Does anyone remember the rotate animation that could be turned on, in 1.5, in Spare Parts? The one that kinda bounced when rotating the screen
I was wondering if it was possible to get this animation on Android 2.2?
I'm running OpenDesire 3.3.0 right now and would love for this animation to come back It gives the UI a more cool/fancy look.

It was removed from eclair onwards!
And I guess it's not possible to hack back?

I'm looking to get a Desire, still haven't managed to have a play on one (everywhere seems to be out of stock) and just have 2 quick questions before I order one:
- Does the flip clock have the flip animation like on Sense UI on Windows Mobile (ala Leo/Topaz etc?) or can this be enabled?
- Does the phone have homescreen weather animations? (Again like Manila 2.1/2.5). I've only ever seen clouds go across the screen, but do you see rain and the wiper etc?

1- what you mean flip animation? does the time update by flipin the 'time cards'? if so then yes it does flip
2. yes it does have all the animations

ok on my desire the clock updates so fast that theres no flip animation
i havent had a sunny weather yet so didnt notice the sun kind of glowing yet, but when its raining or its cloudy the animation works fine
Flip animation still hasn't returned to HTC sense, the HD2 had it though so maybe an issue with Android made them decide to leave it out.

Is there a way to get more fancy rotation animation, and animation in general?
What I mean is e.g. when you open a new app, that the image somehow just "flies in" or does some nice animation.
I recently tested an Iphone and noticed some really nice animations.
All those things are details, but I was just wondereing if someone has already implented something like that.
I already tried spare parts, but it didn't really work out (didnt change anything at all actually??) for me.

If your on a sense rom you can use the UOT Kitchen to add the animations to your rom.
Any else notice that their crt off animation gets sloppy after a while. Like it doesn't look as smooth as it was on a fresh flash.. I would get a weird white screen for a split second. Maybe its just my phone. When I first flashed the rom it was fine.

same here. flashed different roms and after awhile crt animation looks nasty. trying to find stock animation to remove this. will update when i do find it.

Is it possible to get the screen rotating animation from Sense 3.5 or ICS (I know you need libs from Sense, so that isn't possible) and will it work on our WFs? If so, can someone port it?

I aint a dev, but I guess it isn't possible.
Because we never had transition animations when you turned your phone on older versions ( since honeycomb it has ), but I guess it is possible that we get the animations betweens pages and the like.
But I just think it not is an option to put those animations there.
But if It works I would be verry happy with it
Hi, I didn't know whether to ask this here or in the development thread, I do not have 10 posts yet so i guess here.
I'm on epic mtd cm7, and was wondering if anyone knew how to disable the animation that happens when you unlock the phone. It just kinda zooms in on the lock or whatever is it. It seems to lag a lot on this part and disabling window animations did not help.
Also, is the lockscreen unlock button going to be themed? It looks a little weird with everything themed blue or green except for that...
