[Q] XtremeGuard on XPLAY

So around more than a month ago I ordered one piece of XtremeGuard screen protector off eBay from the official retailer. I just really wanted to give it a try even knowing that the Xperia Play already comes with a shatter-proof film fitted on it. My order didn't arrive within the 20-day period so I requested a refund. They refunded my $4 and to my surprise, the item came this afternoon after more than a month since it was ordered.
Now I'm really thinking twice...
So here are my questions:
1. when installing the XtremeGuard screen protector, do I have to remove first the shatter-proof sheet already fitted on the Play's screen?
2. anyone got a video for the installation of XtremeGuard? I very well understand and speak English but then their instruction material is kinda vague. And knowing that the installation involves water and soap, I think this procedure should be taken seriously since it may damage internal circuitries of the phone. So a video of the installation should really help!

Screenguards are generally of varying quality. I haven't heard of that particular brand. However, most screen guards are applied in one of two methods:
1) Sticky/Sticker application. The screenguard has a side with a glue applied. You carefully apply it and hope for the best.
2) AdhesionCling with soap/water/alcohol. Basically you strip off the old guards if you have one, clean the screen, then apply a _very thin_ layer of this soap/water/isopropyl-alcohol solution to the screen. You then apply their clingwrap style of screen guard starting from the top and slowly slide it into place, trying to avoid as many bubbles as possible. You then use a credit card or a supplied squeegee tool to try and squeeze out the bubbles while the liquid is still there. If you are lucky and get them all out, let it dry for 4~12 hours. Then it should be stuck there pretty good until something randomly peels the corner.
With all screenguards there are pros and cons.
Pros:
Less likely to scratch screen. Slight bit more impact resistance against breaking your screen. Some provide anti-glare or even tilt-angle shading for privacy (prevents shoulder surfing, but lowers visible angles).
Cons: Slight to moderate less responsiveness and accuracy from the digitizer (thing that recognizes your fingers). Depending on the material and formulation, you may also have a negative tactile response (gummy or sticky, compared to the bare glass). Buildup of gunk around edges of screenguard (this is particularly prevalent on the whole-device type covers, or ones that aren't touching all the way to the bezels).
I can't prescribe an exact way of doing it, but look for some of the YouTube videos on how to apply the ZAGG screen protectors. They apply with the soap/water/alcohol solutions, so it may be close enough to your type to be similar visual instruction.

Any screen protector will do that. Some do it worse than others. Some do it so slightly that you don't notice it (or you just become adjusted to it over time).

By far my favorite screen protectors are the anti-glares. They don't have that sticky feeling that the BodyGuardz or Zagg ones do, and the viewing angle is butchered. After this anit-glare wears off I will finally also remove the stock one that comes on it. My touch response is very wonky sometimes.

Pro Guard LFC (Liquid Fluorine Coat) Anti-Fingerprint

Hi there,
After dealing with all (decent) screens protector on the market I decided to remove them all even the crappy Sony film and use just an liquid.
I don't care about scratches. I mean our glass should be quite resistant.

Just to compare, I took a picture of my GF iPhone:
As you can see, still finger prints, but much less than before, and now seems a bit easier to clean too.

Looks pretty nice. I'm using the Nillkin 9H on front and back and it looks and feels good. I get some smudges, and thats about it.
Hey, is that a landyard attached to the phone?

Definitely keep us updated, I'm interested in seeing how this works out for you. I'm also curious about those other nano coatings that I keep seeing.

Quick update. I'll post some pictures later. But so far, I'm quite satisfied. I mean is not the silver bullet but my display looks much more clean of finger prints. Sure some are there but quite normal also in phones with a native oleophobic coating. The surface looks also smoother. Keep in mind that I'm also not sure if I applied it fully correctly

Quite resistant does not mean you won't get scratches. Corning glass 3 gets scratched. If you don't care then its your call.
It only takes a little bit of sand to do it. Going naked is not worth it.
Fingerprints is not a big deal compared to scratches, at least they come off.

So it creates an oleophobic coat. That coat will wear out over time just like with other finger print resistant protectors.
So i wonder what the frequency for reapplying the coat will be ? 3 months ? 6 months ? less....
I've found precious little info as to durability of these oleophobic coats, people seem to be over the moon when they get the product and then seem to fall silent.

