Hello everyone. Before i get started let me just say this isnt a rant just a please help me post. Here is my situation:
My wife and i have been with sprint for 4 months now. Every month since we started our agreement with sprint we have had to have both our epics replaced so that makes a total of 8 epics that have come into our house hold. I have always been nice (never raised voice or cursed at) to the reps in the store and over the phone. How many replacements do i need before sprint switches us to a different model phone.
My wife and i need reliable phones as i am a paramedic and use phone at work and my wife is a stay at home mom with our cellphones being only form of communication. I have been googling for sprints policy and have come up with nothing. Thanks for any help.

What exactly is failing?
To correct you, this is a rant.
You didn't ask a real question. Sprint makes next to no loss replacing your phone if you're under TEP insurance. They'll keep on replacing the phone with refurbished phones until:
A. They find a reason to charge you for the replacement
B. You ask to change phones, likely at a cost
C. The Epic is discontinued (not likely soon)
Refurbished isn't bad, but it's not new.
Moreso, you claim to have already found this answer yourself nearly 3 weeks ago:
MedicStuder said:
According to my local corp store, if i replace my phone 2 more times (already done 3 exchanges) then i will be able to switch to different device which if i have to exchange this epic 2 more times i am jumping ship to htc and if evo 3d is out then i am going to it.

Furthermore, without already being an HTC user, you clearly don't realize it is plagued with many similar problems, although without you mentioning a single problem, I can't compare it for you. However, only 4 months into a contract, Sprint will NOT be giving you a free replacement to the Evo, especially not the Evo 3D. You will be paying a premium to switch phones, and likely be forced into another 2 year extension on your plan.
Now, if you'd like to actually use this forum for what it's for, please, tell us what's so wrong with your phones that you have replaced 6 of them?
Double post.
My guess he is an EVO user just trying to stir up the Epic forums.
I brought my phone back last weekend because it died. It was the 3rd Epic that I had taken back from the beginning of my contract. I told them that I would like to switch to a different phone but they werent willing to do that. They said that if all 3 problems would have been within 6 months of one another then the manager could issue a different model of phone. Since my last brick wasn't within 6 months of the previous 2, they weren't willing to replace. So I believe that is their policy.
Very strange... I've been on the same Epic for nearly a year.. Must be a lot of duds out there or some are just very hard on a phone.
To the trolls that post I am not an evo user. Yes I did make that post to help someone that asked. I was told in store 5 phones in 6 months and on the phone I was told 3 phones. That's what is confusing me. Also research also instead of stalking me the evo at full retail is the same if not less then the epic. I am not even looking at the evo 3d because I know I will have to pay a significant difference.
The problems I am having for those that have posted and showed a willingness to help me. What happened is (happens on my epic and my wifes): apps started to force close then the touch screen stops working then the phone goes into a boot loop that I can't fix. I am on stock and not rooted. This is the first epic I haven't rooted. I am just confused from getting different stories. The phones have never had any external damage.

I have witnessed this on a friends epic. I thought for sure I would be able to fix it with a fresh install of eb13 then ec05 nothing helped. The screen would not work and the phone was in a boot loop. I thought in the back of my mind he must have sat on it or something. Then I saw someone else has the problem too. Coincidence?

Try not installing anything. I noticed one app I had in the market boot looped my epic. I reported it but nothing has fixed the app (locoroco) it would cause my phone to over heat running in back ground killing the battery then killed on board memory sure to heat. Sprint tech helped me through this.

i had traded in my old touch pro like 7 times and went to a sprint store (the official store not a exclusive retailer )
tell them whats up with the phone how many switches and you arent satisfied. you pay money for a phone and expect it to work. inquire about the swap list for the phone.

I don't have the insurance but I do have a defective phone. I'm outraged that Sprint is holding me up for $35.00 to exchange my phone for a working-somebody-else's-rejected/returned-faulty refurbished unit. Why should I pay extra because their phone (back button no longer works) --less than six months old- is defective?
I've looked through several forums trying to find someone who has a user fix to restore use of my "back" button to no avail...tried the "enable haptic feedback to 3/4" suggestion and it worked once, but never again.
$35.00 for this aggravation? Why?

The phone has a 1 year warranty from the manufacturer. Mail it back into Samsung and you'll get it fixed or replaced in about 10 days. If you need it back the same day/next day you have to have Sprint's insurance or pay them for the service.
I'm not a huge fan of Sprint or Samsung for that matter, but business is business and it seems fair enough to me.

