can someone please help me. It's driving me nuts.
I can not disable nor uninstall S planner. The disable button is grayed out, I can only force stop, but it restarts after I reboot my phone. It is very annoying.
Titanium Backup?
it is safe to remove Samsung Apps such as S Planner, S Voice using "Force remove app" function?

It depends on that software and his role...cuz many OEM apps share their lib and other files
However...normally it is safe!

I just deleted them, if anything goes wrong I'll just reflash the rom.
Titanium Backup is the best.

Just freeze with Titanium backup so you dont have to reflash ROM
SystemApp Remover or other similar app.

Ok so, I'm looking to change my Google account, right after a full wipe and everything. But i want to keep all my apps and their data. So my question is...what do I need to select in Titanium to do this? I tried not restoring system data, but that didn't work. So i guess I'm wondering if there's some way I can still get most of my stuff back without getting the Google account settings back.

You go into titanium backup press menu/batch then pick the second option backup all user apps.
After you are backup after your wipe open titanium backup press menu/batch then pick the 9th option, restore missing apps with data then you should be good to go

Hello friends!
I have a SGSL XXKPH Rooted & Deodexed. I am using Titanium Backup Pro for managing my softwares and backup. Problem is that whenever I try to remove any stock software through Titanium Backup Pro, it does remove the software but my phone automatically restarts after that. This wasnt happening before I Deodexed my phone. I ever tried other softwares like Nitrality but the same problem persists.
Can you please help me with this problem? I dont think the phone should restart automatically if I remove a stock software. Is this normal after Dedoxing or is there a problem?
Thank you.

I am using paid Titanium backup pro and have used the free version also. I can confirm that removing any system apps DOES NOT restart the phone. Better remove Titanium itself, reboot and reinstall from market so as to have latest version.
Do as above said
And also check whether you have activated usb debugging mode?

What busybox version you got?
what app you trying to remove?
And have you tried mybackup?
Sent from my gt-I9003 with A.I. Type
I have busybox 1.18.4
No I haven't tried mybackup.
I tried removing stock calculator, stock ebook reader etc...
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA Premium App
Titanium backup installed his own busybox so it has not to depend upon device busybox.
I have once this problem when i flashed skin beta cf root kernel.
But it's long time ago with beta kernel testing.
Please tell how you root your device.

try to use
1. SGS tools: go to "Cleanup System App". It can make backup of removed applications
2. nitrality: go to "Applications" and uncheck unneeded applications
Both of them are free and can be found at the market
Either use TB to convert app to user app then delete, or, easier if you use sgs chlorine to delete lots of apps at the same time

Hi,
I recently updated my Hercules T989 to Jellybean 4.1.2 via Kies. When I was on ICS, I could easily uninstall the t-mobile stock apps(or any other stock apps) using Titanium Backup Pro. But after upgrading to JB 4.1.2, I cant uninstall a single stock app. I tried updating Titanium backup pro from 4.1 to 4.5.6 but its still the same. It can freeze the apps but one app: 't-mobile accounts' unfreezes itself. I dont know how it happens. By the way, the device is rooted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Did u do it in jellybean 4.1.2? As I said earlier, I could successfully uninstall/freeze all those stock apps using TB earlier when my phone was on ICS. This problem arose after I upgraded my firmware.

Are you sure Titanium Backup has root permissions? Check your Superuser app log and make sure they're being granted. You need root access for Titanium Backup to be able to remove/freeze system apps (like the built-in stuff).

Yes, I have rooted my phone after I upgraded the firmware through kies. I checked my root status using the app 'Root Checker Basic'. It says my phone as proper root access.

Yes, I have checked it. TB has been granted root permissions. TB successfully freezes all my system apps. But only one app - "T-Mobile My Accounts" unfreezes itself automatically after a while. I dont know how or why that happens. All my other system apps stay frozen except that one single app. And about uninstalling, none of the system apps can be uninstalled. When I run the batch operation to uninstall, it shows the progress bar but gets stuck at 0%. No progress at all.

my problem along with a screenshot
TB freezes all my stock apps. but as I mentioned earlier, one app - "T-Mobile My accounts" unfreezes itself after a while. And when I try uninstalling any stock apps, it just gets stuck. The progress bar doesnt move (show any progress). I am attaching a link to a screenshot about what happens.
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B05paCZgRaxIbjZYZWlKbEx3eVk/edit?usp=sharing
Please if anyone has found the solution to this problem, I would be very very grateful.
PS. : As other members suggested, I have checked everything. The Chuck Norris mode is on. TB has root permissions. Everything seems to be in order.

Sounds like you are using a stock based ROM then. So you will have to live with that app. Otherwise you may cause problems by trying to delete or freeze it. Anybody that is determined to remove it, you can use a root based file explorer and delete the apk from the system/app folder. Backup the app somewhere by copying & pasting it in another folder, so you can replace it later if you start experiencing issues.

Every time I install something HTC Backup pops up and asked to backup my settings to their cloud. I know this disables Google backup which I have been using for years. Furthermore there does not appear to be a way to disable the damn thing!
Suggestions please...

Freeze or uninstall with titanium backup. You could always restore it again (as long as you back it up before uninstall.)

I'm with the OP on this. It happens whenever I install an app from the play store. Even though you can select "don't ask me again" after hitting NO it still pops up next time. Shame you have to void your warranty to be able to freeze the dam thing.

The reason you can't find it is because you don't have it.
