[Q] Remove GoMarket

Hey guys,
i'm using 2.51 rom UK, but since the black status bar update (i think) i have installed an app called "GoMarket"
I tried to delete it, but it didn't work.
Wouldn't be a problem.
BUT, i realized that this app also catches the market links.
If i can't remove it, at least i want to rid of it catching my market links.
any advices? tips?
read somewhere, just removeing the apk from systen folder possibly messes everything up? don't need something yet. any confirms?

assuming you've rooted your device, i think you can use titanium backup pro or adb to remove it.

Hey, Thanks, yep, I'm having root, don't own titanium backup pro yet,
How do u mean VIA adb?
Adb uninstall, will check it out right now

you could try uninstall for root ive used it to uninstall system apps before also some app require device administration permissions and you have to unselect them first to uninstall them the settings can be found in Settings>Location & security settings>Select device administrators

You just need to download titanium backup which is free version and locate that gomarket app in TB and click delete. Or use root explorer to go into system/app and locate that file n simply delete it.

will try this one ( TB already tried, directly reboots the phone - app stays where it was :=P)

dont find this option on my phone (as above, 2.51 stock 2.1)
to systems/apps delete it with command or root explorer,
question is, does this mess up may system? read about phones which don't start after deleting goMarket directly ;=)
would have been my first try

Do a nandroid backup if you're worried.
Titanium Backup doesn't work? Make sure you have an updated busybox (there's on on the Market).

[Q] Bloatware keeps installing

Hi,
I have used WinDroid Toolkit to unlock, flash TWRP and root the HTC Desire 820u which worked fine. I then installed System App Remover (ROOT) which I have used on all my past phones.
I have removed all Chinese apps including AppMarket & Hidi, but when I restart the phone the apps are all back. I've also tried to remove HTC Blinkfeed as I use Nova so have no use for it and then same thing happens. It appears to be removed, but on restarting the phone, it's back?
Is there anyway I can remove these without them coming back?

how about trying this?: use a root file manager to rename all the unnecessary files (apk & odex) in /system/app and /system/priv-app. and, if the phone reboots and works fine, delete the renamed files altogether.
that's what i've done on my past phones (once i got root access and custom recovery) - with a full nandroid backup and backups of all data and apps+data at hand, of course.
fyi, i used online nandroid backup script, mybackup pro app and es file explorer app for these tasks.

Hello.... I'm using HTC desire 820 device which is unlocked and rooted too. I want to remove preinstalled apps from my device for free up some memories. When I try to uninstall the unwanted apps with the help of ES FILE EXPLORER or TITANIUM BACKUP, I'm getting​ that uninstalled successful. But, they are there again after rebooting the device......
Please suggest me to do uninstall permanently......

S-0ff M9, took OTA yesterday. Installed TWRP3001, then SuperSU 2.64. Got SuperSU Pro from Play Store. Updated everything.
Everything works fine, Root Explorer and Titanium both get superuser permissions OK.
Deleting bloat apps with Titanium proceeds with no errors or issues.
Upon restart, any programs removed by Titanium return, as if never deleted.
Reset root for Titanium in SuperSU and restarted with no improvement.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried with root explorer, that's my go-to for deleting apps. Check in system/app+priv-app and data/app

I've seen this before when rooting the stock ROM. If I'm remembering correctly, for whatever reason, running the kit-kat sd fix apk (search market) to provide rw access to the sd fixes this. Run this-- then download ES Explorer, check the root access box, then add a random file (can be deleted after) to both the ext and internal sd (it puts you through a protocol that mounts both rw).
The other thing I remember doing is going into the actual apps dialogue and uninstalling "updates" on the bloatware apps (the ones that don't give you the option to simply uninstall), then returning to TiBu and uninstalling the same (underlying) apps from there-- essentially removing the ROM version of the app as well as the "*-1" version of the app.
*I'm fairly sure one of these steps fixes it, but will respond again if anything else hits me
EDIT: Make sure that you tell twrp to modify the system-image too-- should prompt you with a check box (if you haven't done this already)

if you want to replace kingroot with supersu,
download kingroot & supersu from this thread... check that threads attachment for links..
Read that thread carefully... & uninstall current kingroot or reinstall this new downloaded kingroot..
& only follow all steps of kingroot replacement with supersu...
reboot your device once before following his steps!
OR
if you only want to uninstall any apps.. download & grant root access to System app remover (ROOT) & remove apps you want to remove.... also check & empty that app's recyclebin..

I was trying to uninstall Google Apps I don't use with Titanium Backup but every time I try, it just doesn't remove itself. I tried using Kingroot's version to remove the apps but that didn't end up working either.
I know my root works because I can use Root Checker and terminal emulator to 'su'.

You may have a partition mounting error.
If you have twrp recovery then goto the mount section and make sure system and data can be mounted. If yes then it may be a permission for R/W access for system.
I had all kinds of issues getting permission to write to /system.
You need to start by getting rid of King root. I used it to root initially also but swapped to super su. I also installed busybox the app. If the app can install the busybox tools then you should be good to go.
Also check a root file manager for the ability to mount "root file system"
If you have a terminal app then you can check your partitions permissions my typing 'su' then 'mount'. The mount will display the current state of all partitions without making any changes.

Try root uninstaller. Always worked with me.

I've always used root uninstaller on all my devices until this one. It says something along the lines of "sorry, root privilege found but cannot mount system r/w " so it will only allow me to disable apps. Root essentials on the other hand won't disable apps but will allow me to uninstall system apps except for Google, which I had to manually delete the folder and apk for.

You can use Titanium Backup to do so, uninstall and reboot to confirm, Just make sure the app is not disabled before you uninstall it.

I had the same problem, too. I tried several apps but the uninstalled ones magical appear again after reboot.
The only thing that worked for me was to install the magisk module " terminal debloater " here on XDA.
Now they are gone.