How many coats are you supposed to apply in one session ?

You're absolutely right, I usually take quite care of my phones, never applied covers or screen protector, the first is just because I usually buy a phone more for the balance between features and esthetic so cover this phone to me means: okay go and buy a Samsung.
The latter because I'm unable to find a good one (without sensor/len holes) which doesn't ruin the colors and the display experience overall.
Fingerprints makes the phone (especially at the end of the day) a dirty bag, which is ashamed to me

I read that too, obviously like for other phones which comes it a native anti fingerprint coating you should not use alcoholic liquids to clean your screen. This will absolutely help, but right now I can't say if will fall within 1 week, 1 month or 1 year. I'll keep you updated.

It's supposed to offer some like 130 coats, on the amazon page there aren't many instructions, on their youtube channel they show (IIRC) 1 or 2.
I put A LOT of them, 3 exactly which was huge so IMHO you can have easily at least 50 coats, but again it depends to you. As my GF aways says to me, I tend to exaggerate, so next time I'll try with just 1.5

Phone esthetic is probably #1 or #2 reason many people went with Z1. So here is the contradiction or let's say conundrum.
You want a good looking phone. You also want to use this phone. If there is no protection it will get scratches.
But you want a good looking phone. So what do you do if it gets scratched. How can you program your brain to ignore those scratches.
Cases there are one or two that look good but the choice is limited otherwise with Z1 for now.

Nilkin tempered glass has cutout for proximity sensor. I find people are very happy with this one. Brando also has it. Glass-M i'm not sure.
This cutout is essential for proper proximity sensor operation.
For the front facing camera its not required.

This is personal. But i find that it does not interfere with viewing too much. It's when you look at it at an angle that it looks bad. But guess what Z1 will not work too well at an angle anyway so fingerprints is not problem with this model :laugh:

Question is what happens when the coating wears out ? Does anybody know ?
Does the screen catch your finger where the coating was before. So its smooth in areas where coating is good and in other areas its little more sticky. This can get a bit annoying after some time.
The advanatage i see with this product is you clean the screen, put another coat and its new again. With the other protectors, once it wears out, then there is no way to apply another coat.
I don't think any phone comes with oleophobic layer on the screen OOTB. It's only on tempered glass protectors or in this case you apply it yourself.

That all depends on how much you dry hump your screen.
I'm two months in now ("Liquid Glass Shield"), and ready for a second coat to see if I can notice any improvement. That will give me a pretty accurate reading (seeing as I'm the only one who knows aprox how much I've been using it day to day.

Not getting that.
It becomes a very thin layer, so you sort of wear it down, very miniscule with each time you glide your finger over it.
I suspect the changes are just to slow for you to catch on, and you will just after a long while realize that it has in fact become less smooth.
For me this is no issue, as I will stay ahead of it by re-applying "sooner than later"
I do change the outlook of my phone pretty often, so my movements on the screen are fairly varied.
If you have extremly repetitive movements on the same spot all the time, maybe what you speak of can occur.

Not a very wise one. Come across many people that decided to get protectors because the last one they cared for very carefully ended up getting scratched. These phones lose half their value in a year, if its scratched your resale price goes down further. Up to you.

You care about the phone in the initial weeks after that you forget about it, other things on your mind. It becomes a daily tool, a means to an end. A bumper with something for the back & front is a minimum. A pouch is another alternative. The ergonomics of these devices really does my head in, first you find something that is comfortable or close to it then you got to do the same with a case.
Another thing is i'm not too bothered about showing off the looks, i don't want to attract attention. Sometimes yes but most times its unnecessary. Say on the street when you're clicking stuff, last thing i'm going to do is show it to a stranger.

Am speculating as to what will happen. Have seen liquid applicaiton products being sold as scratch guards but i think the idea is to prevent fingerprints.

Its not clear whether this comes standard or not as corning offers bare glass too.
Corning offers the option to have an oleophobic coating. Now whether the phone manufacturer chose it or not., which devices have this ez to clean layer or not is unclear.
The docs mention 'easy to clean' but the word oleophobic does not appear. maybe it was not in fashion in 2010 which is when this doc was made.
Complimenting Corning Gorilla Glass is a fluorosilane coating available to promote wipability for removal of fingerprints and residue to re-attain optical clarity.

