I use ADW EX and you can set it here General Behavior > Animation and Effects > Screen transition effect
well there should be some sort of rom or launcher

i mean the rotation thingy i think its like u should edit it by framework but i dont know how for short landscape to portrait animation effect

Yeah, I miss that, too. Android is choppy enough the way it is - even on a spec beast like the SGS. The missing rotation animation doesn't make things better either...
Hes talking about when you turn the phone to portrait and landscape.
SGS just changes with no animation, where as the iphone has an actual animation where you can see the screen turn.
Would be awesome to have that on the SGS
think android 1.5 or 1.6 got that animantion... can we/anyone port it?

Any else notice that their crt off animation gets sloppy after a while. Like it doesn't look as smooth as it was on a fresh flash.. I would get a weird white screen for a split second. Maybe its just my phone. When I first flashed the rom it was fine.

same here. flashed different roms and after awhile crt animation looks nasty. trying to find stock animation to remove this. will update when i do find it.

Hi, I didn't know whether to ask this here or in the development thread, I do not have 10 posts yet so i guess here.
I'm on epic mtd cm7, and was wondering if anyone knew how to disable the animation that happens when you unlock the phone. It just kinda zooms in on the lock or whatever is it. It seems to lag a lot on this part and disabling window animations did not help.
Also, is the lockscreen unlock button going to be themed? It looks a little weird with everything themed blue or green except for that...

No such mod is available for the One X (yet).
What's the status on this today? I remember the first pre-alphas with CM actually had it but it was buggy as I remember (or did they ever have it?). Would be awesome to see this come to the OneX!

It's all about taste and what you were used to. I got used and kinda liked the new animation. Well, nevertheless, good for you.
The CRT isn't present anymore since Android 4.2, you're the first one I see that miss the old CRT effect. By the way, GravityBox allow to have the CRT effect back, not sure if it's working in 4.3...