I have been dealing with verizon tech support on my phone a ton lately. Can they tell over the cell signal if the phone is son/soff or rooted/unrooted. I'd like to be son and 7.01 radio but incrom is tons better than unrooted
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA Premium App
That I know of they can't, what problems are you dealing with on your phone that you need to call them? the reason I ask is because they might be rom specific problems
Well, since new on any extended network areas, data and incoming calls are fine. Calling out I get a prerecorded message saying Please reenter the 10 digit number you are trying to dial, do not hit send. Sometimes that work maybe 50/50. They warrantied the phone about 2 weeks ago, same thing. Last night on the phone they offered me a $100 trade in credit on my inc for any recertified phone.... but its droidx, droid pro, or samsung fascinate. I'm not impressed with any of em. Been tons of roms and the 7.28, 9.01. and 11.XX radio, all the same. Verizon TS from a payphone last night couldn't even see my phone on the network, but they swear theres nothing wrong. i was temptedn, but root the dtock rom so I can switch back and forth as needed.
Sorry to hear, I hope everything works out great. I guess to see if their suggestions work maybe you can try returning your phone back to stock, I don't think it would hurt.
I hope it does too, but this has been ongoing since we got the incredibles when they first came out... VERY frustrating
wow, i really wonder how much their tech department really knows, seems like they have many problems they can not figure out. my wife and i just got two dinc's through verizon about 3 months ago, mine is fine and have had zero issues, but my wife's is a whole different story.
notice hers would stop getting text and phone calls a few times a day. we would be in the middle of a conversation(text that is) and she would just stop receiving my texts, i would still get hers, and i would try and call and it would ring normally on my end and go to her voice mail. She would not be getting anything on her end, until sometime later they would all flood in at once.
well this was happening almost from day one, her phone was stock, then i rooted it and tried different roms and kernels and still same issue. well i have called verizon and talked to techs on at least 5 different occasions, and they have completely replaced her phone with a newer Dinc, yet same problem persist! it is in my opinion that the problem would have to be on their end of it,since two phones in a row are doing this, and mine on the same account in the same area does not do it. i am getting ready to call again today when my wife gets home from work, oh yea it sunday not sure if they in so maybe tomorrow. but this is ridiculousness, they just keep having me go through settings and resetting phone to factory and all that, i just can not see it being the phone at this point, but they are convinced it is.
Tech support level 2 has the network team looking at my call log. They are supposed to call me Mon. evening to let me know the results. They also offered me a hundred dollar credit on any recertified phone. I'm just not impressed with any of those phones.

Ok, sort of decided to try a different phone. Any opinions of droid x, the fascinate, about any non htc phones would be nice. Leaning towards the X since it seems to have a huge dev base here also.

Having "friends" that work for VZW, I really don't think 1st level support can look and see if you are rooted or not. I do, however, think that level "3" and up support can tell. I know they have the means in place to start monitoring what phones receive updates and what phones do not update. I also don't think they are going to worry about the DIncs, but they may focus more of the newer 4G phones that have been rooted.
OK, verizon is insane. They are under the impression I'm trading in my inc under their advice for 100 bux towards another model phone at full retail price. That is SO not happening. I did find this thread http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...ne-can-help-me-reprogram-a-flashed-Incredible
last night. If that information is correct for the settings I think thats at least part of my issues. Can anyone confirm those are correct? My wife is about 800 miles from me with her inc for me to just look and see. US Cellular is sounding more and more inviting this week.
Talked to a person at home last night on craigslist. Wants to swap his 6 week old droid X for my incredible. Verizon didn't care but said it wouldn't be insurable. Assurion said sure no problem. I love consistently wrong answers

I bought my Incredible used, then sold my D2. Motorola build quality is good but I had their UI and locked bootloaders. As far as I know, when you get a used phone, you don't get the manufacturer's warranty but you should be able to insure it. Condition and ESN/MEID are the main things to look out for.

