[Q] Rsd Lite Not Detecting! - Defy General

Hello all
Rsd Lite can't detect my motorola (tried with 4.7 and 4.9 with the moto drivers)
I've already installed the root and 2nd init 2.51 (newest one)
When booting to clockworkmod recovery v2.5.1.8 if I try to flash from zip it says E: can't mount /sdcard and if rsd lite is not working.. how can I get to flash custom roms? what's the solution? due to the fact that I cant flash rsd lite I wasn't able to do the step flash on the guide, thats why it doesn't recognise my sdcard in clockworkmod?
thank you

sorry for the spanish, Its wierd 'cause when it was detected the status said "connected" and it was in the "desktop" of android (couldn't click the button start), I've read around there that it has to be in boot mode to do the flash but I have no idea what is that boot mode (I've tried in bootloader option but it doesnt detect it)
can someone give me any tips or any guide that has been useful to you? thanks again

new news I was doing the boot mode wrong, instead of power + up down I was doing power + vol down, rsd lite recognise my moto device but.... after selecting the file I can't press the "start" button anyone knows why?

problem solved, "thx" xd
the issue was that the file to flash from cm7 didn't let me, I've tried with the froyo Europe Orange deblurred and it worked.

RSD Lite Not detecting
I am having the same problem. I have installed RSD Lite and I have a AT&T Motorola flipside (Eclair). I am attempting to install SPRecovery because I want to upgrade to Froyo.
I was able to install RSD Lite 4.5 and it detected my phone, but the sync failed. I found an article that said the flipside required version 4.9 of RSD Lite. I upgraded RSD lite and now it doesn't detect. I have updated the most updated drivers from Motorola (I know this, because I have the ADB dev kit and can connect to my device via the command line - which is how I rooted my phone).
Any thoughts?
Sorry... Additional note: I updated the pst_flash.ini and tried changing the device detection settings, but both of those options failed as well.

I try doing it too but no success, I think you should flash first a custom rom, then you will be able to flash touch recovery and it will for sure work.
I will let know about some test I make!
I'll be honest, I didn't try it, but it will work. That's really not a bad idea and would work with any phone Gingerbreak works on....You should release that in Android General.
I would use it, I'm just too lazy to flash an sbf and then set my phone back up again. I'm happy with my Bravo for the moment...and its my onlyl phone...That really is a simple, yet useful, solution.
gracias

--------------------------------------------------------
If you have adb installed on your pc, using this one will cause no problem to the phone or your pc.
Your antivirus detects gingerbreak as a virus because of an exploit command inside the apk file, you can deactivate your antivirus and use it with no problem, no risk with it.
I'll add, s1c/rage against the cage/gingerbreak all show up as viruses because they are. Not kill you PC virus, but virus none the less. Technically they're exploits, but still get picked up by scanners.
Gonna need some testers for LINUX and MAC, when its ready I will you know people!
Working great!. Will flash a Rom right now . Thnx to make our life easier!.
Took a few flashes, but I got there in the end! Great stuff, thanks!!
Worked like a charm. Thanks!!

Motorola Motosmart XT389 ROOT Success!!!

Root the Motorola XT389 with Android 2.3.6
Dear friends this mobile users who were already giving up rooting your device ...
your problems are over!
After long research, I could find a forum that I am associated with the root of the XT389!
Tested and approved! 100% approved without any error!
Follow below correctly questions, please ask!
Making:
1) Download drivers for motorola XT390 and XT389 on the following link: HERE!
2) Install the drivers you downloaded in step 1, make sure your phone is unplugged during installation.
3) After installing the drivers enable USB Debugging in Settings> Applications> Development> USB Debugging
4) After step 3 connect the usb cable in the phone and the computer, the computer will recognize your phone and install drivers, wait until your computer recognizes all drivers.
The following software is Chinese and obviously is all in Chinese, to run it you will need to install a software called microsoft AppLocale (link here) How to install AppLocale on windows vista, 7 or 8: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9t9iZJBwNA0&feature=youtu.be
In Windows XP before running the Chinese application will need to install the East Asian languages: Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options.
5) Now we will download and install the software which will make root: HERE!
6) Installation is easy although it was in Chinese, giving just go next, the only option you have is to uncheck that option is checked at the end of the installation (it will start the program after installation and we do not want that because will give error.) Now that the program is installed, note that he created two icons on the desktop, an all blue and other colors of blue, green and orange.
7) Rename the icon for all bluish Romaster
8) Open AppLocale you installed just now, when you open click next.
9) an option will appear for you to select a file, select the shortcut to Romaster (all blue icon) that is on the desktop and click next
10) It will detect the language of the program automatically, just press next and then finish.
finish Clicking the following program must be open:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
If you've done steps 1, 2, 3 and 4 correctly it will automatically recognize your device and it will sync with your handset right away. sync with the handset it will automatically install the control software on your USB device, wait until the program becomes as follows:
NOTE: The program will install a root or two apps necessary for root on your phone, you'll need at least 20MB free on internal memory.
11) At first tab in the program click on the link that is inside the red rectangle:
It will ask if you really want to start the process of root, just confirm by clicking on the esqueda.
During the root the following message will appear:
The root process will take a while and the phone will reboot several times (do not be alarmed), NEVER remove or disconnect the phone during the root process.
Wait for your phone to restart it stop start the system again.
12) After your phone have started normally, close the Romaster disconnect the USB cable from your phone
13) [Optional] Uninstall the app Chinese USB integration that was installed by Romaster Ready your Motorola XT389 is rooted. At the end of the install root checker to verify your phone is really rooted.
Note: After the unit is rooted not in any way disable the USB debugging or root will stop working and the system is unstable.

