I see some people with the circular battery mod or the percentage inside the battery mod..where can I find this? I don't really care for cyanogens options

You have to modify your framework-res. You can do this easily by using the UOT Kitchen (http://uot.dakra.lt/). Someone also made an app do this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892297. Never tried it myself though. I've used the UOT Kitchen many times before though.

I know the kitchen is where icons are cooked up for certain roms and so forth, but does one go about doing it? Each individual roms can have battery icons, etc, made for it? I've done a light research and came up with what I just said. Can someone please give me a brief overall of what its about and or capable of?

I've scanned HUNDREDS of threads first, but can't find info about changing the stock battery indicator to one that shows percentage. I'm not looking for an app.

It depends on which rom you're using and if there is a clock mod for that rom. Look in the thread for the rom you're using. If you're on a stock rom I'm not sure if any of those mods work but you can try them
We're comin from a pure power source.
Uot kitchen.

Ah, the kitchen looks like just what I've been looking for. Only it's closed :-( thanks!

All,
Does anyone have or know of a stock battery icon? Nothing with circles, numbers, bells, hookers, etc. Just a green battery icon that gets lower as it gets used? I love the Blazer ROM but I don't care for the battery circle with the number in the middle.
Thanks
I'll increase the bounty to $2.41...
Just to sweeten the pot...
You can use uot kitchen to create a flashable zip with any of their battery icons! Even remove the battery percent part. All you need is cwm and the framework-res and twframework apks from your /system/framework folder on your phone

Heres the url http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/ just go to upload, and select the twframework and framework-res apks and then upload them. Then go to the battery tab and select the battery icon and settings you would like. Then submit it and wait for the kotchen to cook up your zip food then flash the zip in cwm. The website will only work on a computer though I believe

I apologize, I meant to say you must also upload the systemui.apk, there is a tab for that in the uploads page. Everything else I said still stands though

I'm running 4.2 and I cant seemed to find out how to use any custom 1% battery mods. My ROM (atom421 v3) has an option for the skinny bar with % for the battery, but otherwise, its just the standard battery icon. ROM toolbox wont install them and i cant seem to find and mods on here.
Even most of the theme chooser themes will not change my battery and this has been over several different ROMs. Any advice here?

Re: 1% percent battery mods
Not familiar with your ROM, but I use Hooolm's circlemod (available in the Play Store)...
Re: 1% percent battery mods
Honestly, its the fastest ROM I've ever used. But yea, I've seen those in the play store and I've never been too fond of the hoolms circles. Its kinda confusing to me. My favorite ones are the honeycomb battery and the crysis mod from the uot kitchen, but as far as i know, the kitchen doesn't support xhdpi yet.
