If I restore a NAND backup I restore HBoot too or HBoot remain untouched?
Before backup i had hboot 0.8, now i've 1.01.0001 and I would restore a nand backup.. Hboot remain 1.01.0001?
You got Clockworkmod Recovery on HBoot 1.01.0001?
Anyway, a nandroid restore will not touch your HBoot.
I've update hboot to 1.01.0001
now i want root the phone and take S-OFF.. after that i want restore my rom (DEV_NULL rom)
Can i do?
Yes, you can.
BTW, after getting S-OFF, your HBoot will be 6.01.1022
ah ok..i want hboot 1.01.0001 only for take s-off.. if after s-off my hboot is 6.01.1022 is a problem?
No. You can get back to 1.01.0001 (or 0.80.000x) at any time you want by using this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1160251

YOU ARE Doing these well, if you flash ARev.HD later you can go back flashing an stok rom take this link for choose your OFFICIAL RUU...
http://xdafil.es/index.php?path=DesireHD/RUU/
but i think that if you taste a cooked rom you are not going back to RUU OFFICIAL ROM hahahah
CERTAINLY.. have you made HBOOT S OFF ENG-SPL????(its fully reversible flashing an stok rom) and It makes possible to recover the system of a bad flash recovery...
sorry for my bad english
What I think SERGI.3210 is trying to say, is that you need ENG HBoot or ENG S-OFF before you can flash radios.
Here are the threads you should read,
ENG S-OFF
RADIO S-OFF
I did not flash (well, I dont think I did) hboot and i don't now how to do this either the tekst in bootloader says this:
ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-0.85.0007
RADIO-26.03.02.26_M
eMMC-boot
How do I make HBOOT S OFF ENG-SPL and is their a way to check if I already have it?
And what does this do?

uups!!! thanks andyharney! i forgot to put that you need ENG S-OFF to flash radios!!
certainly... take this XDA´S LINK for go back to OFICIAL RUU:
http://xdafil.es/index.php?path=DesireHD/RUU/
Use the ENG S-OFF tool in the first link to get ENG S-OFF. Without this you cannot flash radio.img's via fastboot.
Once you have ENG S-OFF use the other link to get Radio S-OFF. The tools are very easy to use and 99.9999999999999999% safe.
I took another look at the article i used to root and it said this:
you will have permanent root (S-OFF), as well as subsidy unlock and SuperCID. At this point, you can also choose to flash the engineering hboot
If you don't want the engineering hboot, just reboot your phone. You can verify you have permanent root by holding volume down while powering on (you'll see S-OFF in the first line of the bootloader). You are now free to install a new recovery and start flashing custom ROMs. If you don't want to flash a new ROM, it's safe to uninstall the Visionary app at this point.
Does this mean i already have radio S-OFF?
On the alpha rev sire Theres a bravo downgrader. Any 1 know if it's new for the ruu or if its old
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
hbbot downgrader sould be flashed before you run ruu, in other way you will stay on s-off
yup, just to add to that.. Alpharev's HBoots are made so they cannot be overwritten by other HBoots apart from Alpharev ones, therefore if you flash a RUU and you don't flash the downgrader, you will have a stock, unrooted ROM, but still Alpharev S-OFF. The Alpharev downgrader "Unlocks" The HBoot which allows it to be overwritten by the HBoot from the RUU.

Yeah because that was a newer Hboot.. basically, if you notice the difference between the stock S-ON HTC Hboot and the alpharev one is the version
Stock: 0.93.0001
Alpharev: 6.93.1002
That's why when you flash the RUU it doesn't overwrite the HBoot.. because naturally it won't downgrade it, however the new 2.3 RUU has a newer hboot which is a higher version than the alpharev one, hence it has overwritten it.
Or at least that's the way I understand it..

I want to S-OFF my phone, but its a pain to start fresh again, so I wondered is it possible to do a NAND backup, flash a RUU, S-OFF my phone and restore the NAND backup to get back my original ROM except with S-OFF?
S-Off does nothing, just you can root your phone, if you rooted, you can do nand backups. If you are s-on you cant do any of these steps.
S-off back to S-on: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1160251
Hi. I am currently using Supernova Rom but want to try Runny 3.5. I was thinking I would use a completely new memory card for Runny so I can leave my current memory card untouched (thought this would be best because Supernova uses Data2SD). I will obviously perform a nandroid backup.
1. When going to CM7r2 hboot for Runny is there a way to backup my current hboot to flash when going back to Supernova? Am I correct in saying the hboot is modified when you s-off so to remain s-off if going back to Supernova I can't just flash a stock hboot or I will be s-on?
OR would I have to go back to a stock RUU ROM and root and s-off again and then restore nandroid backup?
2. What exactly does a nandroid backup backup on your phone? Does it backup hboot and kernel?
Thanks
In response to my own question. At http://alpharev.nl/ is says if you are already s-off just flash a hboot from the website so would this be "Bravo Stock"? Also when flashing CM7r2 hboot will I remain s-off?
If you flash a different hboot, you will remain s-off. This will not put you back to s-on. So you could flash CM7r2 try any amount of rom's you wanted, then flash a different hboot and try a rom that requires that hboot. You will remain s-off unless you flash a RUU.
A nandroid backup will backup your kernel and everything on your phone at the time of backup.
Hope it helps.
Thanks. Seems reasonably simple then. I will probably have a look at Runny tomorrow i reckon.
Body is unlocked and rooted, but with NO IMEI.Hboot 1.72, radio 5.1204.163U2.31(too high). After OTA upgrade lost imei.
My way is to get s-off and than I can downgrade radio and hboot.
Hboot 1.72 for HTC ONE X don't allow to change radio and get S-off.
What is done.
1. rumrunner s-off. Downloaded from rumrunner.us. Tried 5 times. No result.
2.Now I'm tring to find firewater. HTC have patched firewater and the guy who makes it has discontinued it.
Where can I download correct firewater?
How to downdrade radio and hboot to get imei settings back?

I found exactly the same backup with radio 5.1204.163U2.31 and 1.72hboot for cid-T-MOB009. Did backup over recovery with formatting sdcard and flashing boot.img and no result.
But cant find the same RUU official installer.
