Hi, I was wondering if there is a simple way to flash over the lockscreen in my CM7 nightly rom to allow for the statusbar to be opened from it. I know this can be accomplished by using widgetlocker, but I want to keep my rom as lightweight as possible. Does anyone know a simple way of doing this with flashable mods or through metamorph etc.

bump, anyone?
Iimagine that this would involve some pretty serious framework modifications. Its probably not impossible but i have not come across this before. Your best option would be to somehow suggest this to the CM team, they may incorperate it in the future.

Yeah ill drop that in the suggestion box.

What is the easiest way to remove the iphone like icons from any miui rom?
i thought the forum was for support. somebody could just answer.
why don't you just use a better rom? maybe try asking under the miui rom topic

im using skyraider sense 3.3.2 and love it, i just wanted to go back to miui.
gotcha

There is an evo miui themer who has managed to do so. Can't remember his name but search in the miui post for the theme and then contact him. That would be your best bet. Mind you, this is a dev function. Unless you are a dev, font bother...

im tired of the same old boring cm7 lockscreen, i want something new, but is pretty much all the same, sliders side to side or upside down, and such, im in the look for something like the Samsung galaxy x lockscreen that looks like you are turning a book page, or something different, any ideas? I've been looking but no luck.
thanks people!

Liquidvillian rom for sure is one of the coolest lockscreens.. or miui, I use miui mostly for the lockscreen.. but still the "up and down" slide you refer too.. still mixes it up a bit.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Yeah liquidvillian lockscreen is awesome and that's something like I want, and miui is cool too and differs from the ordinary, but I could never get the lockscreen working it kept the normal lockscreen
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA Premium App
Liquidvillian is nice but pointless for all the pages cause widgets you can't fully utilize.. and idk anyone that wants 5 screens for their lockscreen.. just different I guess. If your talkin about miui 2.3 then update to the latest build by g4rb4g3 and it should have the latest miui lock screen. I just came from that rom..

Hi folks. Im using Cyanogenmod 7.2 and i do not like the Notification bar from it.
Can someone explain to me how to replace the Notification Bar in Cyanogenmod 7.2, and where to locate it in the ROM zip file ?
And one more question. Can I somehow use status bar from cyanogenmod 6.1 in cyanogenmod 7.2 ?
sry for my bad english
The statusbar is inside systemui.apk but I wouldn't recommend messing with it that way as you'll break it if you don't know what you're doing. If you just want to replace the images then download some themes from the market or xda and apply them with theme Chooser.

Thanks for the tip.
But is it possible to put the Notification bar from cyanogenmod 6.1 to cyanogenmod 7.2 and to work ?
No, it wont work.
It would be possible to theme cm7 statusbar to look like cm6 but not to use the actual cm6 one as the framework is different.

Is it possible to "transplant" an ICS lockscreen (ie from juggernaut 5.0) and install on another ROM?
I'm using MALICE now, with Eugene's new kernel. I'm tech savvy with some things but a noob with this stuff.

my lockscreen is transparent. I'm not exactly sure what's the process, but I had a picture from my gallery on there, and I flashed another ROM or something along those lines and the screen is transparent, probably because I don't have that picture anymore? not sure? You can try deleting the picture after you set it?
Sorry I don't know the exact way to do it, but it is possible.
What I did was download go launcher
Then I downloaded go locker then found the ics theme lockscreen then I set the default launcher for whichever rom I was running(don't pick go launcher). And boom ics lockscreen on the rom and you don't even have to run go luncher you just have to download it for the locker to work....probably not the way you wanted but that's probably the easiest way...ha

@teo032
I think he meant transplant not transparent. As far as making your lockscreen "transparent" goes, all you need to do is go to cwm and fix permissions, then reboot. It will remove the assigned lockscreen .jpeg file to none.
@evanladoux
Implementing a lockscreen to be built in to a rom is very long process and it requires that you understand programming fairly well.
Yea lockscreens never used to be hard, but in GB witb samsung, its a pain.
M&S
Thank you everybody for your replies.
I was looking to get a built in lockscreen rather than Go Locker, which is what I just went with.
I was hoping it might be as easy as unzipping a ROM, & rename/copy/paste a few files into the DD folders.
Its fine until we have a fully functional TMO ICS. I use Wifi Calling a LOT, so, the current batch of ICS ROMs won't work for me as a DD, though I appreciate all the dev's work to provide (ie M&S .. too many to list)

Is there a way to include virtuous tweaks in this ROM? I looked into the ROM zip file and saw that the VirtuousTweaks.apk is already in the system/app folder but after flashing, the tweaks doesn't appear in settings. I know that this ROM already includes the RCMIX tweaks (which does appear in settings) but I would like to try the Virtuous Tweaks. Is there a way to make it appear under settings?
Sent from my Inspire 4G using xda premium
as far as i can remember pretty much all the tweaks from virtuous are there in rcmix
Last time I checked RCTweaks, it didn't have an option to remove the app drawer divider.
Besides, I like the ability to restart the rosie, navbar and IME just from the app.
Being developed with the sense sdk is a nice touch also.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using xda premium
well, the option for removing app divider is there now
about restarts of rosie/systemui i understand, nothing to do
the main point of patchas rom are rctweaks added to virtuous rom, so just install virtuous. the swype to clear is built in files asociated with rctweaks and will be gone anyway.
Ok, I didn't know that.
Swype to clear notifications is a nice feature so I will keep the RCTweaks.
Thanks for your answer.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using xda premium
well, there is a guide how to implement swype to clear somewhere in the general android development section. and if you have any experiance in recompiling/editing apks its not that hard to do...
Great! I'll search that guide.
Thanks again for the info!

I flashed pacha's ROM and couldn't find a way to remove the app divider while maintaining the scroll by page functionality using RCTweaks. Is there a way to do it or is only available using virtuous tweaks?
