Hi, i've installed cyanogenmod 7.0.3 and i want to remove the apps which comes with that rom,can i do that?
You can use root uninstaller.
I have kept the Froyo stock rom and removed the apps I didn't like through the app Titanium Backup, just go to the tab "Backup/Restore" and tap on the app you want to remove and hit "Un-install !"
Beware not to remove apps that are used by the ROM

I reccomend you to install a custom rom, you'll see the difference

I think you also have to make sure, that the "Chuck Norris Mode" is activated (in the prefences of Titanium).
As the others said it, use Titanium Backup options.

True, that option was standard ticked when I opened Titanium. But if it's unticked you have to select that option

Is there a way to create a flashable zip to reinstall all my apps in one swoop. Currently when I restore from a titanium backup I have to press install on each app which takes quite sometime just curious if there was a quicker and more effective way to restore apps + data

The full version of titanium backup does all the installs with one click. Well worth the $6.XX.

totally worth every penny!
Also...I recommend you only restore app data....system data always seems to mess things up for me.
Use batch restore does em all at once

I thought he was talking about having to hit accept from the market for every app. Looking back though it can be for either or, but since he had backups I'd like to hope he batched them lol.
If you were talking about restoring them all (Not the install each individual from market popup) you can go to:
Backup/Restore > hit menu > Batch > Run restore all apps,

It does it either way. The only difference is if you're on the free version, you have to manually install it, it'll go app, press to install, app, press to install, until it does all of them. On the paid version, it does all of them, without you accepting each time.
Paid version of Titanium is the best money I've spent on my Evo yet (followed closely by Root Explorer). Sooooo worth it for that feature.
I just rooted my phone with unevoked 3. I read to install titanium backup to uninstall the phones apps like stocks, footsteps, ect. When i installed titanium backup, it says i dont have root. I know I do because i saw superroot permission. Can anyone tell me how to remove those apps... thanks
Boot into bootloader and be sure it says s-off. If it does, go to the market and install busybox. Or go to titanium backup and click the "problems" button.
Edit: Just do what teh roxxerz said

1. Run the "fix problems" , that will do it
2. Reboot the phone
Then go back into titanium, tap backup/restore at the top, find the app you want to uninstall, then select > uninstall.
that did it...thank you!!!

You're welcome.
I bought Rom Toolbox because i read u can backup and restore apps without problems but thats not the case with me. I backup all the apps fine then i would go on to flash xROM now i wanna restore the apps.. but when i do it always hangs on a random app every time. I can restore each app individually but never batch restore...also for some reason it wont restore data like my dolphin browser i have some bookmarks and stuff n i restored with rom toolbox and it restored the app but not the bookmark n stuff i had on there. Does this mean im doing something wrong? Or is there an option i need to turn on.
Nope, I had that very issue. My guess its a app bug that they haven't fixed yet

Oh so im not the only one with this issue... hope someone can shed some light on this.
Been thinking about purchasing the app.. Free version works fine for me but from what I see this could be a deal breaker.. For now anyways since I do batch install with the free version with no problem.

I tried out the free version and same issue.... idk whats going on....
Just used an older version and it works fine

I occasionally have that problem with titanium backup with a random app, but never any issues with Rom toolbox..
Ok could having both tb and rom toolbox be the cause? Or should i try an older version? If so which one?
Ok i found out Rom Toolbox backs up my app but not the data. Now when i batch backup data for some reason it hangs at a random app... also when i wanna batch restore app + data it hangs also. If i try to restore a single app it does that fine but it won't restore the data with it. If i try to restore the app with data it just hangs... so I'm not sure what's the problem.. tib does not have this problem but i heard its not good to restore data on ics with tib. Anyone else experience this?

go to titanium back up...when you back up apps...it asks you...app only...or app + data... and it does the same thing will hang up on a random app...
Just did it and it did not hang unlike rom toolbox which hangs everytime.
I had to go into system settings -> Applications -> Development and check "USB debugging". Rom Toolbox wasn't restore apps before, but is now restoring them after I checked this option. The description that pops up when you check it says it allows apps to be installed without the users knowledge.
Rom Toolbox uses silent restore in it's batch mode so you don't have to tap "install" and "done" for each app that's restored, so USB debugging is important.

I had the same problem, and USB debuggig worked for me, so thanks! Great advice!
Also, I'm on a Cyanogen based rom and I had to disable "verify ADB installed apps" to get it working...
Hi guys,
I´ve just rooted my phone and I´d like to remove some of the stock applications but when I go to settings -> apps -> the option to uninstall the stock apps is not available. My phone is just perfect right now and I REALLY don´t want to install a new rom or whattever. I just want to be able to uninstall all the junk that HTC has installed by default. How can I do that?

I AM rooted.
Install titanium backup and with a tap on apps that you want to remove, select: "disable" or "unistall"
Sorry for my bad reading.

Thanks. It works
can someone please help me. It's driving me nuts.
I can not disable nor uninstall S planner. The disable button is grayed out, I can only force stop, but it restarts after I reboot my phone. It is very annoying.
Titanium Backup?
it is safe to remove Samsung Apps such as S Planner, S Voice using "Force remove app" function?

It depends on that software and his role...cuz many OEM apps share their lib and other files
However...normally it is safe!

I just deleted them, if anything goes wrong I'll just reflash the rom.
Titanium Backup is the best.

Just freeze with Titanium backup so you dont have to reflash ROM
SystemApp Remover or other similar app.
