Hello there, just recently tried the new Cyanogenmod 10.1 Rom fro the epic 4g touch (wild for the night). So far, I've noticed a big issue For the FEB 18 version; screen orientation does not work. I've tried seeing if it had something to do with accessibility in settings but so far those options have been checked for auto screen rotation. Any ideas of what to do?? Has anybody experienced this before? Much appreciated

Its not working for anyone right now... Dastin just did a huge overhaul (or an overhaul was done) to the kernel and some items broke. They will be fixed in time, so if you want a stable, mostly bug free ROM, stay with 2/15 until the details are worked out...

hello i recently flashed this version of cyanogen-mod on my Samsung s2 and am having an issue. First of all, i used a non-touch CWM but it was confirmed to work as long as you use super swipe, so i did that and it worked no problem. However the back-lighting on my buttons will not come on. It is not broken because it sometimes works but mostly does not. i am wondering if there is a fix or a setting i need to use to get it to work.
Thank you

have you tried "settings > advanced > sensors" and checking the backlight and notification settings?
yes I have tried it, it fixes the issue but once I lock the phone and then unlock it it does not work anymore.

It's a known issue with any aosp builds such as cm or aokp. No one has gotten it to work consistently yet with ics or jb

i think ill just re-flash to dark-side evolution. can you please explain to me what the MD5 keys mean since there are like a few download mirrors and i an not sure which one to get.
i am having this problem on every version or CM9 past RC2 and CM10 i really would like a fix
i looked into this a little and it seems that it's a problem from the moment you turn off the screen until the first hard light timeout afte the screen is turned back on
Apparently the bug is also in Miui and AOKP
NOOB HERE
Hi, I am using eugene373's newest PLANE JANE ICS ROM, the whole system seems to me is perfect, except the one issue about the touch keys backlight. Sometimes those four keys do not light up even I already unlock the screen, may have to wait for 15-30 seconds, then the backlight comes up. But sometime it works good. So I am just wondering is there any other this ROM users have same problem about this?
Its a little bug, everyone's got it. It'll probably be fixed soon.

Thanks for telling me that. I already had flashed the rom more than five times!! I thought that only because I installed something affect the lights.

Installed Rom.Everything seemed to work fine. But i could not get Talkatone working that what i use mostly.
Anyone else having this issue?
My Evo 4g is unlocked for metropcs and I had it running on the Energy rom posted by member NRGZ28 and i started getting problems with my touch screen. It would all of a sudden glitch up on me and start launching random apps and typing random letters. I would reboot and everything would be ok for a while. But latter on as i would go to the notification panel the top of the screen would just not respond. I was able to go back and touch other apps and use it that part of the screen in other apps but whenever i touche the top of the screen when on the notification panel or when txting or in the playstore it woud just not respond. So i got upset and wiped everything and installed a different rom and all of a sudden the same problem occurred. I dont know what to do. Could it be the Kernel? Or is it that i need to wipe something else off my phone? I an really frustrated and i dont know what to do.
Your screen digitizer is going out. For example, say you have a .txt document open and touch the top part, it won't respond. So you scroll down a bit and touch the same spot, and it responds. Its a fix you could do at home. Plenty of YouTube videos and parts are pretty cheap.

Sorry for bump, but didn't seem to be resolved.
It could very well be your kernel. I've had this problem before but after experimenting with some roms, I've found sense is the best way to go.
I know Energy runs Sense 3.5, dunno if that could be the culprit, depends on the kernel.
I'm using DigitalKarma v8 Reincarnation and have not yet had a touch screen problem. It's running the Underworld kernel.
Hi folks,
I'm not sure what's up with my phone. I have CM10 beta on it and since earlier today the D button on the keyboard is completely unusable. Also, I have a hard touch hitting R. I have tried touching the same area in other apps and it seems to work fine. Maybe there's a tool out there I could use to confirm this?
I had this happen before on an earlier build of CM10. When it happened before (and as of now), rebooting doesn't fix it. Last time I gave up and just upgraded my CM10 ROM, and it has been working ever since (around a month or so).
Today, the touch screen experienced some "glitches". What I mean is, I took it out to use it and it seemed like it was detecting touch/drag events in various spots, and I had to put it to sleep to get it working again.
I have no idea where to start with diagnosing this. It doesn't seem to be a hardware issue, since re-flashing before fixed it. Any ideas?
Go back to stock, if you have the same problem then it will probably be hardware issues.

So I've been having some touch problems. I've been texting, and doing normal things, but the problem still persists.
I am running Liquid Smooth RC2, JellyBean 4.2.2 with the latest GAPPS on the T999 S3.
I did not have this problem a few days ago and I was running the same rom. I got the problem yesterday so I reset, factory reset and everything with RC2 again.
Here is a video of the problem. This is just one symptom. I have other issues which includes random clicks on the touch, which activates random apps sometimes that are available on my screen, as well as jitters make things impossible to touch, as well as sometimes not being able to touch things as well. I tried moving apps on my desktop, but sometimes it wasn't responding and I'd have to wait.
Please let me know if you need anymore details.

No help? what a community.
Sounds like a defect that should be covered under warranty, and don't be a ****.