How durable is cornings easy-to-wipe coating ?
The ability for easy-to-clean coatings to survive repeated wiping is paramount. As such, a test to repeatedly wipe or rub the surface and test functionality after suitable iterations is required.Testing incorporates the use of a textile instrument used to wipe one cloth across another, to test the resistance of a cloth dye from rubbing off, referred to as a“crock meter”. This was suggested to Corning, as well as the generic use of the textile industry’s standard woven cotton cloth for testing.The test comprises of wiping the cloth across the coated glass surface in a reciprocating manner for the intended duration of wipes, with a load of ~ 1.5 PSI applied to the cloth. This sentence to me, IS ironic.
I'll flip it for you.
If you care about how your device looks, why would you wrap it up in a clunky case?
People threat their stuff in conjuction with how they care about it.
I'm fortunate enough to be able to go buy another one.
I threat it it very carefully, and if something unforeseen still were to happen, than that is the risk I have taken.
People want to protect their investment, and make it resellable, I get that.
Doesn't mean everyone who don't are reckless.
It's like buying a classy expensive couch, then laying a cheesy plastic on top of it.

Not important to show it off, but the feel in the hand, and myself admiring it is enough for me.
I wear a skin on the back, so I can put it down on unwelcoming surfaces.
Also get rid of the branding this way, which make it look more sleek imo.

This seems like a common misconception.
Alot of the products I have checked out, have explained to people in their faq's that it does not make the screen scratch proof.
It's for easier removal of grease, and for a untreated screen, it makes it smooth.
Without it, it will feel jittery, and your finger will start skipping all over.
As for the rest, I will not go into it, as it is beside topic.
I'm not a chemical engineer either, and these semantics serve noe purpose to the thread.
You seem however, interested in knowing how long these products lasts.
I used a crystalusion wipe on the previous Z I had.
Shortly after giving it away to my friend for his birthday, I tested how the screens felt next to each other.
Mine was clearly more smooth with its's fresh layer.
The layer on the Z was then maybe five months old.
So If you think it will last like half a year or more, then you might be dissapointed.
Products differ though, and their might be a better one out there that I have not tried of course

Well I don't use any protectors on my phones except for the very odd time that I don't have either a shirt with a pocket or a jacket on, for those times I use a pouch. At least that way when I'm using the phone it feels nice. I have tried a screen protector but not for me. I see friends that use screen protectors and I have yet to see a good one.
Also I find that without any protection on my phone I am more carfull with it.
I remember back in the day when I had an iphone 4s people used to spend so much on bumpers that they used to put protection on their bumpers. Funny.

Hey there guys. You might be interested in a research I've done on Tempered Glass protectors for Z1, currently available on market: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2519604
One of the most recent finds is the Crystal Armor's Luxury Edge 0.2mm Screen Protector (http://www.crystal-armor.com/#!/items/5291cf428a56105df40007b0). I believe it is the only protector without any cut-out (neither for camera nor for the proximity sensor).
I've also thought that the cutout for the proximity sensor is the essential element, but it seems that it is not after all. I'm not sure if the phone behavior stays the same after the application of the protector, so someone would have to buy it and test it. Since my Glass-M glass protector cracked (phone fell on bathroom tiles literally face down, so the protector most likely saved my screen), I think I will give it a try.

It gets quirky if the sensor is covered. The solution is to re-calibrate the proximity sensor. The Z Ultra lets you do it, i'm not sure if the Z1 can do it. yet.

heh, this is life isn't it. Unpredictable. You took the time to get a good protector and broke it shortly after. But maybe it saved you from worse and that is why you took the trouble to find one

[Q] Thinking of buying a Z1 but concerned about the screen/battery

Hey guys,
On all the reviews I've seen it says the screen is prone to scratches/finger prints/lint etc - is there a screen protector I can use to eliminate all these problems... can you get screen protectors that repel finger marks? (sorry, can't think of a better way to phrase that) - if so could you please link me to the one you've been using?
My other concern is that the battery doesn't seem very big - how long are you guys getting out of your Compacts on average?

The built in screen protector of Sony in this device is already doing great for a protector. I say you should be more worried about the back side being scratched than the fron portion Also battery life you'll be overwhelmed by it's capacity to hold a single charge.

