DonSalari's Clean Basic ROM - Internet issue - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV ROM Development

I installed this ROM. Looks great! But... I cant turn the Internet connection off! I want to turn it off especially for night, but if I go to Comm Manager and turn it off, few seconds later (especially when return to HOME screen) it connects again.
I have all updates set as manual, so no idea why...???
Help! Thanks

Wifi Issue - Won't turn "on"

Running WM 6.5 on a TMob Dash. Have the same rom on two phones but on the wifes whenever I go up to the connection slide and select Wifi. It says Disconnecting and then Wifi Off. The icon will never turn on red or blue. If I go into comm manager I can click on the Wifi and it will switch from Off to On but then it never pops up finding networks or even showing the icon on the main page as on. I have turned the power setting to Best Performance and unchecked the auto turn off after x mins. What could be causing it to not come on? Any help is greatly appreciated. This is my first post so if any other information is needed just let me know.

Power Settings

someone can tell me how to configure the phone so when you are connected to the pc not turn off the screen?
Thanks

From the settings it seems the maximum is only 30 mins
download power manager from the market, does exactly what you want
customize the 'connected to pc' settings to set the screen timeout to Never only for when connected to pc
perfect for your situation.
is that I think before root did not change anything and when connected to pc always stayed on, having someone with the original rom without a router you can confirm, thank you very much anyway mate
settings>applications>development
put a tick in the box for "Stay awake" and the screen will not turn off while plugged in or charging
Oleeee ,many thanks mate I was going crazy looking for how to do it. eres un crack.

No Connection when Screen off.

Hello,
i have readed a much and i dont find another one who have this anoying error:
Every time i go into sleep by pressing the power button all my data connection is lost ...... only wlan is working, for example when i take a call and the phone comes to my ear and the screen turns off because of the proximity sensor the connection lost and the call end -.-
How to solve this problem?
Im am waiting for a RUU with Hboot 0.80 from 02 Germany to send it back to o2, because my phone is bricked -.- the only things that are not working is this error and the usb connectivity........
I flashed the testimage of the Modaco Root process so i dont have superuser.apk but root acess .... EVERY app has root acess now... this is ****ing fail...!!
Hope u understand me and help me.
Did you install Juicedefender or something?
No only a few apps because i have no apps2sd.... i testet it without apps, too.
Same problem here.
When the display turns off , soon after WLAN is disabled. Happens with Sipdroid, last.fm musicplayer and FritzFon App. This is inconvenient since i cant make calls over VoIP because when the proximity sensor turns the screen off the wlan connection is lost and the call ends.
Have you checked the WiFi sleep policy?
When you are in the WiFI settings menu, press the Menu button again and then select "Advanced". You can then change the WiFi sleep policy to "Never".
Regards,
Dave
Yes it was at never and i switsched to both other aviable things and nothing changed ....-.-
No answer´s? =(
I've the same problem. If I'm downloading an app from market and then I switch off the display the download remains freezed.
The advanced wifi option is set to "never"
No my wifi connection dont lost all the others !?

[Q] Where do I find WIFI sleep policy settings?

On ICS, where can I find the settings for Wifi sleep policy etc? My Wifi keeps turning itself off after a time, and Im trying to get the the bottom of it, but cant find where those settings would be. They certainly arent where they have been for previous Android versions...
Go to Wifi Networks, click menu bottom on bottom right > advanced.
Even though mine is set to always stay on, it regularly turns itself off. Every morning, I've lost quite a lot of battery and I have no connection. Within a few seconds of the screen coming back on, it will reconnect.
Is this just me? (Android Revolution HD 2.1.2)
Its not working for me. No matter what setting I put wifi on it turns itself off when out of range for a certain period of time (about thirty minutes I think). Driving me insane.
Mine's only a couple of meter's from the access point, still turns itself off...
The same for me. Not 30 minutes but immediately.
For example the notofications appear only if I unlock the screen.
In wifi setting is on "keep always"
Example: i receive a whatsapp, email or facebook notification only when unlock the screen. Is normal?
With data connection all work fine.
I'm glad to know it's not just me. At least that means hopefully there is a fix coming at some point...

same here anyone an idea? sucks hard..
I figured my problem, traced it back to the Vodafone app, it was causing wifi to crash. Once i removed it it works perfectly. The problem stemmed from the vodadone app constantly trying ro find free wifu points to.automatically connect to.

[Q] Tasker Wait Time?

Hi there.
I have setup a new tasker:
Turn Wifi Off when Screen off
and another
Turn Wifi On when screen is on.
The only problem is, I want to set a wait time, for the Wifi off one, as sometimes looking at the phone, the screen turns off, I turn it straight back on but WiFi is off and I have to wait for it to load again.
I've tried adding a wait time under the "Task" for Wifi Off.
I have also put the wait before the task (meaning the Wait is the first task, then it shuts Wifi off) I set the wait to 10 seconds, for testing.
But it still turns off instantly.
Any help please?
THANKS!
Try having it wait the 10 seconds, then play a tone, then shut off wifi. If it waits to play the sound, then you know at least the delay is right.

How I would I go about this?
Put the wait first?
Then sound
Then WiFi on?
If the sound doesn't play for 10 secs, I know the wait is working?
THANKS!
Ill try and let you know
Tasker Step One
If someone still having this issue check the tasker wiki : http://tasker.wikidot.com/stepone
At the end it says:
If you click on the Task again, you'll see that the action 'Screen Brightness' has a
particular icon next to it. The icon signifies that the action is a special one called a
Setting, and Tasker will always restore Settings that were changed in the Enter task when a profile
exits.
