So I recently flash over my rom to the newest version of cyanogen 7 to get an app called blueputdroid to work and after a few tries I was able to get it to work.
This got me thinking that if my htc evo could be recognized and be able to work via bluetooth to control my ps3 there should be a way to make my evo work as a headset for my ps3 via bluetooth. So I can hear off the speaker of my phone and communicate back to others off of the mic.
Does anyone know of a way I could get this to work or may be an app already out?
I would love to know as well..
XDA Premium you hoe.
I've been wondering if this was possible since the evo came out,
I hope someone can do this, or maybe the developer should had that function.to his app(blueputdroid)

I don't think anyone's written something like that yet. In theory it could be done.
There are some relatively cheap bluetooth speakerphones out there that would do what you're after -- Amazon has some for around $30, and since you're not talking about using it in a car, a cheap one will probably work just fine.
I hope somebody works out something like this.,
Nobody has any info on this?

You guys might have heard the new N64 Emulator for Android came out. I know we can't use the wiimote, but is there any other sort of device/controller that is compatible with our phones? Thank you for your time.
Its there anyway to get the wii remote or the ps3 remote to work on the epic? Is it a software or hardware limitation?

Software, once we get cyanogenmod working then it will be a go.
if there a reason that other roms don't have that support? From the looks of it cm7 will be a ways off before we see anything official.

I was wondering if those guys were going to work on this. Apparently you can use a wii mote with the Nexus S because it uses Google's bluetooth stack instead of Samsung's. We just need someone to work on making those changes for us.

Well this is probably filed under weird forum posts but anyway.. i dropped my s3 a while back and replaced it, all is good. But i have this broken phone sitting around, the hardware is 100% intact, but the screen is not functional.. its black and no touch functions work.
I was wondering if i could garner some kind of use out of the phone, maybe find some way to store movies on it and somehow get them to play on my tv?
is this possible without being able to touch the screen?
any other ideas for my brick?
Sell it and make some cash, someone will want it for parts or something.

PM me an offer. I know what they go for on ebay
If you are on stock you could get an mhl adapter and hook it up to your TV, get a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and you now have a cell phone as a media center. Not sure how well it would work but it's worth a shot if you really want to use it.

I agree with naut. Get you a theme able custom ROM and pimp the hell out that mp3inc. Throw on some Pandora, some games, and a few good camera apps.

You could just send it to me! Haha, some people use it as a VOIP phone in there house. I think an app like GrooveIP will give you that option.

Personally I like having a second phone to quickly and easily show off something cool on the new phone via video. I had a d2g that had a bad esn (I thought I could use it in Europe, but was locked out there too) and I used it a lot for that.
Also I use it when going abroad, as it will work in Europe and the states.
Also, I love using my old phones as alarm clocks. You'd be amazed how many days an old BB Curve will last with all the radios turned off. I'm guessing a Dinc2 would be good that way too.

Two questions. Could it be a GPS without a data connection?
Also, does anyone know of an app that makes your phone networked attached storage and / or plug it into a hard drive and act as an interface for NAS?

I know GPS will work without data, but if you need to pull up directions for navigation, you need to be on WiFi to download the coordinates. After that if you don't make it re-route it will work. As for the 2nd question.....idk

really on all these ideas. I still have my Eris (though the trackball still scrolls left) as an emergency backup, mp3/Pandora player for in-house and garage (anywhere WiFi reaches), and white noise machine for sleeping baby.
Sometimes wish it didn't have that trackball issue so I could use it more efficiantly, so a fully operational DInc2 laying around would be an awesome thing to have.
What did you end up getting?
Thanks for the advice. I also like the idea of an experimental unit, now that I do not rely on the device daily, I can check out the jellybean rom and try out google now

I remember I used to get the eris trackball to start working by putting a piece of clean white paper on a table and rolling the trackball over it in a rolling motion. Always did the trick

Yea, I used up all the paper in the house. It only lasts for a short while now, but it does work for a little (usually). I even replaced the trackball with a blackberry one. I was thinking about trying just caking the area around the trackball/circuit board with JB weld to prevent flex which I think is causing the intermittent contact issue caused by the location of the charging port in relation to the trackball.
Ah well, either way it is extra and it wont be the end of the workl if I destroy it!
Yay for extras!

htc/Verizon asks that you place your inc2 on end of barrel of a 12 gauge, insert 3in slug, make it rain incredible flakes. now your inc2 has been officially updated by Verizon
Like someone else mentioned, the phone could be used as a VOIP home phone. All it requires is a Google Voice account and an app called GrooveIP (there's a free version, but the $5 full-featured version is definitely worth the money in my opinion). I also take it with me when I travel, since most airports and lots of hotels offer free WiFi, which allows me to make as many phone calls as I like without running up my minutes. I've been using my Inc2 for this purpose for awhile now, and it's very nice to have. I keep the phone in a dock and also use it for streaming music when I'm home as well as for my alarm clock. Just because the phone isn't activated on a wireless plan shouldn't mean that it can't serve a purpose.
Only other piece of advice; I would steer clear of ICS/JB based Roms if using it as a VOIP phone. I had nothing but trouble with the audio settings on GrooveIP. But the stock Rom, or any GB-based Rom should work fine. I use MROM (which is CM7 based) and it works exactly as expected.
For some odd reason, whenever I plug my Apple Earpods into my Xperia Play I get a notification telling me that the accessory is not supported. However, if I hold down the middle button on the Earpod's mic not only on does the phone recognize them, but they work fine. The catch is, if I stop holding down the button, the audio becomes much more quite. Worse, is the fact that there is a constant beating sound coming from the Earpods when no audio is playing.
Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Is there maybe an setting in the phone that I can tweak to make them work. Also, keep in mind that my other headphones work fine, it's just that the Earpods are much better, and I'd like to get them working.
Had the Holding down issue on my old Satio, and Im afraid it is possibly either down to a hardware issue or the fact that Sony decided to f* the 3.5mm jack as Im sure that only a few and selected headphones with Microphones will work bar the ones that Sony decides to rip of people like me.. I've managed to order a set of livesounds' for this reason..
My apple earphones dont work for my xperia play. Solution: get another set of ear phones.
I may have found a fix for this. Apparently this adapter should fix the problem.