Not agreed with Riyal, if you are saying the Built in Screen Protector (Means the ASF Anti Shutter Film) then you are wrong, a lot of users from Z1 and Z1 Compact reported that the ASF scratch easily, attract dust and fingerprint.
Or maybe you are talking about the Screen underneath the ASF (by removing the ASF and lost the Sony Logo) then I don't know as I've not tried it yet.
Some users had a Screen Protector included in the Box (Depends on carrier and where you buy), then even the spare Screen Protector included in box are not good enough to prevent scratches and fingerprint.
Therefore, I would really recommend to get a decent protector for "Front" and "Back". Battery wise is good and last me more than 2 days of normal used. (My normal used consider FB, XDA, News Feeds, Browsing web, sync, email, whatsapp, Hangout, G+, Wifi, Mobile data, No GPS and other minor setting tweaks)

My feedback was from personal experience though... I already had 3 sony phones.
Xperia Pro, Xperia S and this Xperia Z1 Compact. The oldest sony device I have is Xperia Pro which I still use for 3 years now. And I can even show proof that the built in screen protector of my Xperia Pro still doesn't have even a single hairline scratch. Same goes for my Xperia S which I sold now and now on my Xperia Z1 Compact.
I'm not sure how those other users handle their phone to the point that it scratches the screen but I can say that if used properly you won't have any trouble with the built in protector. But of course... The protector is plastic it would get scratched when it's scratched by an object that's sharp and harder than plastic obviously.

+1 There have been so many reports of the ASF being easily scratched that I recommend putting a protector on asap, which for me is before I've even turned the Phone on.

I would need to see that proof before even considering to believe that. I'll get some pictures up tomorrow of how my current protector looks, but I can always remove it and add another, once the ASF has just one little blemish then you'll be kicking yourself because the only way then to remove that blemish would be to remove the ASF. I also take the resale value into account too.

I would upload one later on Time to test macro photography of Z1 Compact then haha!
I also have BTW a nokia N900 which has a resistive screen(made of plastic) and also no scratches and that's almost 5 years old now
Yeah I'm an avid fan of phones with HW qwerty keyboard.

The screen protector is awful...
Already have a deep scratch and I'm a very careful person... On the back I already have a film protector, so I can't give any feedback, but the screen protector on the front is very, very soft to protect from almost any scratch...

First, dont worry about the battery - the phone's battery life is fantastic. only bettered by 3000mAh+ phablets
Dont worry about the screen panel - it's a lovely 720p part with neutral colours which makes photos and videos look fantastic.
*Do* worry about the back - it's a horrible plastic that scratches easily.
*Do* worry about the Anti-Shatter-Film on the front. It's an abomination. It picks up dust, it scratches, and will need to come off sooner rather than later.
(compare this with any iPhone 4S+ screen after 2 years hard use - spotless, no/few scratches, oleophobic, lovely cold glass touch - it's no wonder that Sony have *finally* conceded and removed the plastic film from the Z2 (and hopefully Z2 mini))

I've ordered a screen protector, would you recommend removing the ASF before fitting it in that case?

Skinomi Screen Protectors

Here is a review I posted on Amazon about my terrible experience with Skinomi that I wanted to share.
I purchased this protection kit after reading through many reviews, and looking around for something simple that also protects my device from scratches. Little did I know what was going to happen after installing the screen protector.
The rear panels have a texture to the 3M film that gives you a little better grip than the aluminum of the G Pad, and the installation instructions are not great, but a few videos on their youtube page will help out with this.
The problems started when I installed the screen protector as directed in the instructions both on their webpage and youtube page. I powered the device off and cleaned it as stated (you obviously can't remove the battery on the device and this is an optional step) then I proceeded to lightly spray the solution onto the film and screen after washing my hands and installed it. I used a plastic card along with a microfiber cloth to squeegee out the bubbles and liquid as directed. The only problem was that the LG G Pad got the liquid inside of it because my device would no longer power on (the screen would just flicker and it would shut off) I charged it and tried to boot the device to no avail. Keep in mind I did not douse the device in the spray, I used the amount that was stated I.E. lightly spray as is shown in the video.
I also did not get any liquid near the SD card slot, charging port or headphone jack (these are the only openings on the devices besides the back speakers. I am to say the least extremely upset that my brand new tablet was destroyed by the product that was bound to protect it. I am not new to screen protectors, let alone wet application ones. I have owned many over the years from the Zagg ones to a tempered glass protector and everything in between. This product cleary is at fault for their process involved, and I would not recommend it to anyone!
I contacted customer support via a phone call and I was told that its not their responsibility and there is a disclaimer on the box and inside. I looked high and low and could not locate the "disclaimer". I even took pictures and emailed it to them. I was met with a rude representative (4 actually) who constantly spoke over what I was saying, jumped to conclusions and otherwise were unhelpful. When I requested a supervisor I was told that all of them are in a meeting. I asked when the meeting would be over (but no one knew) clearly the representatives didn't want to address the actual issue. I am disgusted by the lack of support and the blatant disrespect that the company has shown toward its customers. I will be pursuing a solution through whatever means possible and spreading the word of their terrible products and practices. I wanted to share this story so others do not fall to the same fate or have their devices become inoperable due to a faulty product and a terrible company.

