Is there a download for the RA recovery for the slide I've been messin around with all this modding stuff since I got the phone and the only thing I haven't used is the amon_ra recovery. Can someone tell me how to use it thank you.

Not yet. The standard recovery loading clockwork as an update.zip is all we have so far.
But you can use ClockWork Rom Manager and install the recovery image for HTC Aria. It has a few more options than the normal update zip. Also clicking on Reboot into Recovery works with that recovery image and boot straight into it. Rom Manager is a paid program, but well worth the money.
Its really not that hard to root dude im 15 and i was use do the amon ra but after a while clockwork rooting is all about patience :] and it made me feel accomplished and if i remember correctly you had to change the spl for amon and that killed a few pplz g1s

Not true. The G1 bricks were caused by flashing the "danger" SPL before flashing the correct radio during the original root process. Also, the stock SPL on the G1 was read/write which allowed a custom recovery once rooted. HTC lately, for whatever reason, has decided to make their SPL's read only which is why we can't flash a recovery.
Hmmmmm yes I agree and well I guess I learned somethin new.

I flashed a file that was suppose to update my ra recovery and give me the eng hboot. Afterwards it would only boot to hboot. Nand restores would say they were successful but I would still have the same problem. Someone suggested flashing a rom, so I flashed fresh. It started loading, but bootloops on the splash screen. I rebooted into recovery and try to reboot the phone but it just goes to hboot. Please help!
Same thing happened to me after flashing that for unrevoked forever. Would just go into that screen. I had to do a clean cache/factory resent, dalvik and all from RA recovery and flashed a new ROM and that fixed it. In my case, I flashed AvaFroyo6 and CM6 Final as well, both worked, didn't try it with Fresh.
Thanks for replying! I will try that!
This has happened to several of us trying to do the ENG HBoot update. Not sure why some are fine with it, and others of us get stuck in hboot.
Did you go through the Amon_Ra path on the second part of the 2.2 root, or clockwork?
I did amon_ra. Wondering if there is a coincidence.
Amon Ra. I just flashed cm6 and that worked. I am not sure what to do now. Update recovery? Nand Restore? Step 2 of the root process?
ENG HBoot for the Desire???
I've not heard of such a beast, so I'm guessing this is an EVO thread that's been moved here by some overzealous mod?
Regards,
Dave
So I'm basically trying to unroot, reroot my phone to try and fix 4G issues, (my WIMAX partition and key are alive and kicking), and have ran into a few issues.
After I was back to stock and up to date with everything, I ran Unrevoked 3.21, installed Amon RA recovery, and did a nandroid backup of my stock ROM. Everything was great until I decided to wipe, and flash a ROM. No matter what I do, I cannot get out of the bootloader! It keeps starting up everytime the phone is reset, and immediately going into fastboot.
I've flashed numerous PC36IMG.zip's to try and fix this, and I'm at a lost. Where do I go from here?
I have managed to flash a PC36IMG to get me back up and running, but after rerooting, I cannot seem to flash any ROM without instantly being thrown back into this bootloop!

I have Amon RA 1.80...
I managed to fix this somehow... Sitting on my butt all day on my only day off!!!
I believe I ended up flashing some PC36IMG file that was of the newest RUU. It put HBOOT 2.02 on my phone!!!
I managed to get it working properly, and found out how to get Amon RA recovery installed which is a complete PITA.
Oh well. 4G is now working in every ROM it's supposed to! SUCCESS!
Mine did that when I downgraded my hBoot back to .76, I was able to bring it back with everything how I left it by just flashing a kernel.
I'm guessing the hboot and boot images are tied together somehow so that the latter needs redone if the hboot changes.
can you tell me which PC36IMG you used?
Thanks

I don't know enough about the HBOOT, or bootloader. I'm still used to having just Amon RA on my old Hero's. Definately more stuff to learn, and now that I'm on HBOOT 2.02, it just means more things I'll have to understand if I decide to unroot/root in the future.

