Hi everybody.
I have seen two threads, at development forum, having links to supposed roms that fix the problem (2.3.4 ->2.3.2. -> gingerbreak->0% battery).
I downloaded one of them, from the thread "Lt15i 0% battery Temporary solution". I tried to flash my arc, but flashtools could not do it.
"2/002/2011 22:02:51 - ERROR - Please plug you device in flash mode

I suppose it is still a WIP fix. is there any news from China? What about a temporary fix?
Now I have 3.0.1.A.0.146_Global (patched to show 1%, instead of 0%). NOthing better than this, at this time?.
Lots of thinks to everybody working to fix this problem.
No one is doing much answering at the moment. The china one does not work. The ftf file they released does not work at all. I have just been trying to compile some info on how to get this thing to work, but I am not nearly savvy enough to really understand a lot of it. And currently all the big players are silent. So I guess no new news. Your current fix is the best atm. Sadly.

I need someone to do a 'pull' on the system folder from a phone that is still in good condition. I want to know if some of the battery related files are the same or not.
i have the same problem, but i come from 2.3.3 not from 2.3.4
2.3.3->2.3.2->gingerbreak->0%
anyone can help?
Hey you, man from Yakarta, are you sure is the same problem? There is another 0% battery problem which is fixed easily, getting off battery for 30 minutes.

No need to take out for 30 minutes, I only had to take out for maybe like 10 seconds.
No news, damn ****!!!!
can i help somehow? my arc is on .283, rooted.
locked BL. PM if somebody needs.
Thanks for you help.
I'm flashing Vodafone Rom, and tomorrow I will send my arc to Sony Ericsson.
Good luck for every body.
I got a replacement phone back from SE repair recently and I have this problem as my phone was sent back to me with the same battery, my phone reads the charge fine, it's just in battery use it says 20m or 2m remaining even when it's above 90%. Will draining the battery to 0% solve this?
Also if you need a healthy system folder I will help if you tell me how to obtain these files on an unrooted, bootloader locked phone.

Hi,
I put my TP2 on charge, when I went to bed, next morning it would not turn on.
Took the battery out and tried again, the splash screen just stays.
I read around here and internet. I can access the bootloader where it says:
RHOD110 32M HX-BC
SPL-0.87.000
MircoP(LED) Wrong Plat(0x0)
MicroP(KEY) Wrong Plat(0x0)
Turbo HW/Turbo SW
TP MFG DATA
503,530 790,851
794,213 215,208
212,851 Calibrated
I have tried reflashing with official rom from HTC in NZ - didn't work
No other roms have been put on it, only the WM6.5 official NZ rom, as phone was on the original rom, updated when bought (second hand) up until this point phone worked perfectly ok.
The phone was charging from AC - no water damage. (stickers are still hashed red)
Any ideas or just random bad luck?
Well, after 2 years and a couple of months of mutual respect and caring my tp2 did the exact same number on me. Here is to hoping it will eventually get over it!
Any help will be appreciated

Maybe Plat refers to platform. I wonder if your bootloader might be corrupted.
rhod110 is Australian Telstra Touch Pro 2 GSM T7373, is that what you have? Did you try HSPLing it yet, that will install a new bootloader image. Be carefull which one you choose though.

Agreed. OP try flashing GSM HardSPL and then flash a custom rom.
Guys you can count me out. Some time on a hair-drier regimens and it all worked out. It probably took in some moisture (i did drive for an hour in the rain, though the phone did not directly get wet.
However, for the record, while i was on the plat error trip nothing worked. Not hard reset, nor flashing with...ANYTHING!!!

I cannot post in the developers forum yet. So hopefully some people can answer a Q for me here.
If you do a dump of your system folder and go to system/etc/firmware. Can you tell me what bq files you see there and what size they (it) is? This goes for anyone who has the 0% 1% issues and nothing wrong as well please.
Thus far I have noticed that the 0% and 1% issue, for me at least, has shown a difference of only having 1 file for the 0%: bq27520_fw-0507_filever-0112_proj-anzu_golden.bqfs and 2 files for the 1%: bq27520_fw-0501_filever-0105_proj-hall_golden.bqfs, bq27520_fw-0501_filever-0105_proj-hall_golden.dffs.
I would like to know if anyone what a no issue phone has in that folder.
Thanks. This has to be software related, and it has to be fixable. There is no way that the 1% issue would be a temp fix if it wasnt strictly software related. Someone has to have a fix at some point.
Is there anyone out there that can zip their system folder of a good phone and upload it somewhere? I would appreciate it.
If you tell me how to do that/im not rooted/?
here, System/etc/firmware
Alright, well I am not sure how this has turned into such a non-topic now, maybe everyone sent off their phones? I havent. But I still cant post in the dev area, so just a note of the screwing around I have been up to;
Being unable to view the actual contents of the .sin files, I have been trying a little mix and matching. By replacing the kernel.sin file in several 3.0.A ftf files just before the reflash you can recreate the 1% on any 3.0.A update (as it happens in verison 3.0.1.A.0.146). It crashes the core when it boots back up again, but the 1% shows up on rev. 181, 184.
So something within that kernel.sin file is creating a somewhat workable 1%. If it was possible to recreate whatever it is doing in that kernel.sin and adapt it to a 4.0 rev, I would suspect this would help to alleviate some of the pain in the assery that is currently going on.
Anyways. Just thought I would share. Seeing as how everyone else is so quiet!
I accidentally plugged in an unofficial micro-USB charger and now the phone shows the incorrect batter status icon in the upper right corner of the phone. When not charging, it will appear as if it is and sometimes vice versa. The battery settings section usually displays the correct status. I think the battery stats are out of sync. Has this happened to anyone else, is there another explanation/solution?
I understand it is possible to wipe the battery stats using cwm. Can I wipe or reset the battery without rooting somehow? I don't want to mess with the stock phone at all. If I have to root and install cwm, can I revert to an absolutely original stock state?
Please help! Thanks and Happy New Year!!
I think its a bug. Havent read up on it because ive only had it happen a country le tikes and it went away quickly. I think cwm had a relation to this for a minute. Anyways, batterycalibration app will work but you need root.

batterystats.bin is a system file, so you do need root. and yes, you can revert to completely stock, including locking the bootloader.