Update: I tried to call them back to speak with a supervisor but they blocked my cell number. When I call it says "the number can not be reached from your area code" this is a terrible company that blacklists any customers who call them out. I called from another phone at it went through.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience, I personally don't use screen protectors anymore. Gorilla glass and its competitors have become so good that as long as I don't keep my device in the same pocket with my keys everything is fine, and it looks much much better than with a screen protector that will always be scratched and have bubbles, it also feels much less smooth.

I feel the same way, I have a tempered glass on my Note 3 and I really like the feel of just glass. I use the G pad for my text books so I don't have to carry around 1000 page engineering books all day at school. I usually use one because I don't want to completely destroy the tablet with all f the constant moving around in my backpack. Thankfully I had a warrantee through SquareTrade which will cover the damages, but I still feel that other people should know.
I really like my G Pad and I wish that I did further research about the Skinomi protectors and wet application for the G pad so I could have avoided this. Hopefully if it can't be fixed I will have another one in a week or two, but I would be much more upset if I didn't have coverage for this. I am really meticulous when I apply these things so I am just disappointed that the G pad isn't sealed well and the fluid (soapy solution provided) is "very thin" in terms of its viscosity so it just goes into the tiniest of crevices. I might just throw my new one back into its TPU case and get a sleeve for it even though my backpack has a padded felt like pouch to prevent damaging the screen. The carbon back panels were really nice and not hard to install ones you figured out how to do the corners, but I will never use another wet application protector on a non water proof device.

I recall one of the guys on here had the same problem with another wet application screen protector. At the time it swayed me to buy a dry application Protector, but I've never been over the moon about it.
My youngest scratched it an hour after fitting when she drew across the screen with a kids pencil, which was shocking as kids pencils are so soft.
I bought a zagg in the sale last week and got it yesterday. You've made me nervous now.

I did get a refund for the protector (obviously since it broke my G Pad) and Amazon wasn't too happy with the way that Skinomi handled the situation. I can't call their number since I'm they blocked it, and their email response to me was "sorry we can't help you" and that was all.
Their customer service is on par with that of Comcast who time and time again have been rated as the worst company for customer service. Amazon told me to file a complaint against them so it can be investigated and if necessary they will take action. I am still shocked at how rude the representatives were, if you asked a question the rep would cut you off mid sentence with an answer to something that wasn't completely asked yet. Then if you ask then to please stop, the rep will say you are uncooperative and hang up or transfer you to another equally rude person. Also when I inquired as to why I couldn't speak to any supervisor I was met with a sarcastic/childish response. I always strive to be as polite as possible, but when you are constantly rude to a customer and belittle them, its understandable that I would be upset. (in their eyes if you weren't whispering you were yelling at them and it was "unprofessional")
I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere, but I wanted to get the word out about their lack of customer service and support for their own products. Especially when in my box there are no disclaimers (which were 'supposed to be in there'). I'm not blind, or dumb, but apparently I need to be able to read the invisible words on the box.
Lets hope that either the company changes for the better or people stop supporting them if this is how they act.

Hopefully Amazon will investigate, so it's definitely worth pursuing this.
I wouldn't be surprised, if they find in your favour, that they suspend or even ban Skinomi from their site.
I'm not sure how you would go about it but it would be great if this made it to the xda news /portal.

sorry to hear that happen to you. wow that crazy how it got in your screen because i just installed a skinomi screen protector that i won on there facebook contest and i didn't get that problem. so do you know how did the liquid get in the screen because there is actually a gap on the screen between the plastic casing. best of luck to you.

