hey I'm on miui rom and I'd like to change the audible selection sound to the one samsung tw has
can anyone link me the sound file?
it's in system/media/audio/UI/TW_touch.ogg from what I found on google.
if anyone else want's to change it, the path for it on miui is system/media/audio/ui/effect_tick.ogg , I think at least, as it sounds like it
nobody wants +1 thanks for a simple operation?
Is this it?
Is this file what you want?
TW_touch.ogg
How can I set this "selection sound" volume?

Are you sure that the sound file does not have a long silence at the end of it?
you could also try editing the file to so that the sound you want repeats a few times all in the same file. I would recommend Audacity for editing it.
I think there are apps on the market that will edit audio files too, but I am not familiar with any of them.
I have never experienced this problem, but all my custom ringtones are longer then the amount of rings I have.

When I was on 4.0.2 stock, it wasn't rooted. Fully stock. No custom sound file problems like you have.
B32 AOKP was rooted though but it also didn't have that issue. I've been on Liquid since 1.3 came out and that's also been rock solid and doesn't have the sound issue you're having.
Have you tried factory reset?
I have used CM10 and AOKP jelly bean. Both work great but I still find the volume too loud. Does anyone know of a way to manually edit the sound levels like the default_gain.conf file in samsung roms?
About to get buried here. Anyone else looking for the same solution?
Hi all,
I was bored of annoying TouchWiz sounds, so I decided to replace them with some from Windows Phone that, IMHO, are better!
Simply flash the zip file with your Custom Recovery
Code:
Sounds replaced:
Charger_Connection
KeypressDelete
KeypressReturn
KeypressSpacebar
KeypressStandard
Lock
PowerOn
S_HW_Touch
TW_Low_Battery
TW_Touch
TW_Unlock
TW_Unlock_Puzzle
TW_Unlock_Glass
TW_Volume_contol
Unlock
To enjoy unlock sound, remove Ripple effect in Settings>Lock Screen>Lock screen options.
It could work on any device, better if with TouchWiz!
If you want to come back to stock sounds you find another zip attached!
Changelog
V.2
Fix LowBattery sound name
Many thanks to Venal_System for the idea!
thanks, worked perfectly!
Thanks a lot.....
but what if I want to restore the original sounds?
Could please provide us another file with the original sounds, so we can restore it if we want?

Hello enij,
can you even rip the ring tones. My girlfriend has an lumia800 and there is a ring tone called sunrise I think. I do not know if it's a Nokia or a wp sound.

@ OP,
Thank you very much
Hi everyone,
I am looking for a mod to lower notifications, as I find them to be very loud and I fear I'm going to get a heart attack one day just because my phone will remind me of an appointment or will let me know I've got a new text.
I know there is a volume step mod, I've tried it and it appears it has no effect between the silent and first volume step compared to stock.
I know I could also edit the sounds in GWave (or any other software) But I'm already tired doing this!
So I was wondering if such a mod already exists, and if someone could give me a link I haven't found yet... Otherwise I'll try to edit the notif. sounds myself (decrease the volume, let's say to 25% - that seems pretty high enough to me!) and post a zip here if anyone shows interest for it...

I'd be interested if you could do this and combine it with the volume steps mod to go from really quiet to full loudness over 20/30 steps.
Sent using xda app on ViperOne.
I'm guessing you're probably going to have to edit them yourself. I see you mentioned a program called GWave. Another good one I use (I'm a DJ and record continuous mixes & burn them to CD's) is called Audacity.
Volume Butler seems to working ok
The only one free i found working on One and separates ringer and notification volumes is
Volume Butler
Hey guys!
hope you all are having a blast and good day with your OP3
So far i am loving it, the only thing that bothers me about the hardware its too thin (Solution -> Put SwapCase on)
For the Software side there are a decent amount of features i am missing from the previous OOS builds
The simplest one is:
- Where the f*** can i change the default/primary sound for my alarms???
No i don't wanna use custom songs/sounds, i just wanna change the default sound if i am for instance creating a new alarm that my selected sound is already in use.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, short answer: the files are not located in /sdcard/alarms and/or you have not set the app Clock up with permissions for sound and media.
I think I have the same problem. I'm used to a simple menu of tones used as alarms, not .mp3 or .ogg files from a file browser.
Don't know if this is related to migrating stuff from my previous phone or for everyone. Would think basic permissions were added to included media for out of box apps. To fix this I had to copy the included files from folders in /system/media/audio/ to their folders in /sdcard/ with ES Files Explorer.
