Hi i found an app called auto killer memory which ive been running for a while. this app has worked wonders for my wilderbeast, its on fire. so ive been tampering alot with things but this seems to have stabalised my phone loads. presets i set to lost, enabled advance mode, apply at boot, ticked all system tweaks and of course when promted enabled super user. my phone is now running sweet and battery has improved too. i dont know if this makes any sense but i have noticed a difference. whoop whoop. am i over optimistic that this works the same as the v6 super charger/juwes ram optimiser ???
Ok I've ammended my settings within this app after doing some research And in memory values I'm now running at 6/10/16/100/120/160 to keep my phone running snappppppy. To explain the values in brief...... if free memory goes below 160mb my phone starts to kill empty apps etc etc as free memory goes below next value the phone starts to kill corresponding apps. Kind of makes sense to me now. Ok I know my settings makes the phone kill more frequently but its damn snappy now,and it can lower the oom settings by long pressing the app in processes section you wish to lower and choosing lower oom. Lowering the oom basically gives the app less chance of being killed.
Personally I haven't had a low memory situation since I rooted and installed cm7, the app your talking about I have installed after reading one of your other posts about it, I presume that it would work the same way as juwes after setting the low memory values, I don't use those settings with it though as I have juwes script installed, the other tweaks seem fine but again I think I had some of them covered from editing my build.prop (still have work to do on that though) and a few other little things, I can't knock this app though as it does seem to have made my battery last a bit longer since installing yesterday, I'd personally rather change the settings myself than have yet another app doing it for me but until I figure which setting seems to be helping my battery out I'll keep it installed.
A couple of other apps which might help you keep it smooth,
Autostarts- I swear by this app its one of my best buys from the market, why use a task killer when you can just stop the app starting in the first place??
Fast reboot pro- after time apps hold memory which they don't really need, hit this and it'll quickly reboot everything (unless you tell it to leave something alone) freeing up spare ram.

Cheers for info, really happy with this app at the moment.by the sounds of things its doing similar job to other script mods, which I can't get working cos of s - off issue. Posted this for s on users benefit. Hope it helps others.
Edit my settings. Read 1st post.

The only problems I see with having higher settings are if it closes something you use regular it'll be slower to open that app, I'd rather keep them set low and have apps open quickly.

I agree but this app lets you temporary lower the oom level for apps,so I just lower oom on most important. Long click on process or service and to lower.

Does it?..........I didn't spot that nice find!!

Yep,long click app in service or process then choose to lower oom.it resets if you reboot so get your settings desired then leave by pressing home button.

Change the view from pages to mb and these are the values when it will start killing processes etc. Ie. When your memory gets to the amount your phone starts freeing up starting with the highest setting (empty apps)
Its all explained above, just that you have the pages view instead of mbs.
Quote " its healthy to have enemies, it means you've stood up for something you believe in "
ahh the pagesettings are the same as the MB ones?
i thought its two different things
thanks for the explanation!
btw. do you still use the same settings?
Yes to this day I still use this app even though I'm now s-off with the settings I posted,I will just double check and ammend if needed on 1st post.

I used to use that too and I felt some differance too but I think you have to open the program every boot. But some told me that it isn't just powerful as Supercharger so I deleted the optimiser and tried Supercharged and got a bootloop instead. I didn't get it to work but I believe that Supercharger is a better solution.

i tried supercharger and juuwes but had issues which i think were specific to me but one of the issues was bootlooping from supercharger as well as other things. im not saying one is better than the other but as you and myself had issues with one of the mods then its an alternative for others to use. i prefer this as you get to control the settings and mods yourself from the app. also this is available for s-on whilst the others i believe need s-off.

I got a boot loop from supercharger. I had to wipe my phone and start again from an RUU as all my previous backups became corrupted. Nightmare. TBH in the few days that it did work, i saw/felt no difference.
Using CM_7.1.0.1 probably wouldnt advise to use the supercharge, CM_7 minfree values are set to a pretty good level to keep things in order i think

I have tried supercharge script and does make phone smooth. Also Ive use ram manager new app and that too made phone smooth. But this app (Pro) is so far great. I tried out your settings for now to see if it suits me and had the app for an hour and the phone is very snappy and smooth (which is most important to me). I hope there is a slight battery improvement that many have said on the net but will test more and will leave feed back. A big thx m8!
no probs mate, like i said i have tried the lot and this one for me is really good and you get to be the controller lol.the only drawback i have noticed is that it takes a little longer for the phone to boot after a reboot but !!!!! im ok with that.
LMFAO looks like I didn't pay enough attention... I've used a lot of tweaks already to make my Willy faster, more snappy and stable but to be honest nothing gave it such a boost like that
BTW: are you still using the settings of the op?
Holy crap, I've read that really often here and elsewhere but it's the first it applies to myself: feels like a new phone

