Go back into download mode and redo odin this time don't pull.

no luck.. great :/
Let it sit for a little bit ...
but if that doesn't work
delete everything off of your sd card ...
go to sprint tell them you finally let it get the OTA upgrade and now it wont boot up.

If it was caused by an OTA update and they can't boot it then tey will replace it for you free because it was the OTA update's fault not yours

Did you try with the battery removed, and just connected via the USB?
I also think there is a special pin hole on the back under tha back case, that does a full drain/reset, but I couldn't find the thread that showed its location with a quick search

OK....long story short...finally decided to delve into rooting and custom roms. Flashed CM6 yesterday and everything was going great. Then suddenly yesterday evening as I was swiping between home screens on my device everything froze, and I have been trying to recover ever since.
Anything I flash now just freezes, and i have a touch panel-fail so even when i do get a rom to boot i cant actually get into set it to usb mode or anything.
using bootloader i can not get it to connect using the adb driver so that I can push via adb.
about an hour ago I was successfully able to run the latest RUU and it ran successfully, but device is still way laggy (takes 15 minutes to boot) and no touch screen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! don't know where to go from here. From what I have read its not bricked because I can get into Bootloader and Recovery???
Just a shot in the dark here, but it sounds like since you're stock now it's an actual hardware failure.

Is there way I can verify that the RUU did indeed flash *EVERYTHING* back to stock?
It seen like you have a HARDWARE issues, Re-Boot the Stock Rom. Call Sprint and explain what's going on with your phone, please *DO NO'T MENTION YOU ROOTED YOUR PHONE* Tell them you try to wipe your phone and it was really laggy before you wipe, since you gonna Re-Boot the stock rom the phone is going to get UNROOTED, I know this cause I work at Sprint... So good luck...

I definitely wont rule out hardware issues...this is a refurb device i just swapped my original EVO for on Monday. I guess I just want to rule out any software issues for sure.
You mention that re-booting the stock rom will UNROOT the phone...however I hav no way to currently re-boot the rom??
Also looks like i can not get into recovery now, when I select the option in the bootloader it just takes me to the screen with a picture of a device and a red triangle

Hey guys, I think I screwed up here and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem:
Basically, I had a rooted E4G Touch with a custom ROM installed. I went to install ANOTHER custom ROM THROUGH ODIN, as this previous ROM (I believe it was a Calkulin variant) did NOT have CWM recovery. During the ODIN process, something went wrong, and my computer/ODIN...basically, everything froze up while doing the MODEM portion. NOW I can't do anything.
- CWM was able to install on the thing...but it does not recognize my external SD card now. Every time I try to mount it, I get a "Error mounting /emmc".
- I'm still able to get into download mode on the phone, however the phone is not recognized on any computer I've tried. I've attempted multiple computers/USB cords and nothing picks it up.
I'm running out of ideas here. I picked up a USB jig that should be here soon, so I'm going to try that and reset the counter....which leads me to my next question: If I use that, can I take the thing back to Sprint and get a replacement? I have the insurance plan and everything, so if they won't take it back because of the custom software I guess I could always smash it or something...
Any help would be appreciated!

The ROM you flashed through ODIN was for this phone, right?
What custom ROM are you referring to that was available through ODIN?
assuming you flashed the right ROM, start with the basics..if you can get into download mode then try a simple reboot of your computer. Sometimes Odin won't recognize after it has been run

It was the CyanogenMod 9 rom that is out there right now. IN the post (I'm having trouble finding it as I'm not at that computer right now) they had an ODIN variation for people such as myself, where you were to flash that and then go back through to update it to the latest version.

And I just realized I posted this in General and not Q&A...and chance I could get this moved since I am clearly out of my mind right now?

The only odin component involved with flashing CM9 is flashing a gb kernel with a CWM recovery. I haven't seen a cm9 tar, this is why I'm confused. Finding out exactly what you flashed will help in understanding what the problem is.
To flash cm9 you need to odin a gb cwm kernel and then boot to recovery and install cm9. However, that's not a tar, its an update.zip.

Yeah it was definitely a tar.md5 file, which leads me to believe I was incredibly dumb and possibly flashed a ROM for a different model phone. I'm having difficulty finding the post now which is very strange. This could be one of those moments where I take a good hard look in the mirror and figure out just what the heck I was thinking.
I'll keep looking for what exactly I did wrong, but in the mean time is there anything else I could attempt or look for short of attempting that USB jig and making a trip to Sprint? I'm feeling like a huge idiot right now. I've done this how many times now and when I finally make a mistake, it turns out to be huge.

