It won't let me post to the Synergy thread so I am starting this one. I have searched for the answer in that thread but couldn't find it.
First one is when I press and hold an icon to move it or delete it I get the following message:
The application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Also when I click on the + button to add icons/widgets it launches google search.
Phone is an Evo 4G. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Seeing the same thing with RLS1 (no godmode). Cleared cache/davlik multiple times and also tried reflashing the ROM.
Also seems that one of the home panels is broken -has the radio tuner and half of a couple other widgets to the right - one may be Friendstream. Trying to drag these to remove also FC Sense. Also while I did have the tuner widget on that panel before flashing, none of the others were there, so it looks like something add by this ROM as opposed to an old widget.
Seems after re-flashing, the phantom cutoff apps on the tuner panel have now changed to load a couple random twitter messages - not anything current either. That would make me think some data is corrupted - been trying to avoid wiping data and doing setup yet again, but may have to bite the bullet.
Tried something new today. Went into Titanium and wiped data for a few of the HTC sense related apps. Then magically, my home screen panels changed back to pre-Synergy. This includes the calendar widget, and my bookmarks widget. FriendStream now appeared on a new panel, but I'm now able to drag and remove it.
Also, lost the new Synergy message panel where all the text convos are are flippable cards. We'll see what happens with these the next time I reboot.
Just noticed that voice search doesn't hear any speech when bluetooth is enabled. As soon as bluetooth is disabled, it works perfectly.
Also seems that 4G is always stuck in 'turning on' mode, but never actually turns on. I am in an area with 4G, so I know it should find 4G at least some of the time.
shameless bump to get to the magic 10 posts limit so this can actually be posted in a thread where the Synergy folds might at actually read it.

Something funny, don't know if anybody has seen this....
On my main screen I have the WiFi & Mobile widgets from HTC.
on the third screen (swipe to the right) i have those widgets in exaactly the same location.
But no wthe funny thing..... I was having trouble with my mobile data connection so i wiped the phone. Then i put the widgest on the same place and everything is working fine. I try to repair my mobile data connection in various ways so plenty of reboots.
Then i decided to see hwat's going on inside and i installed logcat. After doing this, the widgets didn't respond anymore. I could tick them but they would not change. However i could see wifi coming on in the status bar so every thing seemed to work execpt for the widget itself beeing updated.
Getting bored with the widget I decided to remove the widget. But after removal, another one (on the same position) was still visible. I removed that one too. Exactly the ssame happened with mij mobile widgget.
I have seen this "stacking of widgets on top of each other" so far with the contacts widget, agenda widget, wifi widget, and mail widgets......
Has anybody seen this.
So my phone was in working order again couple of reboots later i decided to install bugreport to again see what was going on insid ethe log...
Same behaviour.....
I Deinstalled them and have not seen this behaviour again..... but i wonder what's causing this behaviour
some times when I close services / apps etc.. system ones.. I get wigits on top of each other on one page , I thing scroll to the next page .. lock my phone ,,, and unlock it.. everything is back to normal ...
hey guys.
i just got a strange problem pop up on my phone. i uninstalled some htc stuff that i never used. also uninstalled some programs i had that wasnt really using. restarted the phone and everything was working well.
i started trying all the apps i have shortcuts for (in LPP) just to make sure everything still works.
the phone rebooted in the middle of all that...and when it was done with the bootanimation rather than a lockscreen i got
"Sorry!
System process is not responding
Force close Wait"
i force closed it and it's been on a black screen until now. i can press the screen off button and the backlight turns off. i press it again, backlight comes on. same for the capacitative buttons. but no other response from the phone?!?!
what the heck can cause this?
last things i did was dial my wife to make sure the dialer was working. hung up as soon as her phone started ringing. then opened volume button controller, and finally setcpu. went back to homescreen and before i could open another app the phone restarted. and this happened.
could this be from opening setcpu?! but why? i've had it for months and never had a problem with it before? i have a nandroid from about a week ago but i've so many improvements since that i'd rather try to fix this first before restoring nandroid.
any idea what happened?!
for now i'm going to try to uninstall setcpu and reflash the kernel through adb in case it's that...
please give me ideas!!!
EDIT: adb sees the phone and i can see the phone's files without going into recovery...in that black screen/not working mode that it's on right now?!
What stuff exactly (and I mean exactly) did you delete? You will be surprised at what is important.

nothing that i didnt know what it was. only apps and widgets like calculator, browser, friendstream etc.
i rebooted the phone through adb shell and it loaded fine this time. i'm reading on some posts elsewhere as to what can cause this. i dont want this happening while i'm not home and i dont have adb shell to reboot the phone!
EDIT: i also deleted some of the sense stuff, like the sense launcher. i have LPP set to default.
also a couple of minutes before this happened i lost signal for a while and opera would refuse to see a connection even though i was connected to my wifi? dont know if this is related as it felt like a bunch of weird things happening at once when then phone is typically very well behaved...

