Apps not uninstalling after root - Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

as

if you want to replace kingroot with supersu,
download kingroot & supersu from this thread... check that threads attachment for links..
Read that thread carefully... & uninstall current kingroot or reinstall this new downloaded kingroot..
& only follow all steps of kingroot replacement with supersu...
reboot your device once before following his steps!
OR
if you only want to uninstall any apps.. download & grant root access to System app remover (ROOT) & remove apps you want to remove.... also check & empty that app's recyclebin..

Hey y'all,
I rooted my phone with Kingroot and I was trying to get SuperSU on it. I tried a ton of different methods like SuperSU Me but it didn't end up working so I settled on Kingroot.
I was trying to uninstall Google Apps I don't use with Titanium Backup but every time I try, it just doesn't remove itself. I tried using Kingroot's version to remove the apps but that didn't end up working either.
I know my root works because I can use Root Checker and terminal emulator to 'su'.
Any suggestions would help!

You may have a partition mounting error.
If you have twrp recovery then goto the mount section and make sure system and data can be mounted. If yes then it may be a permission for R/W access for system.
I had all kinds of issues getting permission to write to /system.
You need to start by getting rid of King root. I used it to root initially also but swapped to super su. I also installed busybox the app. If the app can install the busybox tools then you should be good to go.
Also check a root file manager for the ability to mount "root file system"
If you have a terminal app then you can check your partitions permissions my typing 'su' then 'mount'. The mount will display the current state of all partitions without making any changes.

[Q] R800X zergRush rooted but not really rooted?

Strange stuff. Just rooted my R800X via zergRush but when I try to remove stock apps, I keep getting "Uninstall not successful". The root process completed successfully and Superuser and BusyBox were installed. Not sure what I'm missing. Any ideas?

You still can't uninstall system apps from the stock launcher. you have to use apps like Titanium Backup or Root Uninstaller.
when i dump system apps on my evo 4g i use root explorer &
use root explorer-go to system folder then.... Switch root explorer into r/w (read/write) mode button on top right.
Sounds like your in r/o (read only) mode.
To make sure you have root,

(Root check on android market, very useful app)
Try Bloat Freezer from the market. Thats what I'm using.
Edit: its the free one

Kingroot, How dose it work is it just a FAKE?

I installed Kingroot on my Retail note 4. Root Checker says I have root but it dose not function as if it has root.
For Example: If I first install the app called "App Backup & Restore' on my Chainfire rooted DE note 4 on the first run the app prompts me to change the directory of the backup to my external SD Card.
But when I first install the app "App Backup & Restore" on my Kingroot rooted Retail note 4 on first run the app warns "Risk of Backup files and wont allow me to change the directory to my ext SD Card.
Most applications I have tested with Chainfires root make changes to the system after reboot. With Kingroot when you reboot you lose root.
Anybody get Kingroot to function properly as if you are really rooted?
King Root is only temporary. There is no permanent root for the Retail VZW Note 4. Supposedly they're still working on it though so don't give up.

Marshmallow M with SuperSU 2.65

S-0ff M9, took OTA yesterday. Installed TWRP3001, then SuperSU 2.64. Got SuperSU Pro from Play Store. Updated everything.
Everything works fine, Root Explorer and Titanium both get superuser permissions OK.
Deleting bloat apps with Titanium proceeds with no errors or issues.
Upon restart, any programs removed by Titanium return, as if never deleted.
Reset root for Titanium in SuperSU and restarted with no improvement.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried with root explorer, that's my go-to for deleting apps. Check in system/app+priv-app and data/app

