phone on full cycle charge.
Yeah try different things

Go Locker (lock replacement)

For those of you who have tried MIUI and miss the countless lock themes or just love changing your lockscreen with other apps, the Go Dev Team has created Go Locker. The themes available right now are limited but there will be more added.

What did you expect?
The GO Dev Team is phenomenal! I still want Go Browser though. They said it was coming in English a year ago...
using this as well. downloaded this today and really liking it. no delays from waking, working better than magiclocker so far. needs more customization.
I like this one
It works great cant wait for more options on it.
Used this for about 3 hours this morning and saw my battery go from 100% to 32% in that time.

Im on CM7 I had battery issues with other GO apps too. Specifically GoChat. Tried that again today too and my battery dropped from 100 after unplugging to 82% in about 20 minutes without even using the app itself.
I had problems w/ my battery I thought it was this app but in the end it was kik messenger
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Your not having battery problem. apps like kik and gochat are contantly sending and receiving data on your network even when your not actively using them . Data consumption is the number one battery killer.

Your point is taken, but I think screen on time will always be your biggest battery drain.

is this sort of battery drain normal?

Cause to me it seems a little too fast. I took this screen shot right after arriving at work a couple days ago. All I did with the phone was unplug from the charger and drive to work.
Then today I unplugged it again and in like 5 minutes of me searching something in Chrome it drained 3 percent.
I'm at 85% right now and it's been just a little over an hour.
Is this normal?

Are you running stock TW ROM? Also use betterbatterystats, cpu spy, and gsam battery monitor. To see if you can track down if there's something keeping your phone awake/running when it shouldn't. Also cpu spy tells you if your phone is actually going to sleep when you turn the screen off or if there's something running

MIne had bad battery at first but i guess it settled in and im getting great battery life now. Maybe rooting and removing all that bloat had something to do with it not sure.
This sucks. I can literally just watch the battery go down. Is my battery bad?
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app
Lol.. do a complete wipe.. wipe everything
Umm aren't your screen shots from a custom rom that's not even out on the tmo s4?

Oops wrong forum
My battery is bad too but not as bad as yours even after I delete a whole bunch of apps I don't use ,turn off LTE (my area don't have it yet),
turn off Location scan in google map (betterbatterystats showing it checking my location every 2-5 minutes). Lets see how today goes.
Battery life has been amazing for me! I'm averaging about 13 hours of of juice from 4.5 hours of screen, in other words very heavy usage. I've been showing off to all the iPhone users at work, They now want a GS4.
I knew it. I freaking knew it was going to happen. Some arse buys a quad core "super" smartphone and then starts a thread crying about battery life. really? REALLY?!
well that's okay, i suppose. you can always post on XDA and beg for a dev to cook a kernel just for you that will miraculously give amazing battery life to your quad core super phone.
okay.... rant over. now time for a more tactful response.
IT'S A QUAD CORE SNAPDRAGON. i wouldn't get too bent out of shape on battery life. And I most certainly would not compare it to another device short of the HTC One.
Battery life is great for me. I only disabled some apps, kept most of the Samsung apps, but also disable all those Air/Smart gestures. I can go 2 days without charging with moderate use.
My battery has been alright, but I don't know why "google services" is showing such a high battery usage. I had the screen off for the last hour and google services is showing a 43 percent battery usage. That seems unusually high, no?
I did some investigating with "gsam battery monitor" and it showed that "networklocationlocator" has been causing wakelocks.

What's wrong with my phone?

So I have a zero lemon 9300mah battery and got the mean bean rom been almost a month that I charge my phone fully and in 2 hours it goes to 50% so I though it was the battery. I changed the battery to a new one still died fast than I thought it was my rom. So I changed that last night to liquid smooth and charged overnight. Woke up at 8.30 and now it's 11.00am I am at 33% from 100% what's going on please help me.

If your screen/display isn't the top thing then in most cases you have a problem
This is what mine looks like

This may sound silly, but do you ever turn your screen off, lol.
Just kidding, but that's pretty bad.
Click the screen on and see what your time is. Is that with the Zero Lemon?
Sent from my SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
Either a CPU max run state...or a serious wake lock...or both..
Zero lemon getting drained like that is a serious problem...
I would suggest a "complete" wipe...and the flashing of a rooted stock rom as a test base...
If the device still exhibits the behavior...then a hardware issue may be at Work here...
If the device gets hot to the touch....then get the device to a stock and clean state...so some unmodified testing can take place...
Let us know...g

Even if you leave your screen on, never turn off zerolemon should still last you much longer than 4 hours of screen time. I have one, I get 3 days usage out of it
