After upgrading to CM7.0.2 from 7.0, I started getting a message that there was no simcard in my phone. It looks like there is a simlock on my phone now. Does anyone know how I can fix this or remove the simlock?
My phone is unlocked and rooted.
Thanks!
I've had this issue before and a simple reboot fixed it; if that doesn't work, restore from your nandroid backup and redownload the update and reflash

Downgraded to 6.1.1, ran gfree, and it seems to be working fine now

Hey guys, hoping you can help me. Still kinda new to Android well the Xperias anyway. I rooted my cousins phone for him using this method here. After I rooted I got the error with the Sim card which I've heard is quite common. I then followed this guide to get the sim working again, this sim is working fine now but I'm stuck on 2.3.2 now and when I try flashing 2.3.4 I get errors in flash tool. Any idea how to fix this? should I just re-lock the bootloader and then try updating OTA?

Try formatting the partitions with fastboot first. It's what i did when i got a flashtool error and it worked. Be warned though if you format device and flashtool still gives error's you will need to find a system.img and kernel before device will boot again.
Hey guys. I recently rooted my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3. I decided to unroot. After unrooting I booted my phone back up and it now says No SIM Card Available. Is there any way to fix this? Everything was force closing so I did a factory reset, but how can I fix the sim card thing?

Thanks, but I managed to fix it by doing all the OTA updates that popped up. Went through about 10 updates and it started working again. Thanks anyways!
So, today i decided to sim unlock my Vodafone locked Note 2 N7100.
I had to root it first, which was very simple. Then, i downloaded & paid for GalaxSim unlock tool. It managed to sim unlock my phone, but when i thought about checking for software updates, i went into the menu and pressed the "check for updates" button.
It says: "Checking for software updates..."
And that's that, it keeps looking like this for a few minutes, at least.
Is the update app, or something else broken?
Or is this the normal behavior for when there's no update available?
This is what i get in "About device":
Baseband: N7100BUALI8
Build number: JRO03.N7100XXALIJ
Please help!
With root you don't have access to ota updates. You have to flash a stock android with odin to unroot your device. Your sim will remain unlocked.

I understand. I chose just to root it, with stock everything else, i hoped OTA would still work

no, it wont, note 2 check status with root, u need unroot rom for OTA
Although OTA is unavailable, I assume someone with Stock everything but has rooted (CF Method ) can use KIES to update meaning everything left intact except for no more root ?

I haven't tried that yet. Will do, when I get home.

I'm in the same boat as you with a rooted but totally stock phone so no OTA but KIES says there is an update. I've just tried to update mine but KIES on my windows 7 64 Bit machine just keeps crashing. I might try it on my Mac when I get home

So I just got back from India, where I was using an Indian sim with my vzw HTC One. When I got back, I was getting signal, but no data. I could get 1x data if I manually switched the radio using an lte on/off app, but thats it.
So I RUU'd to 605.15 and LTE was working again. Then, after successfully running rumrunner, again, no data. Any idea what the problem is?
Pretty strange. Rumrunner should not affect data in any way. Have you tried to flash back to the stock recovery, and then do a factory reset? You are unlocked and s-off now right?

Yeah its strange. Mainly that data DOES work on untouched stock, but stops working after I s-off/unlock with rumrunner. I went to a verizon store and swapped the sim card, and this seems to have solved the problem. But I'm still curious why the problem occured in the first place.
I have note2 n7100.
Phone was rooted and running 4.1.2 rom.
I flashed rom with official kitkat update N7100XXUFND3.
After flash, I had no service, and couldn't switch on WI-FI.
I rooted the using thread from smeet.somaiya and it went great.
Now phone is rooted, but I still same issue.
I didn't loose my IMEA after flash, and I have efs folde backup. i tried to restore it, bit still no service.
i live in Serbia.
Does anybody have some idea how to solve this problem??

Flash this patched modem NB4 via recovery.
Phone acted really strange, so I took it to service.
They found that SIM card reader is broken and needs replacement. I ordered a new one, and will update after repair.
Thanks anyway