I FOUND IT! I was looking for that all morning. That is the zip that fixed my problems. Only thing, is that I flashed it with s-off, and no recovery. So after that, I was on HBOOT 2.02, with no recovery. So I spent about three hours figuring out how to properly install Amon RA.
Ok so.. I cant find an answer that I can understand.. Ive searched and searched but I cant seem to understand what I need to do.. I really, really want to flash sacs HD Rom on my evo but I can't seem to do it..
Can someone please trll me or guide me to how..
I have an evo with
hboot 2.02
Version 003
Rooted with unrevoked
S-off
Stock rom
With clockwork mod recovery..
I had hboot 2.10 tried to flash a rom and it kinda did.. Well it just showed the custom boot screen of the rom then it went black..
I forgot to back up .. So I searched for a stock pc36img.zip file to restore
And when it did I then had hboot 2.02..
So now I want to really badly change to BOSS HD rom..
Can anyone please, please help me or guide me on what im doing wrong or what I need to do..
I was thinking of downgrading to hboot .97 by flashing another pc36img.zip but with hboot .97.. Will this work or what do I have to do to flash that rom.. Someone please.. Im obssesed with trying that rom.. Thats the reason why I got an evo..
Are you still S-OFF? And I sugest you use Amo-ra for flashing Roms, you can install it with Rom Manager, go down to alternative recovery in RM. Good luck.

As evolish said, I suggest changing to Amon Ra recovery, just a suggestion. Some people like clockwork, but I swear by Amon RA, just more reliable imo. So you got stuck at a black screen after the boot animation played? So are you still s-off after running the stock PC36IMG? I would've thought that would unroot you and take away your custom recovery. So if you are still rooted with s off, use rom manager to flash amon ra, as evolish said. Then wipe data, cache, and davlik cache x3. Flash the ROM. Reboot into the ROM. Be aware of which radio versions you have as well, as some ROMS suggest/require that you have the latest radios. If your bootloader says s on after running the pc36img, you probably need to re root. And also, I could be mistaken on this, but I don't think that 2.1 or 2.02 hboot are downgradeable, but again, not positive on that. I think it said it in calkulins radio thread. Good luck
But can I flash them.. When I tried with hboot 2.10 it said when supposibly flashing
"amend scripting (update-script) will no longer be available
amend scripting was deprecated by google in android 1.5
It was necesarry to remove in when upgrading to the clockworkmod recovery gingerbread based 3.0. Please swich to edify scripting (update- script and update- binary) to create working update zip packages
Writing boot"
This was with clockworkmod recovery
With RA recovery it said it wasnt signed or something like that..
Ya.. Im s-off.. I will try as you said .. Flash RA recovery and try to flash the rom once again..

In RA, the newer versions (2.xx) there is a "signature verification" setting that you need to switch off. Some of the devs don't sign the file, and if you try to flash an unsigned file, you will get that error. If you toggle that setting to be off, so it doesn't care if the file is signed, you'll be good to go. Use Amon.
EDIT! : If you do decide to use ROM manager to flash Amon Ra, and the "flash alternate recovery" option is grayed out, you must first select "flash clockwork mod recovery", (even though your already on clockwork, perform this step), then after that, the 'flash alternate recovery" should no longer be grayed out.
Thank you soo much both of you for your help..
Ive managed to change the rom.. Ill wait for sacs to release a better version.. Its still a little buggy

You have to switch to amon ra because the files use amend scripting, which clockwork 3.0+ doesn't support. You can find the amon_ra thread in the development section with instructions on how to flash it. Also you'll have to make a new backup because amon can't restore cwm backups, and vice versa.
You can find info on Amon_RA here.

sorry to ask again ....
what difference with Armon cwm?
What immediately install it?
Does it work the same way as cwm?
So far I used to use cwm
Which version of Clockworkmod are you using? There is a custom version that comes with the Revolutionary Root that I am not familiar with but you should still be ok with Amon RA.
Amon RA is similar to Clockworkmod but a little different. For one it still sopports amend scripting which you need for these files. The operation of the recovery is very similar so you should still be able to find your way around.
The install instructions are in the first post of the thread I pointed you to. I used the Bootloader method. You download the PC36IMG.zip and save it in the root of your SD Card and then power it down. Turn it back on with the power button while holding Vol Down.
Once you have switched to Amon RA you will be able to do everything that you did before with clockworkmod.
the problem is solved
thanks for everything
