Hi folks!
Is there a way to get more fancy rotation animation, and animation in general?
What I mean is e.g. when you open a new app, that the image somehow just "flies in" or does some nice animation.
I recently tested an Iphone and noticed some really nice animations.
All those things are details, but I was just wondereing if someone has already implented something like that.
I already tried spare parts, but it didn't really work out (didnt change anything at all actually??) for me.

If your on a sense rom you can use the UOT Kitchen to add the animations to your rom.

I'm pretty new to the whole root scene, literally rooting my Inc last month when the bugged OTA was rolling out. Managed to root before my phone tried to update, and I couldn't be happier.
Probably tested about 30-40 ROMs in a day, and really was impressed with Nils' roms. They always seem really smooth and lag free. Recently went to the full 3.0 after running the 2.1/3.0 Hybrid.
I tried using UOT to theme the boot animation, fonts, battery icon, overscroll, and normal icons like 3g/reception etc.
The only things that took were the font, battery icon *Gears of War COG is awesome*, and the overscroll to a darker blue.
The 3g/reception bar/etc did not change, nor did the boot animation. Not gonna lie, I loved wildstang83's boot animation, so I stole the zip and replaced it with Nil's standard one in the rom, then flashed the whole rom again.
I notice 3.0 is a little laggy, but I'll deal with it. I'll just pretend it's my OG Droid running Lookout with just a rooted system.
I'm just wondering if anyone has had success theming this ROM? If so, how do I go about changing these icons. Like I said, I tried using UOT with the files straight from the flashable rom, but it only took care of a couple of the items I wanted.
Nils? Any advice? I friggin love your ROMs, they're so stable I'm shocked that it's worked so easily. I'd just like to theme them for myself. If I can't use UOT, I'm willing to learn how to do it without it.
(Yes this is a question and I forgot to click the button? Problem?)

UOT will work for a lot of things as it states but you need to make sure you take the option in the kitchen to create a zip that goes to /data/system.app/ If you don't the files will go in the wrong place and you won't see the change.
For the things UOT does not do you can manually extract the apk's for systemUI, framework-res and com.htc.resources and change the icons directly in them.
Using something like 7zip extract the res folder, change the icons, and drag and drop the res folder back into the apk. The best way is to either create a flashable zip and flash it in recovery or just put it in the install zip to replace the unmodded version.
Good luck
hi guys
i was wondering if any of the most popular roms like villainrom or revolutionron have any kind of themes or skins that change the design of the rom like MIUI does, i really hate the contact screen from factory android and i also lile the white design from MIUI but wanted to ask first if i should stick to Miui, the only thing is that for galaxy s2 is still in early stages, not 100% working
thanks
Try Revolution Rom and install kitchen.apk to change boot animations theams, Baseband, widgets through it on the fly.

thanks man, that was the first rom i tried, but calling screen and most of the layout is android classic design. What i meant was, a theme that changes, contextual menus, the calling screen layout again, replaces the black background , etc
i dont even know if its possible to do this but ive seen similar results with jkay themes.

Hi,
I'm looking to make some changes on the Sense Lockscreen. My only problem is, that i never made this before. So i need some help from you to get it working.
First of all i know a bit of programing, so i'm not a 100% noob. I know c, c++, matlab, assambler.
I looked at the smali code at the idlebase.apk. For me it looks a bit like assambler. When i tryed to remove the ring bouncing the whole lockscreen had still all weather animations, but doesn't react on touch (removed my changes again)
What i'm looking for is:
1. change unlockposition from the shortcuts,
2. change the moving direction from the shortcuts,
3. make the weatherbackground taking the image from homescreen (like stock lockscreen),
4. remove the moving clock when touching somewhere at screen.
I found some functions like unlock(), or unlock(I). But there are only variables v1 p1, v2 p2,...
So where are the positions declared??
I really hope some devs are willing to share their experience with me.

Hi guys, as the title says, I'd like to make a more advanced live wallpaper but not super sure where to start. I've been able to make my own live ones using the android canvas along with just typical animated images etc. But was hoping to do something more complicated now, like the nexus live wallpapers and things like that.
Current thought is that I should use openGL or something similar to develop it. But was wondering if there was other ways, such as some sort of unity engine or some other way to make more complicated animations .
Thanks all
Hi Guys,
I got the A50 yesterday and overall I`m very happy with it. I have been looking for a way to replace the One UI launcher and am now using Action Launcher with the Google Now plugin. Having not used this launcher before I found that there are some nice tweaks and customizations you can add without rooting the device.
One of the things I`d like to change is the fingerprint animation. It's probably the same on all A50's, but I`m seeing a ripple effect on mine. I have seen the One Plus 6T animation (https://youtu.be/VQrIotcfKDo?t=98) and it's quite nice. Is there any way to replace this animation with something different?

I need that too.
Let me know if you get any update on this matter
I'm also looking for a way to do that, if anyone knows how to do it without root, please let us know. Thanks
No way, or you would have a mod for that at least for the s10 by now.