Have traded before without issue. Good luck!!
Talked to Verizon to make sure it was acceptable with them. Now they tell me if the trouble tickets are not cleared and the problem fixed by next Friday their policy is to replace my incredible with a similar value model. Some 2 week ticket policy nonsense. I really wish they could make up their collective minds. Person I'm swapping with did not mind waiting till next weekend, especially since if verizon tech support does not come through, I'll take the inc to the local stroe, swap it for a cpo one, then swap that for the droid X. I still have ZERO confidence its going to affect my problem is the sad part
well finaly my wifes phone is fixed, she is now receiving text all the time and on time.
here is the kicker, several tech support calls ago i asked the tech if changing phone mumber might work, considering they had already replace phone and problem did not go away, and i figured if it was account settings then it should effect my phone as well. so finaly i talked my wife into changing phone number, kinda of last resorte for her, well finaly she listened to me and it has almost been a week and no missed calls or texts, before it was happening seveal times a day, very very anoying!! but it is all good now.
so yeah, only had the thing since this past thursday and now it's gone. i have no idea where i could have left it and had been out & about today going all over the place. i ended up filing a claim($99.. wee!) and am supposed to be getting a new one tomorrow.
the funny thing to is that the last time i had insurance was like 5 - 6 years ago when i had the first RAZR on Verizon and never used it so had cancelled it way back then. when i got this Nexus on thursday i thought to myself "hmm.. well, maybe i should..."
and yes, i've tried to think of the last place i had it & back tracked the past few hours and no luck.

i had Verizon start blocking txt msg's last March when i got the Thunderbolt(never ever used txt msg'ing nor cared for it and had heard about people getting txt spam & didn't want to get any txt charges coming through for whatever reason).
as for 'plan b', yeah i hear about that now after i started this thread...(and upon hearing about it and the way it works via 'txt' had asked if there was an alternate way to protect/locate a phone)
and dropping, i guess i'm clumsy with phones. i dropped my thunderbolt like 3 - 4 times, dropped my incredible 2 once and again this time with the nexus. at least with the TB i learned and got a sturdy case for it.. haven't gotten around to doing so with the nexus yet.

I have had both Camera and GPS issues since the day I bought my E4GT. My Camera will randomly give me "Recording Failed" when I try to take photos. Changing Camera settings was also a good way of reproducing "Recording Failed" And my GPS simply just doesn't lock, and if it does it is unbelievably inaccurate.
So, I took my phone in several months back, of course all they did was flash it to stock, I came back in an hour and they claimed it was fixed. Within 24 hours I was still having the same Camera issue, and GPS wasn't improved.
I have dealt with this issue up until today and simply ignored it, used my girlfriends GPS etc. Keep in mind that both these issues exist on stock EK02, EL30, and any custom ROM I install, and GPS status or other GPS related apps don't help either.
So, after flashing to EK02, using a USB Jig to reset my download count and then doing the OTA to EL30, the problem persisted. I brought it to the Sprint store, came back an hour and a half later, and they claimed it was fixed. I instantly starting taking photos in the store, after 2 photographs my phone actually just restarted itself. Once it restarted, I tried taking several more photographs and received my usual "Recording Failed" message. At this point the tech takes the phone back, fiddles around on his computer and tells me they will just have to order a new one.
Great news! Glad I'm getting a brand new E4GT. The real kicker... I got back in my car, drove to work and then I noticed something funny, I have the superuser app installed. I installed Titanium backup to confirm I had root, and I did. The Sprint tech seems to have rooted my phone, most likely in attempt to try a few 3rd party fixes.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Doesn't rooting technically void my warranty... Or is it only flashing non-official ROMs? I know I'm still ok on my warranty because they already confirmed they are shipping a phone to the store for me to pick up. I was just shocked to have Sprint root my phone.

lol the only thing that happened to me like that was:
i brought my evo 3d in so they could check out the power button... (it was pushed down and wouldnt turn on) the phone had cm7 on it... and the tech showed me his OG evo with cm7 on it with the same theme on it (cm7 red remix)
i couldnt restore it back to a stock RUU because of the power button...but he got a replacement for me even when he got it turned on and seen cm7 on it
I've noticed that most techs don't care if your phone is rooted or not. In fact, I used to go down to the Sprint store to look at new accessories, and I would show off that mine was rooted and running CM. I had a couple of the people working there have me root their phone for them.
It would surprise me at all if the tech rooted your phone. Probably jumped on XDA to see if anyone else had solved the problem yet too.

Out of curiosity, when recording video were you recording to internal memory or a microSD card? And if a microSD card, what Class? I got that error all the time with my Class 2 16GB, but when I upgraded to my 32GB Class 4 I have no trouble. Apparently the write speed wasn't high enough for the video stream.
Weird. I've got problems where my GPS sometimes won't lock.... but I reboot and it seems to work for another day or whatever.