Help
Hi,
I have followed the instructions to the letter but when I open Applocale and then open Romaster shortcut I get a box with chinese writing (I dont know what it says) with a yellow triangle next to it with the only option to close the box.
It simply not opening or connecting to phone?
I have tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling going back to very start and its still doing it.
Any suggestions?
I would add a screenshot if this thread would let me!!!
how do you change the language on the program?
It works!
I have one XT389 and the program (the link download one updated version...and different) root it!!! Unfortunately the tutorial dont refers to this new version. For that reason I had to walk blindly. Only need to translate from chinese the words "permit" "Ok" "afirmative" and "yes" to guess the actions.

Can I install twrp by Termux?

Hi, everyone
I have the galaxy a50 505g and I would like to know if it is possible to install TWRP by Termux, since I have tried to install it by Odin without positive result (the device restarts again and again and I can not get it into recovery mode) and also with the Magisk patch (to which I have my device rooted with this tool). I have also tried with ADB, however it does not recognize my device in download mode
If any of you can help me I would greatly appreciate it.
In advance, thank you all for reading.

I am writing this for anyone to use at their own risk, it is not complicated.
Once updated from Indonesia Miui 11 Android 9 rom to Android 10 and installed a recovery incorrectly and I have returned to
lock my Redmi Note 8 Pro (Begoña) and this time I have not waited for the battery to drain as in the previous one (post # 196)
I have used the Test Point method.
This is what I have done:
-Copied the folder from the Indonesian rom V10.4.2.0, once the zip is unzipped, in Computer> C
-Installed SP Flash Tool v5. 1924 Win also in C
-Removed the back of the mobile and removed the housing that is above the battery (Photo 1).
-Prepared a piece of fine copper wire, I have connected one end to a screw on the mobile plate making ground (Photo 2) and to
the other end I have connected a nail (Photo 4) .Then I have opened the Flash Tool and I have put the scatter that
*it is in the "images" folder of the rom that I had copied in C, and the DA and the authentication file that is in it
*Flash Tool folder and I have connected the usb cable to the mobile, only to the mobile.
-I pressed "Download Only" and connected the other end of the copper cable, prepared with a nail, in the
*point Kcol0 (Photo 3) and I have connected the usb cable to the computer. The bottom bar of the FlashTool has started to fill in
*color red first and then change color until the "Download Ok" symbol appears
*I have done it with the battery disconnected (others say it is connected) and with all the files marked on the
*Flash Tool (others say that you only have to mark the preolader) and it has worked for me.
*
After a few minutes the mobile has started with MIUI 10 and Android 9, as expected by the rom with which I have done it and
then I have already installed MIUI 11 and then I have updated to Android 10, both with MiFlash20191206 of Xiaomi. To finish
installing the appropriate recovery, this time yes, and doing root
If you have disconnected the battery, open the phone as in photo 1 of the three that I attach.

If you have disconnected the battery, open the phone as in photo 1 of the three that I attach.
The first time it crashed I revived it waiting for the battery to drain (post # 196) and now I have it back
to briquet when flashing wrong twrp and I have not waited for it to be exhausted again but I have done it
with a test point.
In photos two and three I show you where you have to connect the cable and privately I send you a link to an explanatory video
because I don't know if I can put links to youtube here.
It worked perfectly for me on the first try.

I definitely would appreciate anything that would get this flash to go through... I already have mine apart and have been trying everything to get it unbricked with no success as of yet...

