Any else notice that their crt off animation gets sloppy after a while. Like it doesn't look as smooth as it was on a fresh flash.. I would get a weird white screen for a split second. Maybe its just my phone. When I first flashed the rom it was fine.

same here. flashed different roms and after awhile crt animation looks nasty. trying to find stock animation to remove this. will update when i do find it.

Does anyone remember the rotate animation that could be turned on, in 1.5, in Spare Parts? The one that kinda bounced when rotating the screen
I was wondering if it was possible to get this animation on Android 2.2?
I'm running OpenDesire 3.3.0 right now and would love for this animation to come back It gives the UI a more cool/fancy look.

I kind of really like the CRT animation on 2.3.3, I heard sony changed it on 2.3.4, what was it changed to?
It's called a screen off animation, and it was changed to a fade in/out from middle transition

It's not as good as the CRT. Infact you prob wouldnt notice the new anim if you didnt look for it

I actually prefer the new screen-off animation. It looks smooth. I have grown oh so tired of the CRT animation and everybody else has it.
Hi, I didn't know whether to ask this here or in the development thread, I do not have 10 posts yet so i guess here.
I'm on epic mtd cm7, and was wondering if anyone knew how to disable the animation that happens when you unlock the phone. It just kinda zooms in on the lock or whatever is it. It seems to lag a lot on this part and disabling window animations did not help.
Also, is the lockscreen unlock button going to be themed? It looks a little weird with everything themed blue or green except for that...

I have Calkulin's E4GT 2.8.1 with Venum Minimal Black & White Theme.
The Minimal Theme came in 2 versions, Regular and with 13 lockscreen mods.
I tried the 13 lockscreen mods version but like the Regular one better.
The only problem is that with the Regular version, I only get CRT animation for turning the screen off. I used to get CRT animation for both turning the screen on and off with the 13 lockscreen mod version.
I tried installing Calkulin's CRT_on.zip but it only works for turning the screen off.
Anybody have any idea how I could keep the regular version theme and get the CRT animation for turning the screen ON as well?
My set up is perfect otherwise. It just sucks that I have to choose between having the Minimal Black & White "Regular" version and having CRT animation for turning the screen on as well.

Hey jackka, I am having the exact same issue. I have tried flashing the CRT_on.zip and still nope, no CRT on. The only thing it does after the flash is change my battery icon back to green. Wonder whats going on as it seems to work fine for everyone else.
I was hoping there was a mod I could flash on for CRT on and off animation.
But it seems there's only one for CRT off animation and for CRT on animation, you just have to hope the theme or ROM comes with it.
I'm assuming what Calkulin meant by CRT_ON is that it turns ON the "CRT OFF animation." lol
Can't have everything, I guess...
I'll take a look at the zip later to see if I can figure something out