Personally, I think that screen protectors are a waste of money and they degrade the use of the device. The real threat to these devices is a cracked screen, and screen protectors won't prevent that. Unless you wear sandpaper gloves or you're very careless, you're not likely to scratch these screens.

I went with a $10 armorsuit protector from Amazon that was a perfect fit and looks good.
I like that it makes the display a little more matte and provides a little resistance. I also hate hate hate scratches of any kind, so I never feel bad about going with a screen protector or replacing one if it gets messed up. It does absolutely stop a screen from getting cracked, but the only screen I've ever cracked was when I accidentally left it in a pocket and knelled down on it, so that's not my biggest fear.

I've seen good able bad reviews but that's the case with most products so it's hard to speak to the quality. Quality is pretty solid. It covers the entire face of the phone (including the notch) with cutouts for both speakers and the proximity sensor (glass covers both selfie cameras). Does not have an alignment kit like Whitestone so definitely take your time applying it. The only nag I have about it is that it has a dot matrix for some reason...almost like it was supposed to be an edge adhesive screen protector but they decided not to put adhesive on it and just sell it with LOCA. Also worth noting, their "oleophobic nano coating" wipe will leave the glass looking a little hazy after you wipe it on. Be sure to buff/polish it after to make it smooth and shiny again. Personally, the dot matrix bugs me enough (more apparent when the screen is white) to be getting Whitestone Dome when/if it comes out for our phone. Otherwise, the most solid TGSP I've tried for the Pixel 3 XL

Thank you so much for this review. The dot matrix is an absolute deal breaker for me. I tried to use a screen protector with a dot matrix before and just couldn't un-see all of those dots!

Once the loca is applied you barely notice it. But when the screen turns all white it almost looks like there's glitter on the screen. You really kind of have to look for it. My guess is that it's similar to how loca is really good at hiding existing scratches and scuffs that your screen may already have. Wish I had another phone to snap a picture of it...

Sorry guys, I've been so swamped recently I forgot xda existed. Basically it's a product commonly used to protected the paint on cars. I used to be in the detail industry and learned all the ins and the outs of the process and after struggling with all the rather poor screen protectors available for our phone figured I might as well not use one at all.
So here goes...
Essentially ceramic coating is a process in which a liquid topical solution is applied to the intended surface and transfers a coating at the nanometer level to said surface. The liquid solution "flashes" over in roughly 1 minute but also as quickly as 10 to 15 seconds. At that point the coating is buffed with a microfiber which picks up all the excess solution and leaves behind a 100% invisible coating. I mean it's literally as if nothing is there, however I can assure you that there is. Anyway at that point your pretty much finished, however it will continue to cure over the next 24 to 72 hours. In my case I simply let my pixel set for 3 days as I don't use it daily. After that you have about the absolute toughest coating possible on your screen short of having a tgsp installed. I think I did this about 2 to 3 weeks ago now and with near daily use it's still help up perfectly. Haven't gotten a single microscratch or microswirling on my phone and the screen is still glassy smooth and fingers glide with extreme ease along the surface of my phone. I'm honestly stunned with how well it's worked. I know it's a game changer when applied to car paint but I didn't have particularly high expectations for my phone. I'll probably continue this with all future devices as well, no point to get a tgsp at this point

Would be pretty hard to scratch as it is a 8 on the mohs scale of hardness. It essentially is as tough as Sapphire! I have a zodiac watch that's 10+ years old now and I've taken it with me to many places and it's been roughed up some and the glass is still pristine not a single mark on it. My main concern is would it wear off over time, if that is the case you would need to know when to reapply. Edit: found info on a website "A Ceramic Coating is not a substitute for Paint Protection Film, which provides a more comprehensive for of defensive. Rather, it is a premium wax alternative. A Ceramic Coating creates a permanent or semi-permanent bond with a vehicle’s paint, meaning that it does not wash away or break down and does not require repeated application every few months."

If it somehow managed to get scratched it'll just be scratched. Not much to be done about it. However you can reapply any time. I have a coating rated for 5 years on a car, and that's something being exposed to constant uv from the sun and all the elements of weather. I expect that I'll never have to reapply to my phone.

It's extremely hard to scratch. I've taken knives to coated paint before and couldn't get a mark on it
