I know the kitchen is where icons are cooked up for certain roms and so forth, but does one go about doing it? Each individual roms can have battery icons, etc, made for it? I've done a light research and came up with what I just said. Can someone please give me a brief overall of what its about and or capable of?

Where can I go to learn to theme, or at least learn the basics?
I have two roms, I know how to make things like task bars change between two roms, but the rom I use has green selection color as well as inside text boxes, I like that better than blue or orange, I jut can't figure how to change that over as well

Let me know what you need to do. Supply me with the names of the files you are trying to work with and what folders they are in. I can help you.
It would be awesome to see a comprehensive guide on setting up/installing/tweaking themes/home screens. This is my first android coming off a palm treo755p and there wasnt alot of theme action there. So I'm pretty lost other than just downloading some adw themes.

I'm currently working on that but its a lot of writing and I will need screenshots to keep it from getting too confusing.

I see some people with the circular battery mod or the percentage inside the battery mod..where can I find this? I don't really care for cyanogens options

You have to modify your framework-res. You can do this easily by using the UOT Kitchen (http://uot.dakra.lt/). Someone also made an app do this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892297. Never tried it myself though. I've used the UOT Kitchen many times before though.
ill take comments! first time, used the rom cooker online. tell me if it works ok.

tell me what you see or dont see, i do not like the wifi symbol so im gonna work on that next time, but overall im looking for comments of where i may have went wrong, please, make a nice easy to read list so i can go thru it and try another one.
i did not install a font pack, as i rather do it manually so it writes into everything so there are not 2 different fonts as my font is not installed in the theme cooker.
edit, it has framework and system ui files for CM7 7.0.0 stable release. turn off battery mod in CM settings if you want themed battery meter
What I am looking for is constructive critism. It seems to be running fine but none of the theme colors up the phone sms etc icons.
Im assuming i need some kind of icon pack.
Originally i flashed this over matted blues theme and it was a mix of both.

Hi, I was wondering if there is a simple way to flash over the lockscreen in my CM7 nightly rom to allow for the statusbar to be opened from it. I know this can be accomplished by using widgetlocker, but I want to keep my rom as lightweight as possible. Does anyone know a simple way of doing this with flashable mods or through metamorph etc.

bump, anyone?
Iimagine that this would involve some pretty serious framework modifications. Its probably not impossible but i have not come across this before. Your best option would be to somehow suggest this to the CM team, they may incorperate it in the future.

Yeah ill drop that in the suggestion box.
I am having an issue sticking to one rom, I love certain built in mods of some but like the visual feel of another, I've heard of using ninjamorph to switch out icons and certain themed aspects of roms, but where are these files in the system ? And maybe if someone knows other ways of interchanging parts of roms that would be great also.
Thanks