Well ultimately you can try uninstalling / reinstalling drivers. But you say this issue exists across multiple pcs so that likely isn't it.
You can try another cable and see if you have any success with that.
Other then that, it kinda really depends what is in that tar you flashed. Once you find it, post the link, and that will help troubleshoot your issue.

Negative, I started right at the "Using the noob-proof ODIN method:". It said noob-proof and I decided that would be the easiest. It turns out it is very easy...if you're flashing to the correct phone Plus, I'd used ODIN before and felt comfortable with it.

I just downloaded the tar to have a look at whats included.
After flashing this you'll have a bootloader for the intl. sgs2. This is a problem many ran into when original SGS2 leaked tars started surfacing as well.
JTAG might be able to fix it, I'm not sure whether people with this issue were successful or not with JTAG repair as the intl gs2 flashing boat seems to have sailed now. However, a jig will likely do nothing, unfortunately.

I don't foresee it working only because your phone isn't recognized by your pc and the problem doesnt lie on the pc side.
The problem is instead with the port on the phone which leads me to believe it won't recognize a jig either.
A jtag if successful will leave you with more money in your pocket and a non-returb. Something to consider if you've got a backup phone you can use for a few days.

That is your hope to get back to stock using mobile Odin someway .... Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and I'm looking for a little help today.
I rooted my new Sprint Galaxy S III using Odin3-v3.04, and CWM_SuperUser_v3.0.7. Afterwards I rebooted and all was good.
I then downloaded I9300_Omega_v6.0_XXALF6 ROM and loaded on my phone and rebooted into recovery to install the ROM. I went through the install process, selected remove bloatware and installed. When finished I checked the reboot phone and clicked finish. The phone turned off and didn't ever turn back on.
I have pulled the battery and tried to power on using recovery, download mode and just power but nothing works.
Anyone have any idea what I can do?
Thank you for your time and help.

New phone on the way!
I was able to get a replacement sent from Sprint. Had to go to a corporate store and have a tech look at the phone and they agreed it was toast...
Luckily they didn't know it was due to my failed attempt to load an unsupported ROM.
Lesson learned... new phone should be in by the end of the week.
I'll be waiting for a supported ROM this time.

What happened is that you flashed a rom that was meant for the international version of the S3 and your on the US version. The only fix I have found is to send it to mobiletechvideos.com. I did and they say they can fix it and maybe save my data I have on it ( I just sent it in)
My fingers are crossed for the data recovery but as far as the phone I am going to send it for a exchange anyway.
Welp, I'm sad to say I just did the same thing too. Should have read. I'm a stinkin noob at this. I installed the I9300 version on a US version phone. Has there been any more development on this? Is the hardware fried, or is there a fix through that mobiletechvideos.com that was mentioned? What was the outcome of that, Taygutta, if you don't mind me re-bringing back up a potentially painful topic?? This thread made me a little sick, since it's my brother's new phone (someone else that knew what they were doing rooted it for him but he didn't like the rom, so I thought I would help him find a few other options to try flashing.)
Anyway, any confirmation that I'm buying my brother a new phone (so I can emotionally prepare for the purchase) or are there some other options?
There's one more thing you can try. There's a little device called a USB Jig. It was made for SGS-2 to clear the yellow triangle and reset flash counts in ODIN mode. It also puts your phone in ODIN mode by simply plugging it into the USB port of a powered down phone. Once in ODIN mode, you can reflash a stock ROM, recovery, etc. You can buy these for around $20 or less on the web.
If this does not work, I'm afraid nothing will.
Good luck.

I have tried every troubleshoot trick provided by tmobile and samsung and the phone wont respond in any way. Just a black screen. Is it possible to brick your phone with out trying to flash a custom ROM??? The only thing new I have done in the past week was install "graph ti89" and "aviate." I dont know if this has anything to do with it but tmobile has being try to get me to install the kitkat OTA for the last week and I keep ignoring it.

So I think my phone is hard bricked. I was on G+ ealier today, clicked on a link that opened Chrome. got through a third of the web page and my phone freezes then the screen goes black...