I see. I just have to sort things out now. Regarding the SD card read - I have it already done by sdbooster (@2048) - I'm at a point where I should make a documentation to stay on track and to avoid double tweaks lol.
I'm also very interested into scratch's build.prop lol (guess that would help to drop even more tweaks). Thx again - I've not forgotten about your tip re. AMO - just shifted it too far lol.
I usually play Fifa 12 with my xplay. it run so smooth but only when I reboot the phone before I play the game. So when I play Fifa12 during the day, There is so much lag and slowdown, Even with Hard gaming mode of ram manager pro and use fast reboot app before I play the game. on the other hand, if I reboot my phone. Every game run so smooth and I don't need to change to hard gaming mode in ram manager pro.
Any suggestion ?
ps. Sorry for my english
Because your system is probably using more ram in the middle of the day, after a reboot your system uses alot less & slowly increases, you should uninstall unused apps & close unwanted services & maybe use Advanced Task Killer (From The Play Store)

I had tried advance task killer to kill any task that show on screen. But the result is the same, the game (Fifa12) is still laging so much. Cannot be compared with its performance when reboot.
why on earth still people hold on to Task Killers when tons of reliable articles already prove they are useless and do more harm than good? oh good god
Android booster. Frees ram, actually freezes apps not kills them, saves battery. The problem is your ram is being used up. Easy fix though!
Uninstall the task killer if you are using one and let Android manage the apps on your phone by itself.

Im using die hard launcher and super ledded 512hp
V6 Supercharger settings ?
Hi,
First thread I read so far where people are mentioning they use V6Supercharger on XPeria Play.
I have a question :
Do you use V6 Supercharger on the stock 2.3.4 Sony-Ericsson ROM or are you applying it on a custom ROM ?
If on the stock ROM, what settings are you putting in ?
I ask before I tried to apply V6 Supercharger on my R800i under Stock SE ROM without success.
Frozen boot screen of death...
Had to recover through ClockWorkMod. Thanks ClockWorkMod !
Thanks for your feedback !
Hi there,
As nobody answered my call so far, I come back to give feedback on my own experience.
I tried again to install the V6Supercharger Script and manage to get through this time.
The first time, I guess I simply did not wait enough time.
In fact, I had to wait like almost 10 minutes on the Sony-Ericson XPeria logo (after the boot animation) before my phone came back to life.
It can be quite stressful !
After that, I went through the pin code entry screen and found out some of my widgets did not properly load and some applications were not showing up.
Therefore, I rebooted and everything went fine on the second time. All the apps showed up properly (only mixed up in the scrolling app section).
Launching the script again, it confirmed my phone was 100% supercharged with the following settings :
- DieHard launcher
- Rock&Roll Kernel
- Miscellaneous tweaks and 3G enhancement installed
- 512HP setting with V6 CustOOMizer option
- Minfrees set at 8, 12, 40, 47, 55 and 62MB
with 367MB of Ram (is this correct for the XPlay ?).
This was applied on the Sony Ericsson stock ROM 2.3.4 and the stock Kernel.
The first impression was that the scrolling between various home displays was faster.
I started Dead Trigger, running correctly (maybe just a bit slower, not sure) and when I exited the game, I had almost no Redraw time to wait.
Before V6 Supercharger, I used to wait around 5 seconds before all the icons were there again and I could scroll.
This time, the icons were right there and the scrolling hesitated for maybe 1 second but got super smooth again right after that.
Ok, this is to share my experience with you, guys.
No idea if anyone has experience on the XPlay ? Maybe using other settings ?
As there is a clear note that this script is not intended for heavy gamers, it tends to indicate it should not be really used on the XPlay, mainly used by heavy gamers.
What is your opinion on that ?
Cheers,
No more envy of your friends' iPhone which never become slow and battery hungry after lots of apps installed. With Greenify, your Android device can also run almost as smooth and lasting as the first day you have it!
Greenify help you identify and put the bad behaving apps into hibernation when you are not using them, stop them from battery leeching, memory hogging and stealthy running, in an elegant and unique way! They could do nothing without your explicit launch, while still have full functionality when running in foreground. Like what iOS apps act!
The built-in App Analyzer will analyze and show apps in your device that keep running persistent services and those launch itself automatically on a regular basis (when network connectivity changes, or every time you unlock your device, install / uninstall / update your apps, etc).
ROOT is required. If you are experiencing hibernation issue, this may be caused by your root management app (e.g. "SuperUser"), please try installing "SuperSU" instead.
here is the link
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify ( you can download it from attachments too !! )
There is also a donate version which lets you put system apps for hibernating as well!
Here's the link for that..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify.pro
Give it a try people and don't forget to thank the owner and me if I have helped..
OP I have removed the apk because the developer only wants it to be downloaded from the playstore (yours was the old version anyway). Here's the link Please don't do that again. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155737
Cool app! Missed this one until now. I'm wondering if there any advantages/disadvantages to "Greenifying" apps compared with "Freezing" apps with Titanium Backup. It seems that Titanium's freezing requires more work on the user's part. Their widget that freezes/unfreezes and launches and app is very similar. The difference is that I have to manually REFREEZE the app when done. Is this correct? If so, this is a wonderful app. Still testing...just installed. THANK YOU!
You are correct! I used to use titanium b/u pro.. But like u say, it requires much user attention and input. I much prefer greenify, and I seem to get better battery life with it too (likely because of the automation, thus less screen-on time = better batt life). Not sure if it gives better performance, cause I don't push my phone very much, and it was already fast as hell with tbp.. I'm running soa b4 right now, previously jmt6 worked great with both. Hope this helps

