You don't want Jacobs Kernel anymore.
Wipe Cache partition
Reset data / factory reset
Format System
Format Boot
Wipe Dalvik cache
Then Flash the new rom
thanx for reply. actually i tried all dese and it dont work.. now i installed cyanogen but not installed gaaps package and it turns on fine after installing and working gr8 from last day.. so now how could i get gapps on my wildfire on cyanogen rom?? i just want google market to download stuff, nothin else.. how could i???
probably you flashed a Google apps with wrong resolution?
this is the right one:
http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip
It is linked on first post in Nightly builds thread... so I wonder why you didn't see it before!?
bcoz i didnt downloaded nightly build or not visited that thread. i visited cyanogen 7 stable nd the gapps which was there listed i downloaded that one..
and it was
gapps-mdpi-20110301-signed
now dnt know whether it was right or wrong..
anyways.. thanks for help.. will see if ur one works or not..

Went from DK Custom Froyo V4.6.2 to CM7 and phone started to boot loop, this solution fixed the problem. (Took me a lot of search time on this forum )
Wildfire; Revolutionary S-OFF, CWM 5.0.2.0
I install CM 9.0 on my ARC with this expression http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_Xperia_Arc:_Full_Update_Guide but when phone is open I have an error message "Unfortunately,Setup Wizard has stopped." on my screen and my phone doesn't open. What will I do?:crying:
Try reinstalling it, and use THIS one instead.
I install stock ROM and stock kernel,I root it,unlocked bootloader after this I install CWM Autoinstaller on Google play, install CM 9.0 RC2 Kernel and when phone open I push the back button wipe data, factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache I install zip file CM 9.0 RC2 but error everything
Flash the FXP kernel instead.
Hello
I flashed pacman rom 22.3 in a phone and I seem to get error sometimes " PAC is LOADING " and usually afterwards it restarts! It's not very common!
I am not sure what is causing this : I flashed my ROM and then clear dalvik/wipes and cleared dalvik/wipes before flashing as well.
Also I am using HTC Desire HD of AT&T (Inspire 4G).
Anyone who solved this problem ? And anyone having any idea what causes this error so I can try to fix it if it is bug related ?
Cheers
why you must clear dalvik/wipes after flashing the rom..?
what about if you try it just wipe data/ factory reset from recovery before flashing the rom and then nothing to wipe anything else after that..
[EDIT] Fix in the post below for the flashing problem. I explained my G-App problem on the post below.
Hello,
recently I flashed CWM 5.0.2.7 "ext4+rfs" on my Galaxy Gio and made a Nandroid backup. After having made a Wipe data/Factory reset, then wiping cache and Dalvik-cache, I installed this ROM (Cyanogenmod 10.2 for Gio) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448578
Now my problem is that the phone won't get past the Cyanogenmod loading screen, and I can't restore the Nandroid backup because of a "E:format_volume: format_rfs_device failed on /dev/block/stl12 Error while formatting /system!" message.
If it is possible, I woud really like to either have a solution to get my phone working with the factory ROM that is contained within the Nandroid backup or to fix the loading screen.
Thank you.
I fixed the problem by using a .zip which had empty /system and /data partitions then updated the phone with it.
Now, I installed the Maclaw Cyanogen 11 ROM and have another problem, I can't get any GAPP working with that ROM.
When I flash the G-APPS zip, it tells me the update was succesful, but the apps never appear.
Any leads ?
Thanks.
I've Searched and all the posts i have found haven't helped.
I originally had CWM and CM11 installed on my S4. After some slowdowns and freezing on my phone i decided to do re-install/upgrade of the rom. However after the install and installing the required gapps all i get is constant app crashes/errors.
Steps i took:
Backup Via CWM
Cleared Cache and Dalvik Cache
Formatted Data and System
Installed "cm-12-20150405-NIGHTLY-jfltetmo" then "gapps-lp-20141212-signed" from cyanogenmod website
When that failed, I installed TWRP via oden and tried again but with the same results. I tried other versions of G-apps but the errors persist. If i just do the CM12 without Gapps it works just fine.
Has anyone seen this, can you suggest anything i have not tried yet?