Hi,
Do the update or factory reset your phone. You can always use KIES also.

Thanks for your input but the phone won't turn on at all. Can'T turn it on to update. Won't go into safe mode by pressing vol. up&home&power. When I plug it into the computer it says it needs drivers for "QHSUSB_BULK." Kies doesn't see it as a connected device...
If you haven't done anything to the phone why not call Tmobile and get a replacement..

A few threads down you would have found this... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47555043
My recovery image is here: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?6nu61z43y51v3k4
You need a 32 GB sd card and some luck. Also reading is a requirement.
Yours may be a special case though, as you claim nothing was going on besides you clicked a link. Should have absolutely nothing to do with ota, and everyone else who had done this was messing with their phone. This definitely works for 4.3, but no one had reported working on 4.4 (you were on 4.3 anyways). Good luck.

Mr Noobtoob, has anyone reported un-bricking a N900t running 4.4.2 (1st release, believe it ends in N94 or similar, NOT NE6)?
If so, did they do anything different?
Be well.

I have not seen a successful report back of the nb4 firmware. Doesn't mean it doesn't work, just don't have confirmation.
Fusionized tweaking tapatalker here...
Thanks for the quick response!
Going to try, and will report back.
To clarify, it must be a Class 10 microsd card, and must be the same size (32gb), 1st formatted to exfat, correct?

Got it! So, to be clear;
1st - Format class 10 card to Exfat file system or structure
2nd - Using Win32Diskmapper, just point to the file (in my case kk900tunbrick image) and write to card. *Nothing special, should I verify Md5 sum, or just leave it as default settings?
3rd, Proceed to attempt to Unbrick (Battery at 100%, Put Sd card in slot, Then Add Battery, Connect cable - some say, some say doesn't matter, to computer, then attempt to boot with button sequence to download mode, or may boot by itself?)
Also, if the 1st image I downloaded does not work, can I reformat or wipe the sd card and start again with the other file (I believe a Pit file??)
Hey guys, I have everything that I need except the files to boot my phone. My phone has been hard bricked for 2 days already and attempting to clean the partition and the hardware bug on my phone. The phone is however unresponsive and cannot go into download mode. So if someone is kind enough and have/created a debrick.img, can you kindly put the img files so I can fix this phone.
I'll hook you up when I get a chance if nobody beats me to it. Having a debrick file on hand is a great idea. Just so other readers know its going to be late tonight when I get time so if you know how you should do it.

Here you go! Tell me if this works I will have more time tomorrow to trouble shoot the dump if it doesn't work. I trust since you asked for it you know how to properly use it. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712470742

This is not for you, this is for recovering from a bad brick your problem is you tried to update to 10m via ota with twrp installed. You have a couple solutions to fix just not this.
Sure but this is for hard bricked meaning that the sd partition have failed and the phone wont turn on or go into download mode which cause the G3 to be unresponsive

best options:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/general/fix-recovery-loop-twrp-computer-t2873386 (input everything EXACTLY you will still be on C)
or if that didn't work
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/general/firmware-t-mobile-lg-g3-t2818667 (read from top to bottom and you will know what your best option is for you)
short term fix:
Factory reset (I think this will work)
or
Install a custom rom via removable sd card or otg cable (If the best options fail at least you have a working phone until you figure it out)

Fingers are crossed! if win32diskimager doesn't seem to work try to write it to the card multiple times and if it keeps failing and you have access to linux dd will most definitely work.
If you come to the conclusion the debrick is bad ill make a bigger one and keep doing so until we decide this will work for you or not.
The files aren't working ( I think its me doing something wrong) but I attempt to fix it again in the morning EST. Sorry that I'm a nuisance and wasting your time D:

Did it write to the sdcard? If so I would assume in order to get it to boot you would need to remove the battery and put it back in then hold the volume up + plug it into the computer.
Yea, I'm writing it again and trying to do that method again

If it seems to not work ill make a 200,250,300,350,400 mb dumps and send them all your way. If one of them do not work I will dump the entire partition and find out where it is hiding.

Yeah I need to get to bed and have a semi busy day tomorrow. Luckily its all house work and I should find time here and there to take a brake and do some dumps. I cant see it needing to be bigger than 200mb but we will see.

Thanks man! This is what it looks like after writing it to disk imager. Don't know if this is correct way or not. Is it possible to create repartition and boot.img into the G3?