I actually never recorded video really. This was an issue with simple picture taking at any resolution. I could save to internal or external storage and receive this error. I currently have a class 8 16gb that I use that hasn't given me issues that I know of.
As for the GPS, it was a longstanding and ongoing issue with my phone. No amount of reboots, reflashes or GPS fixes would remedy it. I've tried at least a half dozen roms, plus every OTA and sprint leak. I'm just glad to be getting a new phone.
Also, I've never dropped this phone once. It is literally in pristine condition, you could probably put it in a box and nobody would know that it was used.

Haha I would have loved to ask in store, but unfortunately I didn't notice this for about a half hour when I was at work.
I'll definitely be asking them about it when I go to pick up my replacement phone. I still have my "Sprint Rooted and certified" phone in my hands haha.
Lol.
Once again, contrary to popular belief, rooting does not void your protection plan with us, nor does it prevent us from doing a paid repair (no TEP). Only the iPhone holds the distinction of having it's protection plan voided by software modification, as per Apple.
Now, are we allowed by corporate rules to root your phone as a method of repair? No, of course not. But we're also supposed to only use software that's provided to us, and a lot of times that just isn't enough.
Of course, there are special cases; if somebody carelessly lost their wimax keys when trying to get s-off, i wouldn't replace the phone for two reasons: it's nonessential to telephony functions (meaning youre not stuck if you need to call 911), and it's technically DBR (damaged beyond economical repair), because our warehouse wont be able to get them back, and the board would end up being scrapped.
To that end, hard bricked phones could be rejected due to DBR, but i have no way of telling if it happened due to flashing the phone, now do I?

Once again, contrary to popular belief, rooting does not void your protection plan with us, nor does it prevent us from doing a paid repair (no TEP). Only the iPhone holds the distinction of having it's protection plan voided by software modification, as per Apple.
Now, are we allowed by corporate rules to root your phone as a method of repair? No, of course not. But we're also supposed to only use software that's provided to us, and a lot of times that just isn't enough.

Well thank you very much for this info. Its nice to know the ins and outs of my warranty service. May even take a look into the the terms of service and such for it. It'll nice to have a shiny new phone though for sure.

Just wanted to second this. At this time only jailbroken iPhones have their warranty/protection voided.
You should have no problem getting help even if your phone is rooted, though we should not be the ones doing it for you lol

When i went to go get my e4gt one of the salesmen was talking about his jailbroken iphone to someone he was selling an iphone to. I wasnt really paying attention since they were talking about iphones and i was downloading the xda app while they finished my paperwork.
You sure your method of returning to stock didn't preserve your root? It's possible.

99% correct. if an android has a rom flashed, its warranty is void. but we can still repair/replace them with TEP, and paid repairs are fine too. its the unlocking of the bootloader that is looked at, not the actual rooting
see: htc evo3d (htcdev dot com), unlocking nexus s, flash/binary counter in E4GT
As much as I like to side with Sprint employees in regards to TEP & rooting, it tends to be more of a personal Sprint employee decision as opposed to actual TEP policy.
After reading over the TOS in regards to TEP, there are some things written in there that could potentially be used against you should rooting be considered the cause of your problem:
"Sprint is not liable for the websites you visit or anything you download or cause to be downloaded to your device. Damage related to websites visited or downloads to your device may not be covered by Sprint's Service and Repair policy or your device insurance policy."
Personally, it's a chance one takes & it depends on who you deal with on any given day should you run into any trouble. There just seems to be alot if what if's in how it's written, how it's defined & how a Sprint rep would handle the situation.
You are right in that it may change but their are policies and procedures in place that dictate how we do our job. We have clear direction to help Android customers who have rooted devices. The other poster who corrected me is right in the fact that your manufacturer warranty is likely voided from rooting but Sprint will still make an attempt to help you with paid repair or TEP.
We also have clear direction that a jailbroken iPhone loses it's protection.
That is in the ToS so you cannot hold Sprint liable if you break your phone, if you download a virus/malware, install custom apps/software etc.
Yes you can break your phone beyond a point that can be fixed but that doesn't mean that we won't try to help you. Sprint doesn't get anything out of a customer who cancels because their rooted phone breaks and can't be fixed.

