Yes, it can be found everywhere actually.

i needed an apk file i m using LeeDroid rom...thx anyway
I had the same problem. Beta expired and no apk would work.
In my frustration, I stumbled across another alternative called Ultra Keyboard. Has the swype method of input, and so much more customization. The swype method isn't as accurate as Swype's own, but it just means you have too slow your thumb down a little bit. And it IS only a little bit.
You can skin it to customize it's look, and even the free skins on the market place for the "Better Keyboard" app work for it.
You can custom height of keys, and have different settings for portrait and landscape modes.
Check out the trial and see what you think. Take some time too explore all the settings too.

As Swype is not licensed for use on the Desire, any Swype APK's or links to them are not allowed.
Please do not ask for the apk, and do not post links.

I have been trying to copy some of the features of the original HTC Froyo rom to a new Gingerbread rom (DevNull) using Android Kitchen running in a Cwgwin box. While I can swap some apk's in and out, other apk's like contacts and dialler will only work in their correct version. Is there a way around this ? or is it a fundamental impasse? Any pointers to where I can read up on this stuff gratefully received.
No, they use totally different frameworks. If it was easy let attitude even possible at all, don't you think some of the "real" devs would have done it already?

Hello everyone, I'm VERY new to coding and developing for Android. I do plan on learning javascript all the way through so I can contribute more to the community.
But for right now I've been making GO Launcher EX themes in a program that compiles the code for you so I've just been adding the images pretty much. But to push market updates you have to add something to the code; what would I need in order to change the code?
Thanks for all your help, and sorry for the n00b question! D:

Is the Skydroid project still on development or dead. It would be a nice port if it gets done

Thanks for letting us know about this project. This question would be better on that link.

I saw the apps they have currently. The email is decent. I prefer regular android dialer apps though (T9) and the ICS people app seems nicer.
If you want a nice WP7 launcher, check out Launcher7. Best WP launcher I've seen so far. It even has an optional page (3 pages) for android widgets.
Hey guys, I am not from around here. But I need your help. My friend has a Galaxy Note 2 with Android Revolution HD 11.2. I am the one who does all the mods for him. He is happy with it, but after seeing PA Halo he really wants it. But a note 2 without touchwiz s pen features is no good. So what I need help with is, is there any touchwiz based ROM that has Halo already implemented or planning to be implemented soon. Also, can it or will it ever be implemented? The threads are too confusing for me as I am not used to bring in the Galaxy Note 2 thread. Please help me.
Thanks in advance.

If he really needs the SPen features, but really wants to use PA, then you can install GMD SPen control and Papyrus. GMD allows you to set up triggers for pen out/in actions as well as SPen gestures and floating quicklaunch bars for common SPen apps and actions. Papyrus is, IMO, the best SPen app on the market. Both apps will cost a couple dollars, but well worth it for gaining back 90% of the SPen functionality on an AOSP ROM.
Also, with PA, you can add permanent apps to HALO that you find convenient for opening in a floating window.
The only feature I haven't found a suitable replacement for is the cut/copy feature of the SPen's side button.
Unrelated sidebar, speaking of cut/copy, Cut Copy is a great band. You should check them out.

Thank you jallenhayslett, I'll look into that. But, I am from India and debit card support here is a hit an miss in Google play store. Most of can't pay in the play store and credit cards are rather rare. I also refuse to download cracked stuff. No piracy policy.
Do any of the touchwiz based ROM developers plan to add Halo? I am willing to wait a few weeks.

I doubt its going to happen. Halo is a PA development, AOSP, and beta at that. The closest thing I've seen that exists for TouchWiz is an app/service called Floating Notifications. It's in the Play Store, but I'm quite certain its a paid app.

You could also consider something I saw on XDA's front page a couple weeks ago. Its called Bubble Launcher. I haven't messed with it, but it looks capable and promising.
Floating Notification is pretty similar to PA Halo

I agree that Halo is a PA feature. But from what I got to know off of the nexus 4 thread, its now open source and all are allowed to implement it. That's why I asked if any developers are planning on it

It might be possible, but based on my limited knowledge of the systems, implementing it into Samsungs system would be more trouble than most devs are willing to tackle. That doesn't mean its impossible, though. Stock Sammy ROMs are now implementing floating windows and such. So, given enough time, and a curious enough dev, it could happen.
Hopefully that curious developer doesn't have to be me. I already have enough coding work at college as it is.

Thanks etecdailey, please give me some feed back after a few days of usage. My friend isn't very skilled at troubleshooting. So.... I have to make sure that its stable before flashing it for him. And I also thank all the others for making me feel at home.