I've seen this before when rooting the stock ROM. If I'm remembering correctly, for whatever reason, running the kit-kat sd fix apk (search market) to provide rw access to the sd fixes this. Run this-- then download ES Explorer, check the root access box, then add a random file (can be deleted after) to both the ext and internal sd (it puts you through a protocol that mounts both rw).
The other thing I remember doing is going into the actual apps dialogue and uninstalling "updates" on the bloatware apps (the ones that don't give you the option to simply uninstall), then returning to TiBu and uninstalling the same (underlying) apps from there-- essentially removing the ROM version of the app as well as the "*-1" version of the app.
*I'm fairly sure one of these steps fixes it, but will respond again if anything else hits me
EDIT: Make sure that you tell twrp to modify the system-image too-- should prompt you with a check box (if you haven't done this already)

cant uninstall system apps

Guys, I'm rooted with magisk and I want to remove system apps like youtube. I used system app remover for it and it always fails, any idea how to do it?
Try root uninstaller. Always worked with me.
I've always used root uninstaller on all my devices until this one. It says something along the lines of "sorry, root privilege found but cannot mount system r/w " so it will only allow me to disable apps. Root essentials on the other hand won't disable apps but will allow me to uninstall system apps except for Google, which I had to manually delete the folder and apk for.

You can use Titanium Backup to do so, uninstall and reboot to confirm, Just make sure the app is not disabled before you uninstall it.

Thanks it really works.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk
I had the same problem, too. I tried several apps but the uninstalled ones magical appear again after reboot.
The only thing that worked for me was to install the magisk module " terminal debloater " here on XDA.
Now they are gone.

Titanium backup unable to get root permission from sytemless superSU

Hello,
First of all, I'm terribly sorry to ask my question here since I'm really not sure this question has its place here, but I'm a bit at loss on where to ask or what to do. Please indulge me and tell me if there's a better place for my question.
I'm using Liquid Remix 9.0.3-20180201 on a OnePlus 3.
I have installed SuperSU 2.82 systemlessly with SuHide.
All of my apps needing root have the right to see SuperSU and are granted root permissions when they ask.
My only problem lies with Titanium Backup. When I start it, it does not ask for root permissions and shows a pop-up saying that it couldn't get root permission, indicated it tried to run "/system/bin/.ext/.su".
If I rename this file, then I see Titanium backup properly asking for root privileges (but I didn't manage to revert back the name in time).
If I reinstall superSU in "sytemfull" mode, then it works properly (but I really want systemless to avoid some games rejecting my participation).
I don't know what to do to address that issue.
I tried to change SuperSU parameters but it didn't helped.
I tried to contact Titanium backup but they ignored my requests.
If any of you have an idea, I'd take it.
I'm not sure I should ask Chainfire because he would tell me that's a Titanium Backup issue, and Titanium Backup could as easily throw away the issue (provided they would acknowledge my queries) in saying that's a problem with systemless SU.
Thanks in advance.

If you are running Oreo and I suspect you are, then only Magisk will solve your problem.
Chainfire is no longer associated with SuperSU, so asking his help may not solve the issue.
And to my knowledge, it is not an issue for TiBU since it runs alright with Magisk.
You are running android Oreo if yes use magisk
Thanks for your answer. I'll try that.
Magisk works or not
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/cant-open-titanium-backup.529927/
Summary:
- uninstall app
- delete data folder of titanium backup in /data/data.
- reinstall app

If you still have problems with titanium backup then try using an app called oandbackup its in the f-droid repository its free and works perfect with Oreo.
Newest version of magisk master v22 all in one apk solved my problem.
When patching boot it installs in the /sbin folder.
Go here to get https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/tag/v22.0
Read the install guide. https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html
Do NOT delete the IO file in system/xbin if it is there. Your system needs it.
Titainum backup looks for su in system/bin or system/xbin and won't install.
Look in system/xbin and if you see the file su you need to delete it and titanium backup will then install.
Also if it's in there Magisk will tell you that there are 2 su's and you need to uninstall the other one.
You can type su in terminal to get # then type which su to confirm where su is installed.
To remove su from /system/xbin
In a terminal type su hit enter...then
# mount -o rw,remount /
rm /system/xbin/su
go to the xbin in a file explores to confirm its deleted. if so then reboot
file system should go back to read only.
You can also in a terminal after you confirmed x/binsu is deleted type
su then mount -o ro,remount / to change back to read only.
Titanium backup should install.
I'm not a developer. I've learned from the forums
and by many hours of trial and error.
Hope this helps someone.
