When I play a video on Netflix, the back lit keys never turn off. I never had this problem with any other players nor on SyndicateROM Frozen. I haven't had the chance to test it on other ROMs yet, but I was curios if anyone else had a similar problem?
Same here, I was wondering if that was normal

This was fixed in froyo on the last netflix update, so maybe it will be fixed for GB on th next.
I hope so. I don't think Netflix will fix this for the Epic until official gb.
EDIT: I have heard of apps like LEDs Hack and Screen Filter that will disable the softtkey's backlight, but they didn't work on the Epic. Anyone know of any apps that will disable the softkey backlight?

Update: even though Netflix now supports 2.3 and 2.2, I still have the same problem.

Has anybody experienced problems with the touch screen on the Evo when it is only charging? My touch screen acts weird when it is in charging mode. For example if I press like the letter "g" on the keyboard it will register like "f" or "t". This problem only occurs when it is plugged into the charger. Thanks for any answers and for taking your time to read this.
Oh, and this is a stock Evo.

Yeah, mine gets goofy too. It started after the 1.47 build update for me. I haven't updated to froyo yet until they fix the streaming issue, but I hoped it would be better. I think its a result of the grounding issue they fixed in the 1.47 patch
So I'm not crazy! Yay! I have the froyo build too. Sometimes it becomes annoying when my screen wigs out. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Sorry if there's a post on this already, but I've tried searching and I can't find any kind of answer.
I'm a total newbie when it comes to modding my phone, but I have the alpha 1 of CM7 flashed on my epic. I was already having a few problems with the proximity sensor when it was stock (my face would bring up the keypad and dial numbers while I was in the middle of a conversation.... I could see the screen lighting up mid-convo for some reason) but it seems almost worse now that I've flashed. My calls will disconnect even though I have service, and this happens almost daily. The screen also can't sense when I take my face away from the phone, so the screen is still black when I want to end a call... I usually have to slide the keyboard open and shut in order to end the call.
Is anyone else having this kind of problem? Or does anyone know if there is a way to... I dunno, recalibrate the proximity sensor or anything? Any help at all would be fantastic.

I would reflash back to stock EC05 and see if the issue continues with the prox. Most of the time a reflash stock will fix the problem. I know you said you had the issue with stock but did you reflash stock to see if it went away. If you still have the issue w/EC05 you just might have a bad prox. If you have TEP just take it in to a sprint store its free, if not it will be $35, make sure it has EC05 software when taking it in or else they will laugh at you and tell you it is the cooked rom you are running which it very well could be.
Haha ok thanks, I'll try flashing back to stock and hope it fixes itself... And thanks for reminding me to go back to EC05 if I take it to a sprint store, I def would've forgotten to change it back lol.

Cm7 is in alpha and I have the same problem.
Hopefully the beta will fix this
Syndicate rom works the best for ec05 that I've used.

I updated my G2 to the Gingerbread 2.3.3 version and I noticed that when using the hardware keyboard (Not the virtual one) the lights either don't stay on for very long or don't come on at all. Is anyone else noticing this issue or do I have a sensor going?
yes seen this happen too..
I tried to post this in diglez ei22 bug thread but it denied me the ability to post in that thread.
So I had a couple of the issues that sum of us had and I did what you all did.. Reflashed etc.. I am running the preroot deo'd gps fix no ciq rom with the ei22 modem and I thought everything was OK. But then I went to run the sixaxis compatibility app(this was the biggest reason I jumped on this rom since sfr1. 2 on ec05 with tz kernal was not compatible with sixaxis syncing, and I keep reading how people on bonzi and cm7 have got it to work) the screen goes black and makes the power off sound and appears to be frozen for like 20sec with the four lit up keys on. Then it vibrates and loads the home screen. Just wanted to share this wired issue. And if any knows how to get the sixaxis synced to my phone please pm or make a tutorial cause I know there are others that want this to work and are prob stuck like me.
.?? Update.????.
Works now. On acs ics v4 samurai v3

Hello there, just recently tried the new Cyanogenmod 10.1 Rom fro the epic 4g touch (wild for the night). So far, I've noticed a big issue For the FEB 18 version; screen orientation does not work. I've tried seeing if it had something to do with accessibility in settings but so far those options have been checked for auto screen rotation. Any ideas of what to do?? Has anybody experienced this before? Much appreciated

Its not working for anyone right now... Dastin just did a huge overhaul (or an overhaul was done) to the kernel and some items broke. They will be fixed in time, so if you want a stable, mostly bug free ROM, stay with 2/15 until the details are worked out...