I can honestly say I am absolutely certain I didn't have root when I handed them my phone to be repaired.
I ODINed EK02, which removed my root, then I used a USB Jig, which reset my download count, and then I booted up my phone and was informed there was an update, and so I did the OTA to EL29. At this point I actually tried to install Titanium for ****s and giggles, only to be told I didn't meet the requirements to use the app, root, so I uninstalled it.
I've been having off and on issues with my E4GT screen and would like a replacement. Ive been living with it since february, but it's getting very annoying for such a beast of a phone. Is there any way I can switch it out and get a white one? I do have the tep insurance if it matters. I'm in the Dallas area. Please PM me if you think you can help
Chances are they'll send whatever refurb is next in line.

Since they are two foretaste model numbers, they will send whatever is attached to your account. Your best bet would be going to a local store and trying to persuade a rep to help you out... But chances are you'll be leaving with the same model that is on your account.
Good luck

I'm doing this same thing. My wife wants a white one now so I'm trying to figure something out.
I figure if I throw enough of a fit about how Sprint owes my a** something in order to make up for their lack of any mentionable data speeds while I still pay every month for 'premium data' - a white E4GT swap for my wife is the least they can do.
Otherwise I'll just cancel my contract with no ETF due to them failing to hold up their end of the contract. Or they can upgrade us both to a SGSIII when it comes out so I can have the speeds I was promised with LTE and 1x Advanced.
All I need is a tech!! I spoke to a 3rd party sprint rep and they said it can be switched with either, its basically up to the tech. Is there any one at all in the Dallas area that would like to help a fellow XDAer out? (i would be more than happy to bring a donation to a cause of their choosing )
btw I do have the ted insurance, so would that provide any help in getting a white replacement more easily? I dont want to pay the $100, but im almost willing to at this point. hence the "donation" not being an issue
I need help with this too but I live in NJ :/

Sprint rep, Sprint rep, Sprint rep!
o nvm i forgot i dont have a mirror app
bump. I would really like to get this resolved by the weekend
I already told you what you need to do.
You also have to remember that being a technician is our job, not strictly our hobby. We have to adhere to policies. I personally wouldn't swap you just because you asked, my SRSS frowns upon that.
The best thing to do is bite the bullet, drive to the store, and take whatever is given to you.
I understand what youve told me, however it is difficult for me to leave the office again and go through the hours of bs just to end up with someone looking at the thing for 20 min and saying nothing is wrong or I need to get a battery (yes, someone told me my screen and buttons malfunctioned due to my battery). This is not the first time I have done this and I am fed up to say the least. I know more about these devices and this network than 80% of the people working at the stores I've gone to.
Replacing the device is the hard part and the color change is a bird id like to kill with the same stone. All I was looking for was assistance from a fellow member to stream line things and get me the customer service that Sprint should be striving for. God knows their data speeds and innovation aren't going to save them.
I'm sorry for the rant, it was not directed at you. Ive been calling Sprint for weeks about separate issues and I was trying to take this issue on by myself. If it comes down to it I will bite the bullet and deal with them the old fashion way, but that is my last resort
Depending in what custom ROM you're running (sorry just assuming since you're on xda, if not it doesn't matter) if you type *#0*#0 on the dialer it brings up a diagnostic menu. One of the tests in this menu is a line drawing test for the touchscreen. If you can see it consistently messing up in a certain part of the screen that's one of the easiest tests we have to verify touchscreen issues and a good way to make sure the tech you talk to isn't just going to say sorry we can't verify the issue. And as much as it can suck if we can't reliably duplicate the issue our options are pretty limited as far as repair/replacement goes.
As for the color issue, I may be in the minority but if I have the parts in and someone comes in and asks nicely, I don't mind swapping what color someones screen/housing is of there's actually a problem

Yea when they sent us the code that's how out was written but now that I think about out out does just jump into the menu as soon a you hit the second #. I think it only works on completely stock roms though, I just tried it on calks el29 and no joy

An easy way to tell, for me, is dragging down notification bar, if it gets really choppy in a certain area, then you definitely have a spot that's out. Doesn't always work, but easy to tell. The dio menu, I am pretty sure it only works on completely stock roms with EL29, I have not tried on any ICS leaks though. I am currently running CM, so obviously, doesn't work lol.