I don't know if I'm seeing much difference with this app. I have been using it for some time already, but most of my battery hogging apps (according to the greenify app) are messaging apps, tapatalk, etc that needs to notify me when it needs to. If I greenify these, I won't get any notification from them, right? Is this correct?
If so, then i'm not sure if will see much difference in battery life anyway..
I get a full 12 hour day with 20%+ left by 10pm

I don't know if it's just me or anythinh else. Did y'all notice Xperia stock android can't do multitasking very well? When I was on AOSP stock android 4.2.2 when I leave an app or switch to another one the previous app freezes/purges or something like that(I don't know the correct term) and when I come back to it, it stays where I left from. Meanwhile when I use stock Xperia android, when I leave an app open and when I return to it, it restarts, the app gets kicked out of the memory.
Because Aosp based Roms have more Ram free than stock ones, If there isn't enough free Ram when you're opening a new app, some apps running in background must be stopped to make room for newly opened app. The fact of the matter is lacking of Ram free.

How do you tweak OOM ? As i've never heard that word before. Btw, Removing bloatware, unnecessary system apps and exploiting "greenify" app to hibernate unused apps running automatically in background (even you do not need it) have been the best solution so far, this could improve a little bit lack of Ram free issue because we're aware of what's appropriating Ram then manage it better.

I would but I'm still waiting for the 3.4 kernel. It's very unstable.
I am currently on Xperia Nexus v3 and Trinity Kernel, and this gives me about 300MB free ram from the beginning. And I have used Greenify to help my low ram situation. However, Becuase I am running a lot of services in the background that I need, 300MB of ram is not enough for me and my phone lags like hell and always causing home launcher redraws etc.
So anyone can tell me how I can solve the problem? I heard AOSP ROMs gives more RAM, but then I won't be have cybershot mod along with AOSP, and camera is a big thing for me too.
Thanks guys for helping!!
In Linux, free RAM = wasted RAM
For "more RAM" it should mean "more usable RAM"
If Greenify really can't help you (it helps me a lot!), maybe you should uninstall some apps.
Ur lag isn't ram problem

Once I launch something like Brower, it closes my archives like LMT, call recorder etc, so free ram is not wasted ram in my case
And even I lock the launcher or even put in system, it stills redraw.
And I am already using custom Rom and kernels, and I believed it's already supercharged

There are a lot of ways the combat this issue. You can try simple fixes i.e uninstalling apps or closing background processes or the slightly more advanced stuff like the v6 supercharger script, u can also go to development options and limit background processes or choose the option to close app/process as soon as user leaves (forgot the actual title, but yeah u get the idea!)

v6 supercharger script only works in ICS, at least that's what is says on the page of the one who made it, if that script works in JB the one who made it should update his page from time to time.
