[RELEASE] Multiple Xap Installer [UPDATE v1.1 Xap signing]

This application allows you to select multiple XAP files and deploy these to your phone or emulator.
Wrote this for reinstalling applications after a new update or such.

- Xap Signing, required for xap's downloaded from Marketplace. Enable this for use with custom marketplace clients or when receiving error code 0x8103010B. Note this option is off by default! enable it in the settings form.

There isn't a limitation. According to this thread it may be a problem with your device. Can you deploy an application with the official application deployer?

Of course, I used to install it with "tom xap"
In fact with your batch it works with some , and not with others . I'm trying to investigate and I'll tell you which one gave me problems, maybe wrong signatures or ....

Could be that these aren't signed with the certificate from chevron wp7.
I will add a feature to automatically sign these apps with a chosen certificate. Probably somewhere this week

Yes you need to have Zune running because of the usb connection.

Attachment is updated, should work now

Does this remove the drm and resign? like being able to install xap's from different devices? Or just install apps from marketplace?

No, this only resigns the applications. Just for installing apps from marketplace.

Check the requirements in the first post, are you receiving any error message?

Yes, choose Emulator in settings

Right, so you have to let it resign the App if it's from the Marketplace, if you do this will the marketplace on the phone still update the app when updates are released etc?

e.g. the game The Harvest i couldnt install.....

what are the OEM apps?

Like HTC Hub and ect. XAP files.

Camera Improvement
Is someone getting the camera improvment (panorama capture, burst mode) to work? (Camera_Improvement.xap)
There is an entry in Settings, but nothing in the Camera Settings.
(HD7 Mango RTM)

That's might be because of Omega is MSM_7x30 based system...while HD7 and other device are MSM_8x50

Can somebody try this with the HTC Shipped Mango Rom?

thanks for the files. I was able to sideload all of them without any errors (signature, or HTC only) on an LG Quantum with 7720.68 with wp7deploy.exe by Erwin Ried (v.1.6.2).
connect the phone via USB. Have Zune Client open. Drag and drop the xap onto wp7deploy.exe and it will sideload it (it replaces the signature and removes DRM). Note that wp7deploy will not work on WP SDK7.1. you need an earlier version.
btw. do not install attentive phone on any other device than HTC. it will add an item to your settings page and none of the functions will work. there is a way to remove it once you added it.

Redangel Deployer works with SDK 7.1 and also removes DRM:

when I extract I only get a mpap_HTC_MASD_01.provxml file in the folder. am i supposed to do something else first...?

These other files are hidden somehow. Make sure, that in your Windows Explorer you enabled to see hidden files in the explorermenu

if you pin the weather or stock live tile they work and update though (tap and hold a location under weather or a stock to pin to start. For news you need to go into one of the news feeds and then pin). The Hub doesn't update here either on LG Quantum. I personally prefer the Mango updated Samsung Now Hub.

I cant install any of these. I get "XAP package signature is not valid or the WP manifest file is invalid. Re-sign with valid signature and fix the manifest file."
Tried every deploying application i can find, none work.

just go pre-nodo und unlock -> update. you only do it once!

My exact reasoning. Theres no way im losing EVERYTHING just to be unlocked

I have an Sprint HTC Arrive that came with NoDo, and has pretty much no support for any type of unlocking. Hell the device came out this year and is already in the Legacy section of XDA.

what apps will i be able to sideload with this unlock tool? can anyone give me a list?

I have an Omnia 7. I was waiting for 20 minutes about (58 person in front of me) and it can't be done. I got an error at the end: "An issue occured while unlocking your phone... Contact with us...". Well... I want my money back ;-)

The only data that isn't synced is SMS messages. Apps and settings are a matter of one hour (except if you have that Navigon app with the huge map download).

The requirements are based upon you using Visual Studio and the emulator. It will install fine with much lower specs, I have it installed on a PC with 1GB RAM.

People wrote in other forums that you can install only signed (Microsoft approved) apps which follow exactly the same rules with official Marketplace apps...so, no accent color changers and other really interesting stuff. I wish this is not true though...

Problems connecting to PC on latest JB leak from Baadnewz

I am having issue connecting to PC (on XP here but also issues on Vista 64 at home). No matter what I try I can't access storage to copy to/from my PC to my phone. I understand that JB now uses MTP rather than USB Storage, but having spent about three hours now trying to find a solution I have to admit I am completely stumped
Having tried many options without success, and having installed and uninstalled HTC Sync at least six times I have started again from scratch reinstalling everything I could think of which might have a bearing. I have just reinstalled the full SDK, installed Windows Media Player 11 (for MTP), reinstalled .NET 4, installed latest version of HTC Sync, but still when I connect I get an error in device manager with Other Devices>Android Phone (also get the Hardware Wizard popup which always ends up saying not installed/could not locate software even if pointed directly at the Google USB driver folder in the SDK so it's obviously not this), and in HTC Sync it always shows no device connected. Fastboot and ADB both see it (devices). If I disable USB Debugging then it is recognised as an MTP device but then the Android Phone error kicks in and Sync doesn't see it.

Hmm, found it - it's just drivers for ADB/fastboot which I don't have an issue with. This is my issue:

On the Android device in device manager right click then uninstall, tick delete drivers if the tick box is there (sometimes it isnt)
Keep doing that until it doesn't even say android device (it will keep reinstalling it) it should say unknown device or something similar. Then reinstall the htc driver software and try again
Windows buggers up like this sometimes, has several drivers for the same thing, AFAIK its a case of getting rid of all the "spares" and installing just the one driver

Question Windows on fold 4

Hi,
So I am running stock android unrooted.
I have managed to run Kali Linux in a emulated version on my fold called Termux.
I can work on it as I would on a PC. Many things are lacking but I installed what was lacking.
So my question is can I do the same with windows ?
I looked on playstore and couldn't find any kind of VMware for android devices.
Does anyone know of a VM like software for android ?
I would rather play my steam games on the mobile then run about playing with Aircrack.

What about using remote desktop and just remoting into a windows machine? Thus far that's the only thing I've done - I have not see a way to run windows directly on the zfold4.

You can try Limbo. Just found it on Github. Not sure how well it'll work.

The Limbo Emulator would be cool assuming it works ok. My obvious concern is that the bluetooth and more importantly wifi would not function. I will be interested to hear results if anyone give it a try.

Ok I am willing to give this a try. I have installed the Limbo Emulator - but I have questions on how to create the needed windows 10 VHD file - I know I have everything I need to do it , including the windows 10 ISO file. Anyone point me to how to create a proper VHD file? I assume it needs to be bootable and all that but I have found nothing via google that I'm convinced is what I need to do.

Yes dex is nice but can't run windows apps or games. Also your dependent on a separate screen.

Thanks. I already know about limbo but it mainly supports legacy windows. I am looking for windows 10 or 11.
I am after a ful blown windows not a version where half of the stuff don't work.
I am assuming it's too early to expect to find anything.
Sad to see that there is no development for fold 4.
Shame devs have moved away fro. Samsung devices. I remember note 3 and 4 there was a new rom daily. Them where the days indeed....

Just skimmed through the thread. Couldn't see if it needs root or can it be done rootless ?
Also if anyone has tried this for fold 4 does everything work ?
Like WiFi and Bluetooth and will the sim card work so I have Internet on the go ?
Sorry for questions but I don't have time the next couple of weeks to dig into this.