I have had a Sprint rep tell me that a charging issue that my old Hero had was due to a bad cable. So I bought a new cable(not from sprint) and had the same problem. Took it back and they said it was the battery. So I bought a new battery(not from sprint), and had the same issue(returned the battery after. The last issue they said was that the charging port was loose, but they didn't want to fix it because they didn't want to ruin the internals of the phone.
I have hardly ever gotten good service by a rep in a Sprint store. I have gotten good service over the phone though.

I'd cancel your contract in a heartbeat.
It's a cell phone, there is no reason to have a sense of entitlement. If you don't like your data speeds or whatever, cut ship and go elsewhere. But don't even try that bull****.
If you really want a white one shove a flat head in your charging port and break the pins ( made me cringe when I seen my buddy do it) automatically a replacement cause we can't fix them. Then go to a 3rd party preferred retailer and when they go to order it just ask nicely for a white one. As long as you have TEP is all free

I recently had the random menu pop up and bottom key freeze on my E4GT. It was real bad, my phone was barely usable. Sprint replaced my phone with a refurbished warranty phone, and same exact problem with that phone. Well I went thru 3 phones all with the same problem. I was told it was a glitch with a part in the bottom of the touch screen that apparently goes bad. They replaced the so called defective piece (the whole touch screen). That was done to my 3rd phone. And still same problem. It would always happen about 24 hours after I picked up my phone and it would act up worse when I was in a bad signal area. I became very aggravated. I can understand 1 phone but 3 ? Well the 4th phone I got doesn't act up but I'm still experiencing the bottom keys randomly freezing upon waking the screen. Happens about 4 - 5 times a day. I was on stock FI27 w/ no root. And also I found it odd that when I got the ota for FL24 my phone aborted it and stuck in stock recovery. So I rebooted and went to system updates and it said my software was up to date even tho I was still on FI27. I waited 2 weeks and never got the ota again so I decided to manually update to FL24. Few days after that when QBKing posted FL24 w/ root I decided to root my phone. The bottom keys still freeze randomly only upon wake. I'm afraid to ask for another replacement in fear of getting another bad one with the menu pop up. Id rather deal with the bottom key freeze then the other problem. But it is aggravating with the bottom keys freezing. I shouldn't have to deal with any issues. Anyone familiar with this or experiencing anything like this ? Or does anyone know anything about this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Its called phantom key presses. Are you in a low signal area? It happens because antennae is behind touch buttons. When your in low signal area it causes interference. Theres a thread in detail about this. My previous e4gts did this. I just received a brand new not refurb phone from insurance was built 12-2-12. I have not seen this at all. Tell them you want a new one!!

The manager at my local sprint store (independently owned & operated) told my brother that the S2's are still garbage and he should buy an S3 instead. Take it for what it's worth. My phone randomly freezes with the screen off and kills the battery, even while I was on stock. My sister's phone has never had a single issue. She also somehow gets 18 hours out of a single battery charge with heavy wifi use. I'm lucky to get 10 with minimal use. I swapped the batteries, and no difference.
It seems these phones have relatively poor QC, but the good ones are great. Why do you think the refurbs were sent back originally? They "test" them and then send them right back out the door.
Yeah I think ur right. And I can't upgrade for a year.

Just as a reference I have two SGs2Epic's since Oct 2011, never had any issues whatsoever,in fact we have not set foot in a Sprint store since Aug 2011. My wife has drop her phone dozens of times, once in the toilet, took it apart, let it dry out overnight in front of ac, reassembled the next morning and its still going strong. The only thing we did to these phones was replace the batteries this past DEC. Both phones are rooted ,mine is on st/ro jelly bean, hers on GB Calk's fabulous E4GT v3.0.
Your condition sounds kind of weird? MikeTuky may be right about the low signal theory, sounds plausible.
Correction/ Did go to a Sprint store around DEC 2011,looking for a doc for our phones. / got it at Amazon.

i doubt they will give out new ones now, since the s3 has been out for a while and s4 rumors are running rampant and that usually means a release in the near future. what i don't get is how Samsung/sprint can let so many defective units remain in circulation. you would think a recall would have happened at some point. i cant get my gps to work if my life depended on it and i tried every trick in the book and 2 replacements to fix it. Though i guess it doesnt matter to me at this point since im jumping ship to t-mobile as soon as the s4 drops
although, im curious to know if the other gs2 variants have the same issues just to know who i should blame.