I read in one thread that FriendStream is needed to handle a lot of the background synching. I would try reinstalling that and see if things clear up.
Granted, I could be completely off, so...
I'm not a frequent poster, so excuse me if this isn't he right place to ask.
I have a TP2, RHOD500, Sprint flashed to Boost
My ROM is Standard Energy 21xxx (with the old start button). Hopefully, other can refer here for these issues, if they haven't already been fixed:
1) Activesync icon on taskbar, overlapping signal bars
I've seen a reg edit to make it invisible, but on other energy roms, (like GTX), the symbol does not overlap the signal. Is there a non-invisible option?
2) Random Start Button Freezes/Temp Phone Freezes
When I go to the home screen, MANY times the start button locks up and doesn't come up. But I can still use the home screen and press buttons and launch apps. It would take about 2 minutes before the start button works, or a soft reset.
Also, the entire phone freezes on the home screen. I would sometimes tap around to see if it works, and nothing happens. 2 minutes later, whatever program I tapped comes up, but when I return to the home screen, it's still frozen. Perhaps sense freezes? If so, how can I still launch apps from it, though it does delay?
3) All Settings option doesn't work
I go to the settings on Sense and then click "Menu" and "All Settings". The screen dims, as if the settings was to come up, but nothing happens. I click the screen, and it takes me back to Sense settings, as if I was clicking out of a window.
That's really it. I though Energy would be awesome, but it just made the phone all buggy in these respects. "Why don't you go back to stock?" Well, might as well try to solve the problem than quitting right? Well, any help would be appreciated, and if I have to move this topic, let me know. If you need any more info, just let me know.
try reflashing the rom onto your device, Ive found that doing that sometimes fixes some issues...maybe you got a problematic download too...I'm running the April 29th sense 2,5 sencity rom, build 21916, and it's flawless...I would also suggest posting in the thread for that rom/device, you're likely to get support there
Alright, Ill try that. I did flash at a comp that wasn't my own, so that opens the door to outside variables. I didn't think of that.
And yes, I will move this thread and questions after I reflash if any problems persist.
Thank you.
I just got this phone as an upgrade from my EVO 4g. I miss a couple of things and was wondering if it is a mod that already exists? On my EVO... not sure if it worked on the stock as I have not been back to stock in a while but almost every rom allowed for each notification to be dismissed individually by swiping or a similar action. Is there anything like that for the Epic 4g Touch... really annoying to wake up to 8 notifications and have to go thru each one and launch each app or erase them all.
Thanks!
I wonder about this too.
Usually when there's notifications you can simply hit the clear button to clear them all, but that will also rid notifications that you haven't acknowledged.
Never mind I should have read closer: you want to just clear specific ones.
This would be nice, but to my knowledge it doesn't exist.
Cyanogen Mod Can
Yup, and if you were to search google for:
cyanogen samsung epic 4g touch rootzwiki
The top result might interest you.
You just swipe individual notifications off the screen.
WARNING: No 4g yet. And supposedly GPS works only if you get a lock with a touchwiz rom first. Clear cache/dalvik and then flash that.
I'm using it now and it's pretty solid. No FCs or hangups, but some weird Bluetooth music player behaviour from time to time.
Hello there,
I am posting this thread with a problem. Roughly a year ago I purchased the HTC M9 (after 2 very satisfied years using the M7). Up untill about a week ago everything was working fine for me, the only small issue I've had so far is the lack of memory space. Although this issue was easily solved by simply upgrading my device using a Sandisk SD card.
However, since a couple of days my device started overheating very quickly and lagging. Again, I tried to fix this by rebooting the phone and using CCleaner to clean up some of the junk on the device. Now here comes the actual problem: this morning I was simply using the Youtube app to watch a video when my device suddenly crashed (with 50% battery life). I plugged my phone into a charger and booted up the device again but I get a an error report saying "Sense Home stopped working", which means I'm currently unable to use my device. For some reason the HTC report function is bugged aswell, as I cannot seem to send an error report to HTC.
Can anybody tell me what is going on here and how I could solve this problem? I'm very dependent on my phone because of university and work and would like to fix this as soon as possible and preferably not with a hard reset.
Thanks in advance.
Okay I went ahead and tried out something myself based on the following on a thread on androidcentral com titled ""Unfortunately, HTC Sense has stopped" loop" (I'm not allowed to post links yet)
So I went to Apps and cleared the cache of the Sense Home app (without being in safe mode). My phone started working again, but I lost alot of information as apps like Whatsapp and Google Chrome are completely reset and I lost my contacts. Is there any way I can fix this process?
I cleared my cache but my device is still keeping me in that damned Loop. I don't want to lose my pictures or videos. What else can I do? I have an HTC One M9.

"Boot the phone as per normal, ignore the "Sense Home has stopped" message for now.
Pull down the notification drawer,
Tap on the cog to get into settings (once in settings clicking ok on the "Sense home has stopped" message should make it dissapear so you can see what you are doing),
Go into Apps,
Go into Sense Home,
Tap on storage,
Tap on "Clear Data".
This will delete all the data stored with the Sense Home app, not your photos or messages of contacts or anything like that.
You will have to re-configure your home screen(s) though :-/
Once you've done that you should be good to go.....You may need to reboot."
I have the same problem which started at the same time.
Tried everything, clearing Sense cache, system cache from recovery, installed custom recovery and Revolution HD rom its all the same... Everytime after few minutes or hours same problem occurs! Loop Sense crashing, rebooting, wifi turning on and off by itself...
Please someone help
Hi guys, I had the same problem just two weeks ago. Tried cache clearing, factory reset, yada yada yada. Despite all the error report pop ups I managed to use Google app to get to play store, and updated sense home from there. That did the trick. I lost all my contacts and apps but still the phone works again.

Thanks, great solution, apps and everything still there - I was so worried. For me this problem was a show stopper, do I even consider getting another HTC phone?? Why can't HTC modify Home Sense to disable the alert, once initiated, when the battery is fully charged, then this very annoying, irritating and phone disabling problem would just go away?