Your method does not work because it depends on the motherboard you are using, for example the Mediatek uses another type of test point and they are blocked, I think that is why Xiaomi does not want to give more support to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro (Begonia) as devices!
I have tried it several times and it does not work, the only thing is a working method is: Having the volume up pressed until the Mode Flash mode is activated and with the SP Flash Tool. The problem is that it asks for an Authorized Account and it is what I am looking for (of course to payment)
The Procedure
0. Unzip your device's firmware.
1. Install MiFlashPro.
2. Navigate to (installation_directory)/MiFlashPro/SP_Flash_Tool/mi and run "account_auth.exe" (Run as administrator). In the window that opens, log in with an authorized Xiaomi Account.
3. Navigate to (installation_directory)/MiFlashPro/SP_Flash_Tool nad run "flash_tool.exe". The SP_Flash_Tool interface opens. Now you have to select the 3 files:
Download-Agent: (installation_directory)/MiFlashPro/SP_Flash_Tool/MTK_AllInOne_DA_mt6765_mt6785.bin
Scatter-loading File: You will find this one on your stock rom folder, especially on the folder called "images".
Authentication File: (installation_directory)/MiFlashPro/SP_Flash_Tool/auth_sv5.auth
4. Press the "Download" button.
5. Connect the USB cable to your PC but NOT YET to your phone.
6. Hold the vol+ button on your phone pressed and NOW connect the cable to it.
7. The program should now react and start the flashing process without giving an error.
8. Wait for the flashing process to end and enjoy!

[Guide] Easy Way to Get Lineage+Magisk+Gapps [Xperia 10]

Hello, after several days trying to get Lineage with Magisk and NikGapps... I have succeeded.
I know that in this forum many people know much more than me and they will not need this tutorial, I am a newbie and this guide is for newbies. I accept corrections.
With my Xperia 10 I had a lot of problems. So I would like to return the help they have given me, the way is by writing this little guide.
1. First we unlock the bootloader:
2. (Optional) Install a clean Stock ROM with Emma (easier) or Newflasher (you need to download the firmware/ROM from Xperifirm first).
3. We put the mobile in Fastboot mode (Power + Vol-) and connect it to the computer. I had to use Linux on the computer, since Windows did not recognize the fastboot mode of the Xperia 10 (but it did in ADB).
4. The command to install TWRP is normally "fasboot boot twrp.img", but it didn't work for me (nor did others I tried). Only this one worked for me:
fastboot flash boot_a twrp.img
fastboot flash boot_b twrp.img
I used both. What this does is install TWRP on partitions A and B. It may be crazy, but it's the only thing that worked for me.
5. Start TWRP with Power+Vol-.
6. Install Lineage.
7. Reboot the System and check that Lineage loads.
8. From this step I had serious problems, because I was trying to keep TWRP (so I could install Magisk and Nikgapps). However, I couldn't get Lineage to work while having TWRP.
8.1. Start Lineage Recovery with Power+Vol-
8.2. "Apply update"
8.3. "Choose from disk"
8.4. Select Magisk-v21.1.zip
8.5. "Signature verification failed. Install anyway?" AND IT IS
8.6. We restart
9.1. Start Lineage Recovery with Power+Vol-
9.2. "Apply update"
9.3. "Choose from disk"
9.4. Select the Gapps file (in my case: NikGapps-core-arm64-11-20220222-signed.zip)
9.5. "Signature verification failed. Install anyway?" AND IT IS
9.6. We restart
I suppose that steps 8 and 9 can be done at once, but I preferred to do it that way for greater security.
Tutorial made in Spanish and translated into English:
---
fastboot flash boot_a twrp.img
fastboot flash boot_b twrp.img
8.1. Inicia el Recovery de Lineage con Power+Vol-
8.2. "Aplly update"
8.3. "Choose from disk"
8.4. Seleccionar Magisk-v21.1.zip
8.5. "Signature verification failed. Install anyway?" YES
8.6. Reiniciamos
9.1. Inicia el Recovery de Lineage con Power+Vol-
9.2. "Aplly update"
9.3. "Choose from disk"
9.4. Seleccionar el archivo de Gapps (en mi caso: NikGapps-core-arm64-11-20220222-signed.zip)
9.5. "Signature verification failed. Install anyway?" YES
9.6. Reiniciamos

has anyone had any luck getting magisk 21.1 to work with this rom and twrp yet?
im going round in circles trying to root after updating. i can install magisk from twrp, but i end up in a bootloop, then installing the bootloop fix from twrp wipes magisk and breaks root.
i know 21.1 is a beta and likely doesnt support sony phones yet, but someone might have a fix.
EDIT: I have root working now. Anyone having trouble, DONT install twrp to ramdisk. just leave the lineageOS recovery in place and use fastboot on a pc to boot twrp when you need it.
I did the following:
1. fresh stock firmware via newflash
2.flash sony software binaries for a11
3. fastboot boot twrp.img
4.swap to partition b
5. power off
6. fastboot boot twrp.img (check you are booted to partition b)
7. flash lineageos 18
8.reboot select partition a and POWER OFF
9. fastboot boot twrp.img
10. check partition is a
11. flash copy partition.zip
12. flash magisk 21.1.zip
13. flash nikGapps basic for a11
14. reboot system
15. install magiskmanager 8.0.3.apk
16. reboot
17. update your apps on playstore.
18. PROFIT.
lineage os18 rooted on my xperia 10.

I tried to do it this way, but it didn't work for me (maybe because I'm very new to Xperia).
