Is there a way to undervolt to save battery?
Undervolt can be done by simply reducing your cpu state, and current allocated for each hardware. Use setcpu or such and flash undervolt script in the Dev section (usually in kernel thread). You could tweak it yourself if you want to (don't ask me about it, I'm no dev).

Oh alright thanks! =)

you can try lormodue kernel and his uv script, it is amazing. but only for aosp rom.

Is there a kernel I can flash that will allow me to overclock past 1113 for cm7? I'm not worried about battery,HDMI or wimax. Thanks in advance.
Sent from my home phone.
Also do I use the set CPU app or the one built into cm7?

I am using SavagedZen (first link), and can overclock to 1190, which is about the highest I have seen for overclocking, the other kernel that is fairly popular for CM7 is Tiamat (second link) and I believe that they support overclocking also (not sure how much though).
If you are using a smartass governor, you will want to use the built in overclocking feature of CM7, but you will probably need SetCPU and profiles for the other governors

I am going away this weekend but I won't be able to charge my phone. What are your tips to help make the battery last (I'm on cm7 if it helps)
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Underclock it.
Disable wifi/3g/bluetooth
Lower screen brightness.
Disable tactile feedback/vibrations.
and disable animations and delete widgets you will not use. But indeed, I could get 4+ days out of my wildfire (stock rom) by just not using internet
Any cm7 specific tweeks and what should I underclock to
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Dunno if this'll help but disable JIT
And try thus UC:
Max 480
Min 245
Govenor: Powersave
Btw how do you reset battery stats

I made some screenshots for the stats.
I hope someone gonna help me.

Try with....

You can find it in the same page, really better

I'm using it, is the beastmode Kernel Vetter ?
Sent from my Desire™ HD With Beats Audio using xda app-developers app
Try the BeastMode kernel with a more power saving CPU governor like smartassV2
Hi thx for the reply can you plz give me a Link to to beastmode Kernel and cpu app

This is my favorite cpu control app

hi can you tell me what's the best config in DaemonController that i have to do ?
Well I use min 245mhz max 1024mhz with smartassV2 as governor. And you can search for BeastMode kernel, flash it.
I had battery jumps (still do sometimes) so I use Battery Calibrator (from the market, it's free) to delete the batterystats. I'm also using Virtuous' kernel (in combination with a "screen off" profile in SetCPU (128 min, 300 ish max - ondemand governor). If you haven't already, delete your HTC Sense account from the phone. It really chews through the battery (for very little reason).
My Desire HD is overclocked to 1.3ghz with all that and it's still at 87% charge after 3 hours (currentWidget is telling me it's been using 4-5mA with the screen off).
Can I set new frequency by shell?
Currenty I'm using sysfs(voltage control, vdd level) enabled kernel.
I want to set clock that isn't not on the table.
(most overclock apps like SetCPU only can select clock from table.)
Uxcl S6 and most kernel had 1516800(stock) instead 1476900(BeastMode) for 1.5GHz it's hard to undervolt.
Even freezes 1225 vdd. (1476900 stables on 1200 vdd.)
Want to set 1476900 on uxcl or virtuous kernel etc. without modding kernel's table don't have source for that

I think the frequency needs to be supported by the kernel. I don't know.

Hello,
i have htc wildfire s (marvel,rooted,s-on,stock 2.3.5 rom).i have facing problems with internal storage tweaks, like link2sd isn't working on my phone and also i have tried cronmod int2ext+ its working for a while (one-two weeks) then automatically my phone slow down and then restart self and all my apps data removed.
i dont know what is problem, might possible if i ported many different rom before?if anyone have solution please help.
Are you using stock kernel? Flash cake kernel or dust and try link2sd again.

im using stock kernel.can you send me link of both kernels and which one is best for good battery life? and also tell me about min, max, gov. setting for them because i dont know much.
and i just have to flash it via recovery ? i need to wipe anything like dalvik cache or partition cache?
thanks in advance.
I'm from phone so I won't be able to provide you link right now. You can search it in the development section.
You just need to flash the zip without any wipes or anything.
I personally like smartass v2 as it gives a balance between performance and battery with cfq scheduler. Set minimum to whatever doesn't give you lag and max to 787.

hey i m using cake kernel v1.4 by einstein frat
bt really i dont wana overclock my phone.i changed that setting.
my correct settings are:
122MHz-600 MHz
ondemand,deadline
my phone isnt lag.so is it good for good battery life?
or i should hv chose smartass v2 and cfq?
and really i dont want to overclock my phone so.
Smartass governor works better when it cones to savings battery as well as thrusting performance. I'd suggest you try it once. I really have no specific knowledge about any perfect input output scheduler but cm cones with cfq and i used to go with noop on my sense roms. It's all about smoothness isn't it?

And yeah with clocking to 600 Mhz you are definitely saving more battery than a higher clock so don't worry.

hey buddy.you were right, smartass v2 is better than stock settings.it gives me more life.
can you tell me min frequency is better when its high or low..like if i set min frequency to 122 MHz is better or 480 MHz is better?
i do what you said.i just flashed it without any wipes.so when i didnt wipe my old kernel so it overwrite it on? like stock kernel replaced by cake?
and im using set cpu app is good right?

Yes set cpu is good.
You can just flash kernel without any wipes.. Yes it should have replaced the old.
A lower cpu min cpu frequency is preffered but it should be high enough to cause no lag when unlocking the phone. 245 Mhz is the ideal frequency
