Do you know if and where i can find a replacement part for the Power button/fingerprint reader?
Mine has been scratched out of the phone and now the fingerprint reader does not work at all!!!

Hi everyone, this is my first post here but I have been reading the posts on here since I first became interrested in the idea of a PDA phone a while back,
I have just bought a 2nd hand XDA iis here in Australia, and found that the touch screen is not working, (worked when I got it, and a few times since).
After hunting around the net to see if it was a common problem I found this link and though I could fix it myself and bought some tork screwdrivers.

I managed to open it up and thought that I had got it fixed, but it is still not working, frustratingly everthing else does but not the touch screen.
I was wondering if anyone else has opened theirs up and knows what I am doing wrong, don't want to get it fixed by a shop unless I have to as I have fixed another PDA that had a dead battery once using a Nokia battery. (Toshiba e570).
Please let me know if any other brave/foolish soul has opened theirs and taken photo's of it's guts, unsure if I need to replace membrane or just clean it off.

Hi, I have a TP2 with a broken digitizer. Dropped it a couple days ago and it's spiderweb cracked across the whole screen. The LCD work just fine, as I can still see everything clearly(except for the tiny cracks) but I can't use the touch screen, which maybe one of the most annoying things I have ever delt with. I wanted to know if anyone on this forum has any kind of digitizer replacement guide for TP2, and even better a video on it. Also, if anyone was interested in repair work for payment via paypal, I would be interested in talking to you. I could provide you with the phone(of course) and the replacement digitizer, along with the S&H on the phone for both ways. I havent found much on the subject anywhere else, and I have always found this site very useful dating back to my first HTC Wizard. I appreciate any help you have to give.

Any luck ? I thought it would be easier for you to get it fixed at USA.
It is quite difficult to get digitizers in India for TP2 . Only if I can get hold of a digitizer I could have fixed it for you for no extra cost.

I'm from Vietnam. I had bought a Verizon HTC Incredible 2 from my friend (he said that he brought from USA and also unlocked by code for global calling).
My Incredible 2 is in GB 2.3.3 (build No. is 2.18.605.4) with radio version is 1.09.01.0622.
After someday in properly working, few days ago, its touchscreen seem not function with the right edge of the screen (the width of that zone is about 0.5 cm from the right edge). Sothat I could not type the "p" character, difficult type the "backspace", "enter" keys from the virtual keyboard and for example: could not touch the "search" icon in Android market..., and so on.
I aslo tried to update my Incredible 2 to another rom (from XDA) but noluck.
Could you please kindly give me advices to sovle my smartphone problem.

Sounds very much like a hardware problem, unfortunately. I think you'll need a replacement.

Thank artvandelay440, but our phone casing doesnot have the contact/grounding pins like Sensation. Please suggest me more.

I have got a mysterious problem with my screen, it's nearly only white with black dots and somewhat the screen used to change to get a perfect picture when I pushed out the gamepad and now it won't even function at all, just a white screen with black dots all over the screen, and I have asked on another forum, and one giy over at that forum told me that many Xperia Play users have to replace this and that this is the thing to replace in most cases, and I just wanna hear from Xperia Play-owners that have had some problems if this is the case for you as well that you had to replace it to get the screen back:

Sorry for posting once again, and yes moderators and all others, consider this a bump as I really need to get the right part so I just don't take it apart to realize it was the wriong thing that I did replace, and I consider it to be enough days that has been since I posted my first post to post this bump as I already wanted my device working again days ago =/
Well, i still got the same question, have I found the right part to replace for my screen-problem?
And if no ones answers now, I will just buy some tools and the part that I have linked to and reed about that it can be and hope and pray for the best at the same time.

You should try using mic with some other apps
And please try to ask your question more specifically

Is the mic actually working normally. If it's the icon I think it is. I believe that is the mute button for when on telephone calls.