Okay, I'm realizing from reading elsewhere that you are completely right and I need root to delete that file which should help recalibrate my battery. However, I'm not finding good instructions for completely reverting my GSM Galaxy Nexus back to stock, including unrooting and reverting any changes to the boot loader and recovery mode. Can anyone point me in the right direction?? Thanks in advance.

To unroot and back to stock:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1366806
Same problem, no solution..
I have tried many things:
- Wiping battery status
- Wiping dalwik cache
- Reset to factory settings
- Reinstalled Firmware with official firmware from Samsungs dutch site. (Cant post outside urls because Im a newcomer )
- Including lots of reboots in between these steps.
- It seems that attach and detaching the charger makes it become stable for a few minutes, but then its back to wonky, wonky.
Nothing worked. I keep getting this intent when not charging:
W/PowerUI ( 273): unknown itent: Intent { act=android.inten.action. ACTION_POWER_CONNECTED flg=0x10000010 }
I think this must be hardware-related. I filed a support-request at the store I bought it from (Norway). I'll wait and see what they have to say about it.
i have the very same problem since 11.02. without changing anything to the phone.
flashing rom, wiping battery/user data did not help anything.
i checked who is posting the error message
W/PowerUI ( 291): unknown intent: Intent { act=android.intent.action.ACTION_POWER_CONNECTED flg=0x10000010 }
and found it is com.android.systemui
Returning my phone
Im returning my phone. Will update you on the progress.
Replaced FPCB-sub-pba
They have replaced what they called FPCB-sub-pba. I havent figured out what that is, but I will receive the phone in a couple of days. Hopefully in a working condition

Hello everyone,
I've decided to get help trying to fix my Xperia Arc which has weird battery issues.
I tried so many things trying to fix it that I don't now what to try/where to look for an answer. So, I decided to ask you guys for help.
The problem started this summer, I updated my phone with the official ICS update, and after that, battery life went from average to awful.
I have, at the moment, a battery consumption of around 20% per hour, and it doesn't change whether I'm using the phone or not.
I have tried the following things :
- New battery : same problem
- New kernel rom => Tried different kernels (arcknight/stock ...) and different custom roms => same problem
- Re-locking the bootloader and flashing stock 2.3 => same issue
- Installed software to check what was using the battery : nothing stood out.
So now I don't know what to do, I'm at loss. When I was running custom roms I always remembered to delete the battery stats once the battery was full, didnt help.
Also, I thing the problem is the battery sensor ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Vincent.

ICS requires you to restart your phone after every time you charge it. Bug in the firmware.
If still dropping too fast - Then it has to be some of your settings, that you use, either a sync or GPS or something.
have you wipe battery stat in cwm?

1.
Revert to stock. Relock your bootloader. Repair phone with pc companion.
2.
Check your battery. Take it out and study it. Is it deformed, swollen or anything?
3. (OPTIONAL)
Clean battery pins on phone and battery with aftershave
4.
Get a new battery
Cheers guys for the answers. I tried everything you guys recommended and yup same problem
I'm sending it in for repairs and hopefully they'll fix it.

Hello everyone,
First post here. I've had no issues with my Nexus 5X before this 7.1.1 update. I don't use my phone that much, it usually lasted me for 2 days...now I can hardly make it through the day! I have to keep it on battery saver :crying:
Battery stats - Screen 16%, Google Services 14%, Android OS 10%.
I'm not sure if that's normal or high. I did a factory reset but it got me back to the same Nougat 7.1.1., so kinda useless. I'm a total idiot when it comes to rooting or other kind of factory resets. Is it possible to rollback to the previous version? Or is there something I can post here to find the problem? The phone is not rooted.
Thank you! Greetings from China.
I would say flash komplete Stock Firmware 7.1.1 again.

The easiest way is to unlock your boot-loader and flash the latest (or previous, they have many versions to test out) google factory image. This will delete EVERYTHING and prepare the phone as new.
Ok thanx!
I can unlock the boot-loader if the phone is not rooted?
Sorry for the stupid questions, I've never done all this before...
Maybe I'll try on my old Nexus 4 first..

The only significant difference in the procedure between these two phones is that 5X requires you to enable the oem unlocking option in the hidden developer options before flashing, the rest is the same.
So you can try your competence with the nexus 4 first, no need to root the devices.
I bet you can find guides here and online for this, you just need to install the google usb driver and something like the "minimal adb", restart the phone to bootloader mode and issue 2 commands.
The images and instructions are at developers.google.com/android/images
Like people's comments if you find them helpful
Thanx a lot...I found the needed threads and some youtube videos...I just hope I don't mess something up cuz I'm totally new to this...:crying: Or I could just wait till the next update
