Hi, I have a TP2 with a broken digitizer. Dropped it a couple days ago and it's spiderweb cracked across the whole screen. The LCD work just fine, as I can still see everything clearly(except for the tiny cracks) but I can't use the touch screen, which maybe one of the most annoying things I have ever delt with. I wanted to know if anyone on this forum has any kind of digitizer replacement guide for TP2, and even better a video on it. Also, if anyone was interested in repair work for payment via paypal, I would be interested in talking to you. I could provide you with the phone(of course) and the replacement digitizer, along with the S&H on the phone for both ways. I havent found much on the subject anywhere else, and I have always found this site very useful dating back to my first HTC Wizard. I appreciate any help you have to give.
Thanks in advance
Namashkaar McJew,
Any luck ? I thought it would be easier for you to get it fixed at USA.
It is quite difficult to get digitizers in India for TP2 . Only if I can get hold of a digitizer I could have fixed it for you for no extra cost.
Wish you luck.
Regards

Hey!
Can anyone point me to a place where i can buy a new display for my S710 ? As the one i have is broken..
~D
Oh and they have to ship worldwide..
If you want to replace it by yourself, you should have a clear idea that what's the lcd screen you want.
For safe sake, you'd better take apart you pda first to get the part number of the lcd screen, then you can get the right lcdscreen to replace it.
You can contact me after you get the number, i will check whether we have it in our stock.

Thanks! I will do that..
I need the exact same part and have been looking everywhere, nobody sells it. The only way I have found to repair it is through HTC who won't sell me the screen unless I pay them to fit it at £92 + vat! I paid £200 for the phone so there's no way I am paying that much. Anyone know where we can get one?
providing us with the part number would be helpful
any identification numbers on the lcd module itself would be helpful particularly a manufacturers name as there may be issues with using the same type of lcd but made by a different manufacturer
Okay i don't know if this can help others, but i have taken my S710 apart and after some sweat and a long time i got to the LCD display.. Heres what typed on it..
PN: 60H00088-00M
But there is no manufactor .. as far as i can see..
Hi, I'm looking for this LCD screen also. If anybody know's where to find, i'm in.
Best regards,
Jumea

HTC s710 screen
Have you found the screen parts?
Hello
I am from the Philippines and I need housing and front keypad and membrane for my vox. How much and how long will it be shipped to my couintry?
Hope to hear from you
Just as bad as it sounds
I went to close my laptop and my laptop fell off my stand and the corner landed on my phone's screen and it cracked the screen significantly. (If my phone worked I would have taken a picture)
I do not have insurance and I'm in my 4th month of having it, what should I do? I figured I could attempt to do a repair myself and ordered a new screen for 179.99. I've looked up tutorials but really only found stuff relating to the I900 and not my t989.
Does anyone know if this process will be difficult? Or is there any hoops I can jump through for Samsung or T-mobile to help me out?
Thanks
Honestly, just look trough google for a repair shop.
Most places will only charge an additional 30-40 bucks on top of the cost of the screen but this way you don't have to worry about breaking anything as they will take responsibility.
After this, get insurance if you still can. Most people see those "We repair any phone for 50$" and don't realize that does not apply to Samsung owners.
Yeah I thought about that but considering that amount of time it would be between me sending out the phone and then waiting to get it back I figure I could do the repair myself without spending the extra $30-$50 and it would be a learning experience
I would like to know however if there is anything that samsung or t-mobile would do to help out or if there were some t989 tutorial

You can send it to Samsung and they will fix it for a price, but your better off having it fixed locally at a shop as recommended above.
T-mobile can't do anything for you at this point.
I wouldn't recommend you do it yourself....This is an extremely risky and difficult procedure, in particular on this phone. Even if you have done this before on another device, this is one of the toughest, so be prepared to bring your A game.
You could end up breaking the phone all together....that would be one expensive learning experience. I would just take it to somewhere local and have them do it.
I heavily researched replacing the chrome bezel on this phone and looked at tear down documentation. Discovered this phone is very hard to replace things on yourself. I have done repairs on G1's G2's but this is a whole different ball game.
I found this tutorial and figured I'll try this out in the meantime

If anyone has any advice on It would be appreciated
Fixed my galaxy s ii
Just reporting in, I received my new screen and successfully performed the transplant. I have some pics but not all of them on the screen removal I will post them ASAP.
FYI it is a fairly simple process not nearly as complicated as I feared but you have to make sure you have a fine touch and don't force any of the connections in.
In the meantime I have these two tutorials to thank

Does anyone know anywhere in london, UK to get a new screen fitted.
I dropped my htc desire hd yesterday and its cracked the screen, there is no ink on the screen and everything is working fine still, so its just the first piece of glass thats broke.
so what exactly do i need to get fixed, i see alot of people mentioning ameled or something like that, do i need to get that replaced as well, or can i just buy the glass myself and fix it myself?
i've checked a few htc repair centres online and they all want between £60 - £90 to fix it, but im sure i can do it myself with the right equipment.
For anyone that knows about this kind of process what would be best for me to get? knowing i have never done a repair myself, im not stupid and can follow instructions well but just wondered would be better for me to get???
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130599566...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1723wt_1163
this is the full thing so i'll need to just get the phone apart and then install the part.
or

which means i'll need to get deeper into the phone and remove things ect ect.
what do you think guys?
someone must know about this?
surely im not the only numpty to drop my phone
Get the one in the first link as changing the digitizer only is a REAL BALL ACHE. The replacement of the lcd and digitizer together as one part is pretty straight forward. Search "htc desire hd screen replacement" in YouTube and you'll find lots of tutorials. I suggest watching a few of them before any attempts. Good luck.

Cheers for the reply, but this morning i decided to pay to have it repaired rather than risk messing it all up myself, i found a htc repair centre that will fix it and return it for £44.99p
so im over the moon with that price, i thought i'd need to pay around the £80-£90.
so anyone else that has a cracked screen, i suggest calling these guys, their very helpful over the phone.
I cant review how good their service is as i have yet to send them the phone,
but so far, so good.
here is the site...

You might be out of luck on this one. The screen is fused to the digitizer and the screen is an AMOLED screen which is not common in aftermarket and as far as i know is proprietary to samsung .

i found that is the whole front housing and lcd/digitizer.
i got the phone for free, and i was thinking on replacing my really beat up sensation with it... for 150 bucks sounds ok, but, it's from china, i dont like that :/
edit: i couldn't find a thread on the forums, but, here is a place where to get the full front off the device, which should make the whole fixing easy:

Hey guys, my phone got slammed in a car door and I finally paid £130 and replaced the screen because it got damaged to the point of being unusable but in the process of replacing it I accidently broke the ribbon for the multitask button. I've tried searching for the part on eBay etc and can't find a replacement part, could someone link me please? If it's available. Thanks in advance

Dunno, not much parts for the OP3. Have you watched JerryRigEverything? He has a really nice disassembly video.
Confirmed, you DID f**k up.
There are NO official replacement parts available online because OnePlus does not sell them to third parties. Anything you may come across is not official - including that screen you got somewhere.
Even if you don't mind unofficial parts, it's really hard to get small single parts for devices with poor service support. Full screen assemblies are fairly common, pretty much anything else isn't.
BTW, screen replacement in official service center costs about as much as you paid for the screen. Didn't benefit at all doing it alone ...
Don't have many options now, go check aliexpress, dealextreme and similar sites if you find anything. If not, well, ... you'll have to shell out even more £££.
