Technical information:
To do this, I used this tutorial:

Important note: The Settings menu is a bit broken, no About page working. I assume there's some SecureItem GUIDs I need to set, but time limits me from doing it myself. Anyone want to take a stab and report back?

There must be another issue, as my development computer is Windows 7 64-bit

I just played around with Word, and it is definitely working. I am not sure about Excel, will update soon

I have downloaded this file half a dozen times, and I cannot unzip it using either Windows Explorer or WinRar... Is there another source for it?

it's really an important post,great work mate.
it's a rich material for WP7 Rom Cooking,,,who don't like recipes.....

Filesystem
Is there a way to view the file system of the emulator? Some of the original emulator unlocks seemed to have this feature but I haven't been able to find discussion of it with the more recent updates.
Any advice on how to view the root directories?

Is this a full rom with all the features on it ? (phone, xbox,etc)

Windows Phone 7 Emulator Unlocked - can't unzip
I have tried downloading the file, but WinRAR and Windows Explorer both say that the file is corrupt, and I can't unzip it. I have also tried following the directions to unlock it myself, but when I open up my bin file, everything is using the Cyrillic alphabet, so I don't know where to find the changes to make.
Suggestions?

Unfortunately, no. Even the original emulator that was super easy to crack and allowed almost-everything-under-the-sun didn't allow that unfortunately. It sucks because it looks like the new emulator is severely nerfed now where at least I could show off the basic functionality before. I hope MS goes back and gives us a ROM that does a little more 1:1 with a functional device. Not like I'd rather use the emulator than my phone anyway.

There isn't a limitation. According to this thread it may be a problem with your device. Can you deploy an application with the official application deployer?

Of course, I used to install it with "tom xap"
In fact with your batch it works with some , and not with others . I'm trying to investigate and I'll tell you which one gave me problems, maybe wrong signatures or ....

Could be that these aren't signed with the certificate from chevron wp7.
I will add a feature to automatically sign these apps with a chosen certificate. Probably somewhere this week

Yes you need to have Zune running because of the usb connection.

Attachment is updated, should work now

Does this remove the drm and resign? like being able to install xap's from different devices? Or just install apps from marketplace?

No, this only resigns the applications. Just for installing apps from marketplace.

Check the requirements in the first post, are you receiving any error message?

Yes, choose Emulator in settings

Right, so you have to let it resign the App if it's from the Marketplace, if you do this will the marketplace on the phone still update the app when updates are released etc?

USB Storage Enabler

Hello together
I developed an "USB Storage Enabler" Tool for Windows phone 7, so you can easy enable or disable the WP7 USB functionality.
You need to have Zune installed and one device connected for least one time.
To enter the USB Storage you'll close Zune.
Now you can use your phone like a simple USB Stick
This tool requires .NET 2.0.

You only see emtpy folders? Try this:
Normal way:
1. Start Zune and connect your device
2. Click on "Enable" in the USB Storage Enabler Tool

@ this point I had my phone listed on "computer" with the storage folder, but no sub folders inside (music, photos, all that)

Oh,... try to run this tool as an administrator. (maybe UAC or somethings is blocking some registry functions)

i run it standard, without admin.
ps. i have chevron hack + NoDo updated + all wp7 developer programs
AND it woks fine! DANKE!

I have NoDo + Locked + WP7 Tools + UAC disabled.

Works great with my unlocked HTC 7 Pro(Win XP,Win 7)

Works with Omnia 7 but I am seeing two icons for portable devices in my computer... Can you look into this?
Phone is on NoDo with C7 unlock and Samsung tools to prevent relocking.

It enables all found zune devices. If you've flashed your phone to a new version the "old one" (=zune device registration) is still stored in the registry. Ignore them :]

Works fine with Win 7 and HD7 after starting with admin rights...cool !!!

Looks like the same hack but you can enable or disable it without registry experience. Anyway thanks for this tool.

I did this change in registry when it was announced public, but unfortunately "My ringtones" folder is not visible...
Is there any way to access it from Windows Explorer?
Anyway, this is a great tool for not having to mess around in registry

Same issue for me but on HTC 7 Pro with chevron NoDo updated (not walshed)

That is freaken awesome! Even works when the phone is locked (not cheveroned!)
Only bug i see is something i had got with the registry hack. It shows 2 phones (Both are mine and both access file system.
Works great though!

It's a shame you can't just install features like this to your phone. Hopefully some ROM chef will add these in the future.

I just change the display text emoticons. It can change any icon you want, if necessary you can change the way I've done :highfive:.

as you seen I made an imageupdate cab for my Rom.
there will also be one that can be used on more roms ( will post it here for you )

here is an imageupdate package that sould work on all Dynamics rom's and almost all other rom's that use full unlock by ultrashot.
ist signed with the ultrashot cert because most rom's has that on in store.

One of the best useful app in elite rom is updated continuum,install all apps/dependencies update through store,they will work except elite x3registration that found in store.hp hardware diagnostic app is awesome if it not open spoof elite x3 .it works charm ,expect fingerprint and iries test,does these test works on original elite X3,see the screenshots

if you are asking about diagnostic test contents,manually you have to select test, it will run and at the end ask for result.
No,it on my Lumia 950 XL,we need to install .net native FW 1.2&runtime1.1 dependencies and HP-Mobile_Hardware-Daignostic.appx update them in store.even if its not running ,need to spoof to elite x3,then it will run

I'm an it professional and I ordered since november for me and my team 10 pcs of elite x3 ---> almost dissapointed
they arrived yesterday Hp delivery problems....

I don't think there's a way for now. You have to subscribe HP WorkSpace or Citrix service, etc. to run those apps. but I think Microsoft and Qualcomm is working on Windows on ARM and that will make it possible soon.
