Cannot uninstall apps - HTC One X

Hi guys,
I´ve just rooted my phone and I´d like to remove some of the stock applications but when I go to settings -> apps -> the option to uninstall the stock apps is not available. My phone is just perfect right now and I REALLY don´t want to install a new rom or whattever. I just want to be able to uninstall all the junk that HTC has installed by default. How can I do that?

You need root and titanium backup

I AM rooted.

Install titanium backup and with a tap on apps that you want to remove, select: "disable" or "unistall"
Sorry for my bad reading.

save apps and personal settings before rom upgrade?

Hi,
sorry i am quite new to the whole rom upgrade issue.
Recently i installed Pauls Mod for the Desire. After installing some Apps i did a Backup via Titanium Backup (Batch -> Backup all user apps + system Data).
Then i installed the Ahmgsk modified version (wiped all -> installed rom). Then i did a restore via Titanium Backup.
Some of the Apps do not work and i had to reinstall them (Google Earth, all Apps which need Superuser Permission, Swype etc..).
All Settings (APN, Google Accounts etc..) were gone.
Is there any way to backup and restore some of these settings? Do i really have to do a full wipe before installing the new rom?
thx in advance.
also awaiting an answer to this.

Come from WM and this is the type of noob question I now need to know the answer to!
Would use UC for WM - are the settings held on the storage card somewhere??
I guess most of the basic reading is going to be somewhere in the older Android device forums.
Would be great if someone would put some links in a sticky to 'what new Android users really need to know!'
I need to get edumacated!
i think nandriod does this trick afaik

[Q] Change Google Accounts/Titanium Backup

Ok so, I'm looking to change my Google account, right after a full wipe and everything. But i want to keep all my apps and their data. So my question is...what do I need to select in Titanium to do this? I tried not restoring system data, but that didn't work. So i guess I'm wondering if there's some way I can still get most of my stuff back without getting the Google account settings back.

You go into titanium backup press menu/batch then pick the second option backup all user apps.
After you are backup after your wipe open titanium backup press menu/batch then pick the 9th option, restore missing apps with data then you should be good to go

(Q)Trying to remove photobucket

Does anybody know what the apk for photobucket is called? I cant find it under system/app
I just rooted my G2 yesterday and got rid of all the useless apps that Tmobile included in the stock ROM. If you are rooted, just use Titanium Backup to delete the apps you don't want. You will see a list of all the apps on your phone under the backup/restore section of Titanium, click on the app and touch un-install and its gone. Couldn't be easier, however you do need to be rooted.

Yep..
I don't use Titanium Backup, no reason I just seen it installed when I installed a rom, than I deleted it because I didn't think I would need it, Rom Manager allows me to do back-ups, and I use Root Uninstaller app to delete my stock apps.
I don't deny Titanium Backup is good, I just never used it. I may check it out later though. Root Uninstaller allows you to backup your apps, but you have to pay to restore them with the full version, and I bet Titanium Backup allows you to do it for free, but whatever?

[Q] Help removing stock apps

I just rooted my phone with unevoked 3. I read to install titanium backup to uninstall the phones apps like stocks, footsteps, ect. When i installed titanium backup, it says i dont have root. I know I do because i saw superroot permission. Can anyone tell me how to remove those apps... thanks
Boot into bootloader and be sure it says s-off. If it does, go to the market and install busybox. Or go to titanium backup and click the "problems" button.
Edit: Just do what teh roxxerz said

1. Run the "fix problems" , that will do it
2. Reboot the phone
Then go back into titanium, tap backup/restore at the top, find the app you want to uninstall, then select > uninstall.
that did it...thank you!!!

remove roms app

Hi, i've installed cyanogenmod 7.0.3 and i want to remove the apps which comes with that rom,can i do that?
You can use root uninstaller.
I have kept the Froyo stock rom and removed the apps I didn't like through the app Titanium Backup, just go to the tab "Backup/Restore" and tap on the app you want to remove and hit "Un-install !"
Beware not to remove apps that are used by the ROM

I think you also have to make sure, that the "Chuck Norris Mode" is activated (in the prefences of Titanium).
As the others said it, use Titanium Backup options.

True, that option was standard ticked when I opened Titanium. But if it's unticked you have to select that option
